lemonthyme keep fighting. You can do this. Every time you are tempted just close you eyes and envision the number 239 on your scale.
I bet you are going to be sore/stiff from all that weeding.

FatDoesn'tDefinsMe our daughter with autism had a difficult day so we did not go for the movie or ice cream. We had a nice family day with extra guests which we all enjoyed.

I did well today. Hopefully the scale will move down for all of us tomorrow to encourage us throughout the day.

Well, my corn caught up to me today - I am back at 242.8, however I also haven't had to sit on the throne the last day, if you will, so I am not too worried. Funny how the body works and slows down depending on what you eat and when you eat it. My water intake is up as well, so between the two, that might be more my issue.

I got up extra early for a sunday and went and moved. I upped my time to 16 mins and tried to do 6-8 bursts of as fast as I can with a higher level. Not sure if this would qualify for HIIT, but I tried my darndest in that time frame. Who knows what it will all do, I moved.

Coffee is on, it's still dark and really cool out. I have lots to do today including hopefully getting to the pool. My DH and kids went last night, I was a bit sore from weeding and just wanted to sit still.

Yard looks better! WOOT.

Ok, well, I might not hit my goal of 239 tomorrow, but I will keep trying to get there.

I was looking at before after images of 100 lb losses this morning. I have taken photos in the past and need to again. My husband thinks I am nuts. As I do all angles including sometimes in the undergarments only. Hey, nothing motivates you quicker then seeing your lumpy fanny in undies from the rear viewpoint. So I will have to do new ones. But today, though up a lb, I feel thinner than I did three weeks ago. And I guess that's what it's all about is feeling better about yourself.

Happy Sunday all - get that weight moving on off! YOU CAN DO IT!

My weight ticked back up to 241.8. No reason for it to have but no worries the scale is a fickle thing.

lemonthyme at least you have a fanny. If I could take my belly and slap it on my backside I would call it goal! I had before pictures once but my daughter deleted them because she didn't think I would take any off. That same daughter told me yesterday that now I look normal for a woman my age. I'm going to take it as a compliment.

Stay strong we are almost through the weekend and can get our routine back tomorrow.

Ubee: YEAH FOR YOU! I didn't get there, still 2.6 to go. But thanks for saying you'll pop in here yet . I see my endo today maybe she'll have some insight. In regards to the above I'll send some of my fanny and my belly as I've been blessed w/ both! However said belly is not as prominent and rear view I haven't looked at in a few months. In my head; the last time I viewed that photo, I said wide load! HEY - update your side ticker with your new accomplishment - you earned it!

Hello all!

May your scales look great! I'm just glad to come back down. I tried to eat better at the ILS. Always a bit of a challenge but they are using all things garden, so that can be a help if they keep them raw. My SIL got into deep frying veg last summer so my ILS are still doing that (I prefer raw and normal) and I will state I had one fresh from the garden onion made into a deep fried beer battered ring. Just one, I took Karen's and ubees advice and stopped at one. Sure I probably could have had 6. But one was enough and no soda! The fresh tomatoes is where it was at though! Too bad both houses tomato plots look over watered and not overly productive because I sure enjoy fresh ones vs store ones. So an ok time keeping to plan with my meal out.

So 2.6 lbs to that elusive and mythical 239 number. Oh sure I've been there often but I never stay there as my body of late has liked the 252 window much more. Or maybe I was comfort eating a bit more then I probably should have, but I'm working downward. Cheer me forward please!

May you all have a really nice start to your day. It's been raining here - light enough not to cause concern for flooding. I do hope my appt goes well and my numbers were better I suppose I can go look as it's all online anyway so I know what to discuss.

Enjoy your days start!

Happy Monday all!!

Ubee!! I knew you could do it!! I'll see you in the 230 thread too!!

As for me, I was offline all weekend. My vertigo was not getting better. I saw the doctor on Thursday and my husband had some of the meds he prescribed already so I started taking his stash. Unfortunately, they were way out of date and I didn't do anything about it until Sunday when I was in the depths of depression because it had been 5 days and I was still feeling the same. He went out to fill my prescription and brought back the more up-to-date version of the meds and by the time I went to bed I was already starting to feel better. I still haven't exercised since last Tuesday and that added to my depression I think.

I also had a moment of self-reflection during the depression where I made the choice for this coming week to not eat my Medifast foods. This week marks eight months of being on Medifast and I have lost the taste for most of the foods. I'm also travelling this week for work and so I thought I would approach this week with an eye on tracking my food, staying within my calories, and balancing my macro-nutrients. If I lose, great, I'd be happy to not gain as I wander into non-Medifast way of eating. I need this break and hopefully when I come back from travelling, I'll have a renewed approach to the foods that have become so blase to me.

