Haven't been here for awhile!! So many have left! I weighed in at 252.8 today. Punk, you FLEW through this thread! That's wonderful! Hopefully I will be there with you and everyone else next month....or earlier if I'm lucky!

Well, thank you so much everyone, but I'm not holding my breath - a five pound drop in a week seems a little too good to be true, but I was a perfect little angel all week. Part of it is this awful heat...I have to choke my meals down and the thought of anything extra makes me want to barf to be blunt. I changed my weigh in day to Friday and I'm not putting anything down until next Friday so I'm going to hang out here - that and the 240's thread seems kind of dead.

Even though my doctor said everything looks good I'm a little concerned that I've lost this much weight this quickly...maybe I was just more gluttonous than I thought I was. 60+ lbs. in 14 weeks seems like kind of a lot.

Honestly, I was more excited that I squeezed my big butt into a size 18 jeans today and I could breath a little.

Erin - I was wondering this morning where you went to - yay for you...we are going to rock the 240's - and hopefully quickly since it's only a 10 pound thread.

pnkrckpixikat - "Only Believe Just keep at it and I'm sure itll feel like no time when you are seeing 255 or 240s, time passes no matter what right? If you can stick on plan the numbers will slide on down along with time" - I second this!

Sue - Glad the scale is going down! Your patience has been rewarded!

Ainslie - Great job on 260! You're half-way through this thread!

Erin... It is sooooo good to see you again and you are still so close to the 240's.. well I hope that that thread is in your near future!

Punk - wow 60 lbs in 14 weeks.. That is a dream of awesomeness and if your doctor says you are okay... TAKE IT AND RUN! I wish my metabolism would make that happen again! LOL Woo Hoo!

I lost another 1/2 YEAH... so down almost 3 for the month.. sigh.. Well I need to lose another 3 to get my 6 off for the month and better yet I just need 1.6 lbs to get to the 240's OH YES I WILL! This week,,, Yes yes yes yes yes yes!!!!! Need to shake up that 240's thread... It does seem lonely..

Erin welcome back! it looks like you may be one to depart fairly quickly as well! If the 240's thread is dead now it looks like it might resurrect soon enough, plenty of y'all are right on the ledge!

punk I'm sure you are fine, just enjoy it while it last because the closer you get to normal weight the more stubborn the loss gets and the slower it goes. If it has been super hot some might be water weight that you sweated off so make sure to drink LOTS of water so you don't get dehydrated. If you drink lots of water than it may just be partly from the caloric boost from your body spending more energy trying to regulate itself. It could also be from fat cells that filled with water after ditching fat, so with the heat that water was needed for sweat so you saw a loss that had really happened previously and been hidden. Either way, WAY TO GO!

Sue whatever you did to break your sticking point seems to have worked!

As for my speedy losses, I was 249 on July 1st, I was pretty awful the first half of the month, my first day back I was 262. I doubt I was anywhere near THAT bad, I think I may still be flushing water out. It'll surely slow down soon, I'll enjoy the numbers going down in the meantime. Today another pound bites the dust! 253.8, the 240's better get ready for me if this continues :D

Sue - you are so close - you can almost taste the 240's!

pnkrck - I don't know if the 240's will be able to handle this much awesomeness! I didn't do great the week of the 4th, but we're both back on track now.

I know I should be happy - I'm just one of those prepare for the worst and hope for the best kind of people. It may not seem like it so much on here, but I'm a fairly skeptical and pessimistic person in general - at least when it comes to my own life...but when I walked into Walgreens to pick up my prescription and looked up at the back mirror I thought I looked kind of hot...at least better than the last time I dared look up into the mirror of doom when I was at my heaviest.

PunkRock... That is such an NSV.... Catching yourself in another persons mirror and being impressed with your changes OH YEAH BABY! A Great Thing!!

I am down another 1/2 :D to 251..... Almost gotten to the finish line... I am at the 25 yard mark! LOLOL

LOL...we are all so close! It's really kind of a tremendous feeling!

I'm going to find out to today if I'm diabetic...I've done everything I can over the past 3+ months to get my blood sugar down, but I don't know if I've done too little too late. If I am, I deserve it - not to be down on myself, but my Mom is, her Mom was, her grandmother was, and I knew what I was in for if I didn't take care of myself and I pushed it to the back of my mind, carrying the invincibility of 20's into my 30's. I had already started losing weight when I got my first blood work done, so the potential of being diabetic hasn't been my main focus, but after having my second blood work done on Friday, I am freaking out a little now.

Aww Punk I'll cross my fingers for you. But even if you are I have heard of weight loss and diet fixing diabetes in some cases, maybe as you lose more this'll happen?

Mara - looks like she may be holding it open for a number of people, hopefully it isn't too heavy lol

Today the scale reads in at 253.0, looks like the woosh of week 1 is slowing... hopefully it carries me through to the 240s instead of just dumping me on the doorstep. Today I am going to the gym for cardio and strength and might go swimming with DH this evening. We've learned that if we go at 6 or 7 the water is SOOOOOO warm from being exposed to the sun all day, it feels so good :)

punkrocksong- I'm glad you had a good experience with the mirror at Walgreens. I rarely go in there but when I do I cringe because of the mirrors. I haven't been there since losing a few pounds. Maybe next time will be a more positive experience.


266.2 no weight change from yesterday's weigh in. I'm still happy because that means I held on to a pound loss. If I don't blow it today I should see a drop in the numbers in the morning.

I'm back after backsliding for many months and gaining back a lot of weight. It took a weight loss challenge at work to get my butt back in gear. We started on June 14th and I've already lost 20 pounds and I'm nearly back to where I was at my lowest last year. I thought I would rejoin this thread and hopefully I will actually make it to the 240's this time around. Weighed in at 262 this morning.

I was hoping to be a little closer to the 240's but very close. This week down 1.3 pounds to 251.3. Hopefully next week.
