Maybe it just comes down to percentages at the end? If it's just by pounds lost I'm prolly gonna end up being a bit of a handicap too. Oh well it's not really the point anyway... as long as we all lose weight. If they do decide to go by percentages later at least Kim is on top of all that stuff for us!

it should be done by percentage, because its not fair for us who only need to lose a few pounds.

That's weird. Where did my post go? The one that Tigerlily answered about why they're measuring in pounds lost rather than percentage of weight loss? Cuz I am a major handicap to you guys since I only have 8 more pounds to lose! Sorry! :)

Jahjah~ I’m doing C25K right now, starting my 3rd week. I do a benefit 5K every May and am hoping to run it for the 1st time this year! HWGA~ Great Job! How did your weigh in go? Tara~ I really like your $5 idea! I might be stealing that… Running is a great way to lose inches, make sure you are checking those too! Gretchy~ Great job! I have taken before pics, but plan on waiting until I hit my 1st 10% before I start taking after pics. Tigar~ Planning is key! That’s great the you were able to hold yourself to that! Sorry I’m a little late today! My weekend wasn’t quite long enough as I had to work all of it. I wasn’t very good with food once again, but better than I was last weekend. I’m gonna have to aim to improve a little each week until I’m at the point I want to be at. I have both track and AAU bball tonight so it’s going to be a LONG day. Today’s Question~ What is your favorite healthy meal you get when you eat out? I have a hard time with take out meals. My favorite from the local pizzeria is to get a chef salad with no turkey or ham, grilled chicken instead, and I bring my own low fat dressing. For Chinese, I love beef with pea pods. We’re kinda boring and don’t eat anywhere else… Although there is a diner that I like to get a western sandwich (egg with onions and peppers) with wheat bread and a side of peas. Dining out is very hard for me. I don’t eat out often, so it’s hard for me to feel like I shouldn’t be spoiling myself. I PMd Lalique about the percentages asking if we could please include them in the standings. Some teams have more weight to lose than others, so going by pounds lost is somewhat mis-leading. I don't think it will change our standings much, but will give us a better idea. Reminder~ POST YOUR WEIGH INS!!! Thank you to everyone that already has!!! I started putting the numbers in my cool spreadsheet (yes I'm a dork) and with not even half of us weighing in we're only 3 lbs. shy of losing as much as we did last week. |
My weigh in wasn't good. I was at 277. I did every thing right! I worked out 6 times last week. ate on plan.
My trainer suggested I do that master cleanse for four days. I'm going to do that starting tomorrow. I know some people say we don't need to cleanse but I don't going to do it. I can still eat fruits and veggies but that's it. plus the master cleanse driking thing. |

Tuesday March 17th... Saint Patrick's Day!!!
HWGA~ I love food too much, so I don’t think I could successfully complete the cleanse program. 0.5 lbs. Could just be water retention or a muscle gain so don’t beat yourself up!
Jahjah, Peatrix & Tara~ I sent Lalique a PM asking if we could include percentages. I bet she’s super busy right now and will get back to us when she gets a chance. Today’s Question~ Do you drink soda? If so, what? If not, what do you drink to add flavor to your daily beverage intake? I have to say I have become almost a strict water drinker. I do have a mug of green tea every morning and on occasion will have a class of sprite zero, but I really don’t crave anything else. I focus more on getting my flavors from my food and just using liquids to hydrate. I should have our weigh in stuff all set to post tomorrow morning. I pushed through my C25K post at a snail’s pace yesterday, but I did finish! And I did jog! I know I was getting some funny looks, but I don’t really care anymore. When I’m kicking butt in a few months they won’t be giving me those funny looks anymore. Tomorrow is my big weigh in so I’m hoping that my work will continue to pay off as it has! |
I apologize in advance if I mess things up a little this week. I've just ended it with the guy I've been dating for two years, the guy I thought I was going to marry. . . And while I'm trying not to eat crappy food because I feel crappy, I apologize if it does happen :(

I only drink natural sodas and definitely nothing with aspartame. When I dieted in the past I would fill myself up with diet sodas and boy did I feel crappy! There are so many unhealthy chemicals. HWGA I've done the Master Cleanse--only if you're doing the true Master Cleanse, then you're not eating fruits and vegetables, and you do it for at least ten days. But, even the cleanse that you described sounds good to clean out the junk from your system! The first three days are the worst as far as detoxing from caffeine and chemicals, but you will feel so good afterwards! Good luck! |
I don't drink any soda. I don't add any flavors either. :) Just good ole' water. :)

I have a diet soda every once in a while. Mostly I drink water, flavored water, hot tea, and diet iced tea. No fruit juice or anything else that is high in calories. Not worth it.

Sounds like most of us stay away from the soda! Which is very good! Sorry I was MIA yesterday, had a relationship/family emergency and couldn’t get to a computer to post. Today’s Question~ Do you use a pedometer? If not, how do you make sure that you’re being active enough? I use a pedometer and make sure that I hit at least 10,000 steps EVERY day. Mediocre weigh in last night with a 0.8 loss… Good workouts over the past few days, so hopefully I’ll see a good loss soon. |
Hey ladies!!!! I woke up this morning beginning of day 3 on the master cleanse and I was 271!! I've lost 6 pounds so far and in reality I woke up yesterday and I was 280 so to be 271 today is awesome! I have today and tomorrow and then I'm done.
