I was there for a conference so I stayed where the conference was... and It rained the whole time we were there and we were there for Halloween... didnt really have fun lol
We did go the the Aquarium... I wasnt impressed... Baltimore is better haha but I did go to The Varsity because I was told it was a must :) |
Haley- I didnt notice you were from MD--I'm from Bethesda originally :) Well, NW DC originally, but Bethesda more recently.
Skinny- snowboarding is really fun but tough. I've been trying it a little bc as a ski instructor I have access to equipment and snowboard instructors. My bf has actually been teaching me; he was a liftie at Sugarbush last season. My first lesson he wouldn't let me quit until I'd made 5 linked turns...and it worked! Stella- I have a brake-happy friend, and one year I got her a bumper sticker that said "I brake for no apparent reason"...I don't think she ever put it on her car though, lol. Feral--I am totally with you, I loooove Savannah. My parents have a house in St. Simon's Island and I go down there a couple times a year. I could totally see myself ending up in Savannah or on Tybee :) |
I love the GA Aquarium, but I have been to the one in Balitmore.
Everyone in Georgia (at least all people native to it) LOVE The Varsity. Personally I don't get it. It's okay... and I guess its just a staple of tradition. I prefer this place called The Beacon in Spartenburg, SC. Its actually been featured on Food Networks Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. To me its like The Varsity except better... and not as commercialized. |
Forest: Savanah is amazing and so is Tybee... I could totally live there... I'm orginally from PG Conunty but we moved to Calvert... I just applied for some jobs in Bethesda which would mean a move :) lol
Feral: The Varsity is interesting...they dont have a ton of different foods... I think its the experience... I wanted to eat some fried chicken and waffles but that didnt happen haha |
Morning Girls!
Well I am back again to make a commitment to 3FC I need to get my butt in shape now that I am newly single. I broke up with my bf last saturday night after being together nearly 6 years. We were just not good for each other. Long distance, complete opposites future inlaw issues etc etc. I am surprised at the eating I havent done. Its like there is finally just a little bit of peace and I am more OK that I think I am. I am tore up dont get me wrong but its like the tore up now but gonna be OK soon type thing. So I am going to the gym tonight after work for like the first time in probably a month. I am going to get back into routine. |
BEEEEEEE!!!! Welcome back hon! Sorry to hear about the boyfriend, but it sounds like you know this is for the best! You know we're always around here for you!!!!! :) Way to jump back on the horse!

Haleyislove – Coronado is beautiful. You don’t need AC even in the hottest part of summer because there’s always a cool ocean breeze. And usually you’ll only need the heater maybe 15 days out of the winter! I grew up in a suburbish area about 10 miles from the coast, so it gets up in the 90’s in summer (but I’m def not complaining =)
Stellarosa and forestroad– hello! Feral - Nooooo!!!! I don’t want cali to fall in the ocean!!! Luckily I’m a good swimmer :D I’ll just live on my surfboard hehe Mary- I’m gonna go look at your dress pics!!!!! |
You guys are extra chatty today I'm having trouble keeping up lol!
Bee - Welcome back! Sorry to hear about your breakup, but like Feral said - it sounds like you know what's best for you. Congrats on not going to food to comfort yourself! OK, so for the past few months I've been checking and checking and checking for job listings. So far the ones I've found have been either not what I want to do, I'm under qualified for, they're already filled, OR they're too far of a drive. BUT! I just found a listing for an office assistant/receptionist position in Marlton (depending on where in the town it is, it's like 15 minutes from my house woo! Thank you NJ towns that overlap like crazy!) and I wrote my first resume today and sent it to them to apply for the job! I don't know if I'll get it, but the listing was posted yesterday so hopefully!!! *fingers crossed* It's not much at all, Thursday and Friday $12/hr for 16 hours. And they're only hiring 1 or 2 people. BUT it's a job, and it's a little bit of money so hopefully I'll be considered for it! Even though I'd prefer getting at least a 20 hour per week job, this would actually be perfect for my school and social schedule right now. The office closes at 5 on friday, so I'll still be able to see my boyfriend and hang out with my friends and do my classwork early in the week and party on the weekends :D AND I'll still be able to have my intense work out schedule! So, I hope I get the job lol! Wish me luck ladies! |
Mary - GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK!!!!
Jazz -- you surf? That is awesome! Maybe I could do that instead of snowboarding/skateboarding. I love the water... not too fond of sharks. But, I know some people who could teach me when I move to Florida! |
Feral - Definitely try surfing! It's sooo much fun! I haven't done it in a few years, but it's a fun work out! I'm also an avid skiier so I always promote snow sports lol! And thanks for the luck!
|
Unfortunately Florida is AT LEAST a year away, maybe 2 depending on me getting into nursing school and where I get in.... not allowed to move until then. *hmph!*
|
feral - yeah surfing is a blast. i like it because when you fall down, you fall into water and it doesnt hurt. even if you wipe out pretty hard, you just get spun around a bit, but no harm done!
right now is the eddie aikau memorial - live on quiksilver: http://live.quiksilver.com/2009/eddi...btn_live=_over BIG WAVE - too scary lol, but cool to watch |
omg i would give anything to be there right now...the water looks amazing.
|

Ummmmmmm WOW!!!! A) scary B) I WANNA BE THERE!!!! Isn't Hawaii like 5 hours behind EST? So its only about 9:00 in the morning there? That is the whole reason I want to live by the beach!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the ocean. Although I do have crazy dreams about tidal waves...
