PeatrixPotter~ We all break down every now and then and either binge or eat food we shouldn’t. Don’t let it get you down! Habits are hard to change and we deserve an evil treat every now and then as long as it doesn’t become a daily thing. You’re doing great and are so close, just keep plugging away and you WILL get there!!!
taragettingthin~ Just think… it will probably be in even lower by the time you weigh in officially! HWGA~ If you’re really worried do some extra exercise today to burn off a few extra calories. Today’s Question~ How do you make sure to get your daily intake of fiber? Because I’m doing WW I’m very conscious of how much fiber is in everything I eat, but I still often fall short. My new habit is to try and switch my normal evil evening snacks for green veggies. I bought tons of frozen and canned green veggies last time I went shopping and often will quickly heat some up as a snack. They are super filling as well. I got up again and cranked out a Turbo Jam this morning. It really does lighten my mood. I have a feeling C25K is going to be pretty rough this afternoon, but I know I can push myself through it. Weigh in is tonight so I am hoping to see a loss of some kind. I need out of the 240s!!! I'm hoping to see a 230-something on my scale by the end of this week... |
My diet plan wants me to get in 15g of fiber a day. In the last month I am averaging more than that at about 17g per day. I looked back at my log to see how I do it.
Most mornings I eat Light and Fit Vanilla Yogurt and Granola. I used to have Kelloggs low fat granola (3g Fiber/ 190 calories) but right now I'm enjoying kashi summer berry granola (7g Fiber/ 220 calories). What else... 100 calorie popcorn has 3g of fiber, thats a good one. Weight Control Oatmeal has 6g of fiber! Most lean cuisines and smartones are pretty good on fiber too. I like to eat those but I'm trying to cut back on my salt right now. I've been averaging like 3134mg of sodium a day!!! Man, no wonder the weight comes off slow. It's so weird but since dieting and learning how your body burns energy and such I LOVE fiber and protein. It keeps you full forever! I love being full. I'll keep an eye out for other good fiber suggestions. |
Because I eat only whole foods, I don't even think about how much fiber I'm getting in. I eat a ton of whole grains, fruits and veggies, which are loaded with fiber. And since I'm on WW I naturally eat more fiber since the foods with more fiber are lower in points, so I eat more of them.
Update on my mood: I ahemmmm have flushed Monday night's binge out of me by eating OP yesterday and today and feel so much better! It will take about two more days for my stomach to flatten again. I'm looking forward to it! This was a learning experience for me as far as "red light" foods, such as cake and pizza that just put me in binge mode! Also, there are no words to express how horrible I felt yesterday, and I'm just gonna try to remember that feeling. I also wanted to say that I always read through all the posts, but there is so much to comment on. I want everyone to know that I can relate to things you have said and that I am here for you! |

I got it in the mail today and couldn't wait to try it. Wow! I feel incredibly out of shape. It's brutal for me being out of shape - and probably even so to those who are in shape. But I stuck with it and did the whole thing (even if I did have to pause a few times, or do things not quite as well as they were doing them) and I'm eager to do the next day tomorrow. |
How do you make sure to get your daily intake of fiber?
I'm like PeatrixPotter. I don't even think or count and add all the fiber when I eat as I'm trying to eat only whole foods... I haven't had white breads of any kind for I don't even know how long. Same thing when it comes to pasta. Whole grain. I try to eat at least one or two fruit. And eat some kind of veggies for every meal no matter what. I do read the nutrient label but don't really pay THAT much attention. |
Hey girls.... so I worked out today with my personal trainer... I kicked bootay!
I upped some of my weights. I also did step ups and instead of having 30 lbs I did 40 pounds! That means that I was lifting 316 pounds on this tall box. I'm so excited! I feel very empowered. I also did wall squats 2 min and 30 sec with 40 extra pounds! Hopefully the scale will be nice to me on Monday. I'm ready for these pounds to start melting!!!! |

Today's Question~ What meal do you eat the most amount of food?
I eat about the same amount of WW points for dinner as I do for both breakfast and lunch. Ouch, I know. I know that I'm supposed to try and spread out my points more equally throughout the day, but dinner is really my meal. I'll post more later, psycho day at school today!!! |
Dinner is definitely my big meal. I don't eat much for breakfast and lunch usually. Which is fine in that it's not making me ravenous at dinnertime - I don't go over my points. But I do need to eat more at breakfast and lunch so that I can actually fulfill my points. I don't want my body to get used to too low.

Dinner! I have to save a bunch of points for dinner since I am a night-time eater. I am fine eating something very light for breakfast, such as fruit, a moderate lunch, and a big satisfying dinner!

My biggest meal is dinner... I usually eat around 300 calories a meal and 100-150 for snacks but dinner is usually more like 400.

A late lunch is when i eat the most food , that way i can have a light dinner lol

Day 2 YBB update; I was incredibly sore today from yesterdays workout. Wow! It's definitely engaging muscles I don't engage at the gym. That alone makes it great for me.
I did the cardio cabaret today, and that one was more enjoyable than the last one. The first one (basics) was more yoga-y, and this one was more dance-y. So far, I think those of you who are considering it should check it out. I may not be doing it as well as they are, and I may look more ridiculous doing it as opposed to their more sexy doing it - but I know I'm getting a workout! |

jahjah1223~ Sounds like you have a good routine with balancing out your meals. Sounds like a lot of us really like large dinners. Anyone up for a bit of a challenge where we try to balance out our meals more? So tonight is parent/teacher conferences, hence the reason why I’m online right now. I admit to eating some evil food, but I don’t feel overly bad about it. Wednesday nights are normally my cheat night (following weigh-in) where I order out one or two totally sinful things that I can not imagine living my life without. I didn’t last night. So, I had a chicken burrito tonight made at an organic restaurant which was probably actually not that bad for me. It was made with a wheat tortilla, blackened chicken, cheese and black beans. My usual lasagna is probably worse for me then what I ate tonight. Because of the conferences tonight there is no school tomorrow, so I may not be on until Monday. So… Friday 3/13-Sunday 3/15 Question~ What is one non-food celebration that you pamper yourself with when you hit a weight goal? Whether it be 5% or 50 lbs., what type of stuff do you do for yourself? I have struggled a lot with illnesses over the last few months and am glad to say that it looks like I may finally be back on track. At my first 10% I plan on buying myself a new pair of shoes. At my 2nd 10%, a new pair of pants, and when I break into Onederland, a brand new outfit. I have not yet made goals past those weights other than treating myself to a weekend get-away when I hit my big goal (my parents have also thrown in a little incentive by offering to help me pay for the get-away of my choice, in the states that is, once I hit goal). BTW~ I lost 1 lb. this week. Not as much as I was hoping, but I have to remind myself that I was not very good last weekend. If I could get a grip over the weekends, I think I would start seeing some bigger numbers. Also, I’m getting a gym membership tomorrow as I start coaching next week and won’t have the chance to use the school gym anymore before they lock it up. I’ve done really well with C25K and really want to keep going with it! Kick butt this weekend everyone!!! Go TEAM GRAPE!!! |

I just got done doing 15 miles today on my exercise bike. I'm only at 1800 cals for the day... I have to get to 2300 today. Looks like I may have me a glass of choc milk! :) |
