jahjah1223 & aangel22~ Did you reach your goals for the weekend?
HWGA~ Great job! You hooked now? Today's Question~ Who supports you in your weight loss? Some receive support from home while others have to look for support online. Who do you get the most support from? I receive some support from my parents and BF but also find that I find quite a bit of criticism as well. Everyone in my family seems to feel that they are their own self-proclaimed experts in weight loss, so I like to turn to 3FC for the support I need. At least I know I will find people here who are struggling with the same things I am and can give REALISTIC advice, versus my BFs, just stop eating crap and you'll be fine. True... but I can't just magically stop wanting to eat "crap." So this weekend was a semi-successful, semi-not successful weekend. Basically Saturday was a flop with Burger King mixed in and Sunday was better, but still involved a gas station food stop. I did finish week 4 of C25K yesterday and was excited to realize that it wasn't as hard as the last 2 workouts had been! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! |
I stayed OP this weekend!!
|
I stayed OP this week too! Jahjah We must be on the same schedule. It felt really good after having such a bad week last week. In answer to today's question, the most support definitely comes from the people on here! My latest trick to thwart nighttime eating is that when I get home and am hungry, but don't have many or any points to spare, I browse this site for awhile and by the time I'm done have enough motivation to eat only what's allowed within my plan. It is a HUGE help!
I hate to mention it, but.....newsletter?!?!?!? |
I stayed OP too. ;)
QOTD: I get most my support from 3FC, one of my friends, and DH. DH makes comments that are meant to be nice, but sometimes come out a bit harsh. Or he'll say something that completely pisses me off but he really didn't mean to. I know he tries and that is all that matters. ;) I definitely love 3FC though. It is so good to hear from other people who've been where I've been. *DH has never been overweight or obese, so he really can't understand fully how I feel.* |

jahjah1223~ Great job!!!
Peatrix~ I love how you avoid your night time eating. I need to get internet at home! I have no idea what's going on with the newsletter... aangel22~ I totally understand when you say your DH makes comments that are meant to be nice, but don't come out that way, my BF does that all the time. Today's Question~ When did you start your weight loss journey this time (if you have tried more than once)? I started in October, but was really sick until mid-January, which is when I feel like my journey really began. I'm having a really hard time getting and staying motivated this week. I know this is just a slump, but I'm really having a hard time pulling myself out of it. I'm looking forward to C25K today as I know I will feel better afterwards... |
Today's Question~ When did you start your weight loss journey this time (if you have tried more than once)?
I feel like I have started and stopped losing weight a million times. The last time I did it was the summer of 2005 just after my father passed away. I was the most sucessful that time and lost about 40lbs. I was only 4lbs away from my WW goal when I stopped going :o( I was also training then to run a 5k, I'm hoping to do that again this summer. From then on I slowly gained back about 15 lbs back (I'm not complaining) and decieded to start again in Jan. 09. My boyfriend is supposed to be doing it with me... but he's really not. He says he doesn't want to discourage me by losing weight much faster. Kim - omg am I ever with you with the motivation slump this week. I felt like I was buzzing right along the last couple weeks and now, all I want to do is sleep. Maybe it's because here the weather went from warm and sunny right back to cold and rainy. Maybe I'm just bored of the gym. Part of it too is that I never went grocery shopping and even tho I'm still making good choices for the most part its much harder. Plus I'm bored of all the foods I've been eating. Apparently it takes me 6 weeks to get bored of the same routine. I gotta pull myself out of it... I guess I'll go to the gym? I dont really know what to do. |
Today's Question~ When did you start your weight loss journey this time (if you have tried more than once)?
This time around it has been since early July. I started WW, but wasn't staying OP the whole time, so my weight has fluctuated alot. I ended up only losing 8 pounds in 6 months! I have lost the same amount since January when I started staying OP (for the most part). I owe my success to this site. The support and encouragement helps me. WW has helped me and I follow the WW plan, but the meeting is only once a week and I need support by the hour! Lol! |
Okay. i'm back. I'm sorry I haven't been posted...
With my sick DD and then my school starting last Monday and full time work.. I just didn't have time to come on the 3FC much. I didn't even get to work out last week that much, which made me feel gross. Well... my DD is better so I'm working out again... 30 min run yesterday and then 40 min run and 20 min taebo with weights today... and I got a new app on my new iPhone which counts calories. My biggest problem was to keep track of the calories because sometimes it was hard for me to write down what I was eating..Now between Calorie King book and LoseIt program, I have a strong faith in myself and keep telling myself that I can do it this time. :D I was way under (I do subtract my workout calories) yesterday and am little under today. I'm going for 2 lb per week... It's going well so far and will see how the weekend will play. If I pass this weekend's test, then I know I can do it! :D When did you start your weight loss journey this time (if you have tried more than once)? I started March of last year but then kind of fell off of the wagon in Sep/October. Losing weight was still on my mind and I was still eating okay and stuff but wasn't working out like I did before.. Then came back to working out well and stuff in January. So I guess we can say it's January. :D |
Tigarlily1~ Sounds like a cop-out on your BFs part. Men lose weight faster then women, so even if he loses faster, that doesn’t really mean anything because he has to lose more pounds to every 1 of your pounds loss for it to be the same thing. Does that make any sense?
Peatrix~ I know how you feel, I really feel like I need 24/7 support. Tara~ Great job getting back OP! Today’s Question~ What is your goal (mini-goal) for the month of April? Bust into the 230’s!!! I’m aiming for 235, but would really like 233 as that is my first 10%. I want to be realistic though… Sucky weather out today, but I’m going to push through and get outside so I can get started with Week 5 of C25K. |
My mini-goal right now is 216 pounds. That will mean I've lost my first 10% :D I think I can do that by the end of April... :)
|
Goal for the month of April
138 sounds like a good goal. I am happy to report that I weighed 141.8 this morning. I'll be working towards more for this week's weigh in! |
Goal for the month of April
My goal is to get into 160's. I've been in the 170's since like September of last year and am sooo ready to get out of it. I almost feel like it will never happen and I'm just not supposed to weigh less than 170's.. but i'm gonna do it! Hopefully I will reach this goal this time! |
