Platform - where or where do you get your energy, and can you please send some up to me in canada?

PammyFl 12-10-2009 03:35 PM

Feral- I dunno the site just hates me I have tried everything I cleared all the cache and cookies and that seemed to work for a while but now its back to acting up. :( No friends in Chicago just my bf and his family and his friends none really close enough to borrow clothes from though :/ I guess im just going to have to bring my jacket even with it too big and just make it work over my existing clothes.
Mary- Well she didn't actually ask me in front of them about what was in it. I worked my rear off on all that food and spent 3 days scrubbing the house top to bottom without any acknowledgment. Oh well... Geez girl! Slow down! lol I spent the last 3 hours cleaning my mothers shop, and Its still no where near clean. Shes a florist and runs a business out of the house and she has a small shop on the side of the house. It works out nice I guess

stellarosa27 12-10-2009 04:01 PM

Oh, to be young again and have that kind of energy. Mary you need to send me some of that for this weekend b/c its going to be CRAZY.

I'm getting to work early tomorrow (to make up for the lateness today) - then there's a b-day party in DC, Saturday I have to knit, clean my apartment and I have a holiday party, then Sunday I'm going to spend making sauce for the baked ziti I'm bringing to our team's holiday party. Somewhere in there I have to finish Christmas shopping, fill out Christmas cards and actually buy stamps to send them.

platformnine 12-10-2009 04:08 PM

Skinny - I have no idea, honestly lol! Maybe because I will never ever give up carbs? I had cereal and yogurt for breakfast, an apple as a snack, and oatmeal with blueberries and almonds for lunch.

Pammy - Aww :C And I can't slow down, I slacked off on working out over the weekend and earlier in the week!

Stella - Mmmm baked ziti.... My Poppop makes the BEST baked ziti ever and oh man I want some right now!

Okay, so it's a bit of a hike, but I'm totally joining in on the MD goal shopping trip :) I have NO style, whatsoever. Like, I can put on a clean shirt and a clean pair of pants, but after that, I have nothing. Today, I'm really proud of myself for putting on a necklace, but my hair is still in the pulled back wet bun that I wear it in every day, so I'm not counting this as a win...

Oh - and those of you who are having trouble with pants - I'm totally in the same boat, thanks to the thunder thighs that run in my family. I've had a lot of luck with NY&CO, but they're expensive (to me). I'm about to shrink out of 3 pairs of them, but I think I'm going to get them tailored because that's a lot of pants money right there!

forestroad 12-10-2009 04:54 PM

Speaking of pants, my Lulu Lemons came in the mail today!! All hemmed, just for me. Stretchy, comfy, and wonderful.

I want to join the MD meet up too lol...it will give me maintenance motivation to still be at goal by the summer :) I'll probably be in MD the latter half of the summer while I have nowhere else to live besides my parents.

stellarosa27 12-10-2009 05:04 PM

That's it - group shopping trip. This is going to be so much fun!!

NJ gets a reputation for having so many malls, but I've found that MD isn't far past.

Forest - what are you doing with your house, if you don't mind me asking?

forestroad 12-10-2009 05:09 PM

You mean my house in VT, while I'm at grad school? I'm renting it out, if I can, and if I can't, I guess I have to sell it. I want to come back to it after grad school, but honestly I'm not optimistic about the job market in VT. We're supposed to recover even later than the rest of the country, in like 2014 or something. In that case, hopefully I'll find some good tenants and just be able to keep it as a rental until I'm able to afford it as a second home. I only owe about half of what it's worth, so if I got a well paying job in boston, nyc, or dc, I could have it paid off in a couple of years and then just owe property taxes and maintenance on it. Why--you in the market for a VT chalet??

stellarosa27 12-10-2009 05:26 PM

I have to start looking myself for a house soon, but unfortunately the job's in MD. I wish there was a market for what I do up north, but unfortunately its all in Maryland, NJ, NY or California and I can't move away from the east coast.

A Vermont chalet does sound charming, though. Good luck with getting good tenants. The rental market is supposed to be awesome right now and if you're near a school, maybe you'll luck out.

forestroad 12-10-2009 05:36 PM

Haha it is charming. I am near a college so hopefully it will work out--there's a lot on the rental market, but my house has some unique stuff going for it, and you can't beat the price :) I just had an energy audit done and I'm trying to get a 0% deferred loan to make improvements, so hopefully it will run itself while I'm away. But it is STRESSFUL.

Stella - There are a lot of malls here lol. Cherry Hill Mall is my favorite - Coaaaaach :D And they just put in an Urban Outfitters, Nordstrom, re-did Forever 21, American Eagle, and Aeropostale, and put in a bunch of other new stores too.

Smisen - Come to us, we will be your fashion gurus lol

Forest - I'm sure you'll find someone that wants to rent a VT chalet! I love chalets! Plus, you're in VT and that's some good skiing!

I did Jillian's No More Trouble Zones (the quick version, so it's 40 minutes instead of 60) and my arms and legs felt like jelly after lol! But then I ate dinner and now I feel better. I need to write these papers, seriously! I'm doing them. I'm doing them, I'm doing them, I'm doing them! Then I might pass out and go to bed early instead of cleaning the basement lol! I can do that tomorrow. I'll watch Alice again tonight, instead!

Feral - OMG I totally just realized I forgot to send you the download links for Alice! I'm sorry! I'll get on that right now!

stellarosa27 12-10-2009 06:20 PM

Mary - where I grew up (yay Bayonne) we had Newport Mall, Hudson Mall, Jersey Gardens, Paramus Park, Short Hills, Garden State Plaza, Menlo Park....and I'm possibly forgetting some more - that's all in like a 35 minute radius not counting Staten Island b/c that's in NY. We love our malls.

Alright, I'm FINALLY leaving work to go do C25K (meaningful look to Feral) and I'm going to play Wii Fit - maybe box a little, then its off to bed. I want to get in here around 7 tomorrow so I can leave by 5:30 and go out in DC tomorrow for my friend's birthday.

(I'm working odd hours to make up for the hours I'm able to leave early for school, no body worry that I'm working like 10 hour days and enjoying it)

I can't wait for next week, back to my 8:15 to 4:45 schedule :)

platformnine 12-10-2009 06:26 PM

Stella - I love the Jersey Gardens mall, I went there last Christmas with my friend! It was a bit of a hike from SJ but it was a really cool mall!

Ooohhh, ladies, I almost forgot! I was looking through the Newport News magazine that came today out of curiosity and I stumbled upon THESE adorable shoes that were on sale for $25! So I got them :D

Air81 12-10-2009 06:52 PM

Haley~ I've lost 42lbs so far and all my clothes still fit!!! Go ahead, explain it! HA. I was a 20-22 and I am more an 18 now, but yes my entire wardrobe fits, but some if baggy (nothing is falling off yet). I am hoping by 185-190 I will need to get rid of some things and hopefully everything will be gone by July 1.

Air81 12-10-2009 07:01 PM

Forest~ Where are you going to grad school?
