Hello all..... Well.. I finally got my head on straight! I am back down to 258... Still away off from my 255.5 last week... but I understand what I did to myself and understand just gotta lose it again... and I AM READY!! I want to be in the 240's in July earlier the better! That was my midyear goal and gonna make it happen!

I was aiming for 240's in July as well. Sorry you are feeling pressured punkrocksong. :( Hopefully they will remain supportive no matter if you lose or not. |

Hello all. So happy to see the scale continuing to decline for some of you. I'm definitely not weighing in until Friday. Went out of town to visit my husband's family and I can literally see how my ankles have swollen from all of the travel. Not to mention I didn't eat on plan very much but I did eat within my calories allotted for the day. Just mostly bad foods :( Oh well. Lesson learned. I'm hoping a lot of water will help flush all of that salt out. DH and I both agree that we feel yuck after several days of junky eating and are ready to fill back up on healthy options. Thank you garden!

No new news to report. I am pretty much staying the same. More car stress so that didn't help. I did gain even a few more pounds. I have lost THOSE pounds and REALLY want to get back to former 249. The moral has to be that this is going to be a lifelong battle. No matter how much we lose, things will happen and it can trigger eating too much. I do feel proud of myself admitting these food issues and not just posting all good news. No more one sided posting! :) wannaskipandlaugh-Sorry you were struggling too and I am glad that you have turned it around! Our new mantra can be 240's by (sometime) in July! :) Nagazim-congrats on the shrinking! :D always a great thing! joefla70-glad to see the scale is really dropping for you! that evening walking is a good idea. I have been trying to avoid eating at night too. I eat a decent dinner and try to lay off the night time snacking. If I feel a little bit of hunger I try to just go to sleep and tell myself the little hunger is a good thing and the weight is going down! :) Going2BeThatGirl-good job on all that exercise. The veggie week sounds like a good idea. Have you ever seen the calories on bagged salads? almost nothing. I should eat more salads (and that is saying something since I am a vegetarian). So I did my weigh in Sunday morning and I don't know what I was so nervous about...261.4! I had set a goal of 250 by my birthday in August and I think I just might make it!

I am still trying to get back down to that 50 lb off mark 2 lbs above it.. YUCKY! I am thinking of taking 1 day with very little sodium... maybe that might break the water hold! Walking and sweating surely doesn't do it for me! |
I think that's part of my problem...I eat way too much salt. Giving up processed foods doesn't do a whole lot when I still seem to dump it on everything. I use pepper, spices, and Mrs. Dash when possible...but I just love salt on melons.
It seems like a lot of people are in a stahl or have gained a little recently. I wonder if it's just because it's summer and people are busier? It sounds a little weird...but I was actually doing better when it was colder than I have been lately. |
@Punkrock. Yeah, I've been holding at between 252 and 254 the past week. But lately that has been how its been going for me. I'll be in a stall for a week or two...or three, and then I'll really make an extra effort and then lose 4-5 pounds in a week. For the most part I've been very good about eating, but I have eaten fattier proteins the last few days, and I wasn't able to do my nightly walk for a few days. But I walked last night and will continue to do so. That seems to make a big difference for me. Not only do I burn the calories by walking, but by getting out of the house for 1 1/2 hours in the late evening, I remove myself from the temptation to do late night snacking. So, I wind up killing two birds with one stone. Hopefully, getting back on track with my walking will get me in the 240s by my next weigh-in (Sunday). But if not, no big deal. I'm so happy being so close to my goal that I really don't mind if the weight loss goes slowly now... as long as it goes. As long as it doesn't go up, I'll be happy!

Maybe it's the heat...our bodies do no want to let go of the water. lol

I'd like to join your thread. I am fairly new to 3fc. I actually joined a year ago and started a blog. I had a major setback and only gotten onto the clean eating bandwagon again. I restarted may 28th by eating clean and also joined planet fitness and exercise 5 days a week including cardio and weight training. My goal is to get healthy and feel good about my self again. My 2 daughters and I have booked a cruise in may and love to be at my goal then but not sure if I will quite make it but going to do the best I can. I will post my weight on Tuesdays.
