Smallsteps - sometimes I feel like my work environment is temptation after temptation...hold strong!

Tiff - Hang in there...keep pushing through. That scale will cooperate eventually if you just keep putting in good days. It's so frustrating when your body does not cooperate. Hugs

Luceia - CONGRATS! We will see you in the new thread soon

June -Its tough to know when to take a rest. I think letting yourself heal over the rest of the week sounds wise.

Luceia- YAHOO!!!! So happy for you. See ya there, SOON!

Tiff - Ohh, meds can be really frustrating when they change what you expect from your body. Hang in there.

Popped on the scale this morning and 250.1 showed. I'm not counting it until my "official" weigh in on Friday, but it looks like what I did over the week may have not been as horrible as I thought. Its hard to keep on plan and not get overly tied up in the daily to and fro of the scale.

Also, I think tomorrow is my 20th day here, which means I get a signature - I'm kinda jazzed about it!

I was off plan for 2 weeks and I'm back up to 253.3. Gotta keep at it this time.

Thanks Junebug and Sarah
@Sarah congrats on the loss, and woohoo for the ticker!!
I hope y'all are having a great week!
I am making Red coconut curry tomorrow with loads of veggies.
Have y'all tried the Miracle Noodles? They have 0 calories and make a "rice" version. The water they're package in reeks of fish but once you rinse them you can't even tell!

KatyDid- I went off plan last week when my mom was here and its was my son's birthday. I was soo happy that popping back on plan and most of the weight just came right back off. I'm hoping you can get the exact same results!

Tiff- I have NOT tried them! I was watching QVC last night (I love having on in the background while I clean - I'm a weirdo!) and they had NoOdles (?) on there. Sounds like the same thing. No calories?! Where did you buy these Miracle Noodles? Do you know what they're made out of?

@sarah- I think the Noodles are the same as the Miracle noodles. I bought the Miracle noodles at Whole foods, they are slightly pricey but it is a great trade off. About $2.75 for 2 servings worth of noodles. They are made of soluble fiber! NoOodle is made of shiratake, and miraclenoodle is made of shiratake as well
@junebug-the curry is awesome, I actually decided to make it tomorrow instead. We have a Hong Kong Market here which I am in love with and it is where I buy my "seaweed snacks", fresh veggies, curry sauces, etc

Hi girls. I'm jumping right on in here. Weighed in at 260 this morning so hoping to be in the 250's soon.

Has anyone tried those noodles? It sounds to good to be true or tasty to me.

I have used them twice now. The water is very stinky when you drain them (they are packed in water that smells like the sea or fish or something lol)... Once you rinse them off and cover them in sauce you can't taste anything but the sauce. They have a different texture than normal pasta but I really enjoyed it

Welcome Ashley!! I see you've got twin 1yr olds. I've got a little guy who just turned 1 and a 3yr old. Glad to see another BUSY mom here

Tiff - I'm inspire to give them a try. We make a lot of thai/asian inspire meals. I cook with fish sauce often so I doubt the extreme sea/fishiness would turn me off of the noodles. Im going to see if I can find them around here.

Bah. Bad weigh in this AM. Went up from yesterday. I'm really taking a moment here to analyze what I've been doing. Over three weeks, I've lost 2.8lbs. I really, really think I can do a lot better than that. I worked out on my home elliptical ONCE in those three weeks and went off plan on my eating more often then I was on plan. Now, sure, there were distractions - my mom flew up here and stayed with us a week which included most meals out at restaurants. And then there was the birthday party. But life is always going to be happening and I've GOT learn to make time for exercise and eat on plan regardless of what is going on. What has me nervous is that May is a crazy month too: I'm hosting 3 social events (brunch, tapas and drinks and a sushi night), my anniversary, my husband's birthday, my other son's birthday, and our friends from Denver and flying in to stay with us for a week. I LOVE this month because off of its funness - but I can not use this as an excuse to overeat and not exercise. Can. Not. Sooo.. this may, I will LOG everything BEFORE I eat it and will be getting up early at 5am to exercise every day. It'll be hard but I need to prove to myself that even with "life" going on, I can still make ***this*** a priority.

Ashley - Glad you joined us

Tiff - I'll have to check out our local market for those ingredients...I'm always looking for new recipes to spice things up (literally haha).

Sarah - I'm sorry for the rough morning. I went through a crazy few weeks recently and I've had to learn that it's okay to slow things down for a bit IF, and only IF, I maintain. Then, when things are quiet I have found that I REALLY appreciate that and am very motivated to get in that hard work when life allows. Hey, you've managed to still LOSE! Congrats on that! I think the most important thing for me along this journey to learn how to still live life while still moving forward. I admire your ability to scope out future obstacles and come up with a plan May is going to be great...I can just feel it

I'm still at around 250 - 251. TOM is messing with me but I'm still not able to work out either because of my hip. It's frustrating but I have been OP with food 100% and know that my hip with heal soon. Happy Friday!

@Sarah- I totally feel your pain! I always use occasions as a reason to eat or go off plan. When really we don't need those bad foods! You sound like a fun chic, are you always the party planner? Of so I would start making healthy stuff! I cook for my family and I am working on transitioning to healthy foods. I have a 2coot year old son who likes junk a bit too much already... I didn't want him eating it but family introduced it and he is somewhat of a picky eater now! Anyway, your month of may sounds super fun I think the weight gain that you've had could be water but regardless just jump right back on!

Junebuv:I love Asian/vietnemese/Japanese/Chinese/Thai foods... sometimes I wonder if I was supposed to be born Asian lol. But I also enjoy Greek, Spanish/Mexican/Tex Mexico, and Italian. Maybe my problem is liking all foods-hehe. I got some miso paste and wakame seaweed (dried) and a block of silken tofu to make my own miso soup-totally worth it! I will post the recipe I use for you later.
