What a quiet thread! Hope everyone is getting better!

Went to Body Pump today, good workout. I'm trying to stay reasonable with food choices too. So far, doing pretty good.

I'm not a huge fan of the holidays. I like Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but the build up and all the stuff that goes along with it just isn't my thing. I am kind of looking forward to January. I'm ready to get back to hitting it hard and being super disciplined again. It doesn't make sense for this month and I know it would be frustrating to try, but I also feel like I'm on hold. And, I am. Oh well! There are bigger problems in the world.

Skinnygirl: Congrats on the work pants NSV!

Mandy: I think you have a good plan, hoping for the 269, but being ok with just being under 275. That's kind of what I feel with my weight. I'd like to be under 225, but realistically, if I could keep under 230, it would be good. I went back up to 230, so I'd like to see that come off. Oh, and I'll bet you can hardly wait for your elliptical to show up!!!! Yay!

So quiet in here lol! Great work on the NSV skinnygirl they are the best, I must do a bit of a try on at the weekend. It seems to take ages to go down a size when you are big though!

Geez I'm so hungry this week, being a woman has got alot to answer for! TOM is just round the corner - well, as long as its not 2 weeks late again! Not hopeful this week on the scales, I've lost 10 pounds in the last 3 weeks so due a week where I stall, I'm not going to talk myself into it though and will stay on plan as best I can.

I hope you've managed to get your Christmas tree Mandy!

Skinnygirl - Pay attention to that! I didn't and continued to wear the pants that were getting bigger and bigger on me, until one day I went running up the stairs and my pants hit my knees before I hit the top of the steps! It was pretty funny, and luckily I was at home. Hubby thought it was hilarious. I've since retired all pants in that size.

Okay y'all... I think I'm getting to the point of being just about over this mess. I'm still coughing, but really only when I'm laying down to sleep (which means I have not much energy from not sleeping) and I've found that I can breathe through my nose again most of the time. So, still some congestion, still some coughing, and still tired... but feeling a lot better. YAY for that!

Gonna go out and get a Christmas tree here soon, and I feel like a little kid! I've not had my own Christmas tree as an adult before. Never had the room for one! So glad hubby got paid this weekend

Hoping my voice stops being so weird by tomorrow night... There's caroling happening, and I love caroling!

In other news... I got a variety pack of Quest bars. If they are good, I might make them my normal "breakfast" food (you know, that food I eat around 2pm because I'm finally feeling hungry?) since they are in the 150-200 calorie range, and full of protein (20g) and fiber (17g) and fairly low carb.... They'll probably do better for me than the fiber bar I currently use. They are a bit spendy, which is why I got a 12 flavor variety pack. Need to find the kinds I like before I go spend money on a flavor I'm unsure of.

And speaking of eating... I just consumed an entire pulled pork sandwich like there was nothing to it. It was glorious. The first real food I've had in DAYS. On the mend. FINALLY!

Mandy...where did you find the quest bars? I have heard a lot about them through the carb cycling sites, but haven't come across them yet!

Hey Ladies! I'm hoping everyone gets over their icky bugs quickly.

thanks everyone for the congrats. I weighed myself and am down only .2, but I won't complain at all due the fact that I ate thanksgiving dinner 2 days, and that it is also my TOM. So I'll weigh again in a couple of days.

I'm looking forward to Christmas Eve myself my family always has a traditional Lithuanian dinner. Mmmmmmm. Soooo fattening though! lol. Everything is fried lol or has bacon.

Jenni - I ordered them on Amazon. and it was like, $30 for a dozen! Spendy spendy. (Edit to add, this is the pack I got, and it got here quickly: http://www.amazon.com/Quest-Nutritio.../dp/B009NVR3J8)

Skinny - I've never had Lithuanian food. But fried and bacony sounds right up my alley

Basically it is fish (we do shore fried perch), perogi (potato dumpling of sorts), and kuglais(fried potato in bacon grease) lol.

Good morning! Just doing a quick check-in. I have been MIA because of serious life craziness. My kids are going to be here on 12/9, and we wanted to finish the basement before they got here. And I am so grateful for the functional fitness I am getting from the gym on days like that. I was running up and down stairs, slinging around 77-pound sheets of sheet rock like they were nothing, and just generally being a badass. Actually, quick story. I was tasked with recruiting a couple of people to help carry sheet rock from our garage to our basement. I asked 2 20yo women to help. They each weigh about 120-130 pounds. My husband was skeptical. He told me I forget sometimes that I am such a hulk. Not sure if he meant it as a compliment, but I took it as such. =) But really? He thinks that a healthy, young, adult woman can't carry 40 pounds? They came. They blew him away. Yay for strong women!

I did weigh. I was 199 yesterday. I haven't crossed back over out of Onederland, but it is time for me to get back on it. We have hired out the mudding and the taping of the drywall, so we will just have to paint on Sunday. And I have a job interview today! A job I REALLY want that will be more money, better benefits, more time off, and better hours.

Have a great day, everyone!

LaurieDawn sounds like you've been busy! My husband and I are starting to do upgrades in our townhouse as well. We just purchased pergo flooring to replace the carpet on the stairs, upstairs hallway, and office. So I'm sure we will be quite busy doing that very shortly!
Good luck with the job interview!!!
Today is a busy day for me. I have class from 11-1230, and then again from 2-430. (I'm packing a lunch to avoid buying unhealthy) and then this evening I am taking a knitting class. (I'm 32) but I love crocheting so wanted to give knitting a whirl. So far I like it but its a slower process than crochet.
Its a busy week for me because I then work tomorrow and friday. I work 12 hour shifts. blah lol but I like only having 3 days of work a week. haha

Laurie!!! You are tough!!!!! My husband is building a studio in the garage. And I want to rip the carpets out and make it all hardwood downstairs....I am scared....but I think it will be so worth it in the end! Great job and good luck on the interview!

Skinny...you sound busy too! Hope you get all that done in time!

Still feeling yucky but taking advantage of sleeping when I can. 213 second day in a row! Hope it doesn't last 3 weeks LOL

Here's one to file under "There's not an asylum big enough for my family."

My grandfather called today and chatted with me a bit. And then told me I looked good on Thanksgiving (when he saw me last), and asked if I was still losing weight? I told him "I'm trying to, but the holidays make it tough"... and then he asked me if I was taking anything, or doing it naturally... because it was happening so fast, and he was concerned.

Uhh...

I told him I've done everything naturally and I still love to eat and he needs to not worry. Then he went on to give me weight loss advice before getting off the phone.

WTF.

Weirdo.

Aahhh families - mines amping up the crazy coming up to Christmas.

My mother is the opposite she always thinks I should be loosing more per week - I don't think she cares how I do it - loopy. Speaking of loopy, my husband is eating tomatoes on toast, I threw a hissy fit about cooking tea, thats what TOM has got to answer for ... oh and the day with my mum ... and my 4 year old is constipated so a delight. All I want to do is bury my face in a bowl of ice cream

Holidays and family... i dont know what it is about this time of year lol.

I'm just chugging along. My goal for the day is to drink at least 8 cups of water. When I work it is hard to drink a ton because we aren't suppose to keep drinks at the Nurse Station.
I stayed under my calories yesterday, but only logged 7,774 steps. Today I am going to try and break 10,000. we shall see!
My mother in law is going to be coming over to my house tomorrow and help my Hubby start ripping up all the carpet. EXCITING... but a little nervous. I'm hoping this project wont take too long but it is a lot of work!
