My positive thing for the day: I devised a clever way to get rid of a GIANT package of hot chocolate mix that my mom sent. Yep, she sent me a care package (I'm in college) and didn't forget to include a "Super Family Size" container of Swiss Miss--with marshmallows, of course! She knows that I'm trying to lose weight, and has been trying to sabotage me all along the way, but I'm going to attribute this one to ignorance rather than malice, heh. I'm sure she doesn't realize that there are 150 cals (eek!) in one serving (1 cup!) of that stuff. So as soon as she sent it, I knew that I needed to get rid of it
somehow, but I cannot justify throwing away perfectly good food items, so I thought it would be a challenge to get rid of it, or that I would just have to hang onto it until it spoiled (in like 2 years LOL). But instead, I have donated it to be served at the "study break" in my dorm tonight! A few times a week, there's an informal gathering of all of the residents, with the idea that we can take a break from studying and chill for a bit, and the RH/RAs usually set out snacks and such... So I just told my RA that I wanted to volunteer my cocoa mix, and there ya go! I'm happy that someone else actually will be able to use it... And I get brownie pts with my RA, too! Woohoo! (Mmm, brownies... Hehe!)