This morning was the first time in months I had to plan out my entire day and make sure I was balanced. We'll see how it works out because I will not be eating every 2-3 hours like I've been used to. I'm hoping that more calorically dense meals will stay longer with me and that I will be able to listen to my body and eat when hungry. Fingers crossed!!

Back from appt, doctor running seriously behind time! But all is good I'm just to continue working on my weight and see her in a year again. All levels are wonderful so that's good.

Guess I'm doing what I'm suppose to.

Great news from the Dr. lemonthyme! I'm sorry but I have to say this but what a shame that they deep fry all that good fresh produce. We have been lightly grilling them or eating them raw. My neighbor just told me that she roasts hers with EVOO, balsamic vinegar and then at the last minute she sprinkles them with Parmesan. I will try it on Wednesday and give an update.

Laura I was getting worried about you. I am a chronic worry wart. Glad the medicine is helping. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your new food adventure. 8 months shows a lot of dedication and commitment.
Will you be able to check in while traveling?

Kim has TOM gone on his merry way yet?

FatDoesn'tDefineMe how are you doing?

Ubee: not my normal way of eating veggies I like them raw and or right off the vine. But every once in a blue moon a fatty one is good. But I stopped at one so I find that a big accomplishment!

Laura: how horrible. I had a day a week ago where I got dizzy every time I stood up. I can't imagine a week of feeling crazy like that. I do hope the meds help lots.

Am: oh have I had a thing for cheese today. I'm keeping it in calorie but isn't it funny when it's only one item you feel you need? I kept to string cheese it is my go to for a protein match up w carbs.

My NSV today: the shorts I wear are a 20w. Right now at the waist I can pinch off almost 2.5". I should put darts in them so that I quit twisting and yanking them up. There's room in the hips too just not the same. So it leads me to my QOD:

QOD: how are you supplementing your clothing with your ongoing loss? Do you buy new, raid storage, hit the goodwill?

I didn't save a lot of smaller, just jeans and those were 16 regulars. But that was before I had my kids. Most everything else is gone as when I wasn't keeping the weight off I donated the smaller stuff. Ugh! So I'm making do currently with what I have and altering if I can. In fact a skirt I made a month ago slides down my waist. I guess that is a good problem to have.

Off to finish my green tea and get my salad on out as the rest of the family will be having pancakes for dinner. I can stick to my vegetables.

Good luck tomorrow! Oh I do hope for myself I'm closer to 239 then 242.

lemonthyme cheese? We have some of the best cheese. It is a major food group in our house.

As to your QOD People give me clothes all the time. They know if I won't use it I will pass it on either to someone else or to our packed to the rafters thrift store. I also love rummage sales.

Salad done. My kids are driving me nuts so I'm in a different room trying not to partake in the whine. My youngest is balking at the French toast dad made him. He wants pancakes.

Ubee: cheese! I go to woodmans always to stock up but it never lasts long as I swear my DH has a perpetual feed from the fridge. Of late I tend to do mainly string cheese due to the calorie factor. Oh but we have some nice ones of all types don't we?!

I went to goodwill today but it seems that the 18s are over picked and I hope not to be in the 18s for a long time short and pant wise. I see ladies asking if at what size corresponds with weight. Sadly when I was 150 I was still a 12. I read some of these ladies are a 4/6 or 8 at that weight. I have never been. I got to girls 14 and I swear over the summer I went right into a 11/12. And I'd like to be getting shorts for the winter trip now but no dice unless I wanted well worn.

Ok I best to deal with the avoidance.

My scale is stuck at 241.6. Got to love it when it doesn't move. So instead I went and moved for my whole 16 mins. I watch these people that have always moved and keep weight off and wonder why I wasn't programmed to find enjoyment in exercise. I never have. It was and is something I know I need to do. At the same time my sister states she does it for the endorphins. Nope - I can't say I've ever had a rush after exercise.

So I will try and eat to my calories and hope the scale moves a bit tomorrow. I need to find how to mix up my fresh veggies. I currently have a lot of zukes to use up before we go on a long weekend trip.

So happy day to you all. I'll keep trying to get all this down to 239. May your scales look good.

Morning all!

Slowly starting to feel better. Second day of relying on my own wits to ensure I'm eating balanced. I am happy to note that I lost .6 overnight. I leave for my work trip on Thursday, so I have to stop myself from buying things until I come back. I'm actually looking forward to exploring more food options when I travel.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Onward and downward!
