As of this morning, two weeks after starting on my plan to get healthy, I am under 250 (247.8 to be exact). At first I thought I was at a starting point of 256 pounds (that was the last weight I knew of, hadn't gotten on a scale in a while), but when I officially weighed in on the first day I started, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I actually was at 252.
The last time I was under 250 pounds was two years ago, after an operation to remove a cyst, followed by major complications for which I was hospitalized for more than a week, where my weight actually dropped to around 227 pounds. I had gained everything back and then some, so it feels good to see that the scale is now going in the opposite direction.
Hi everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the weekend!
I'm back up to 253.3 after being at 252. I feel like I've been working on this pesky pound for awhile, going up and down it! I hope this week to be get to 251 at least, haha.
So this morning I was prepared to post and ask for tips about breaking through plateaus after being stuck at 256 for the past 3 weeks. It was really starting to get me down. I hopped on the scale this morning and it said 254! I stepped on and off about 3 times because I couldn't believe my eyes...240's watch out! I'm headed your way Yay!

That IS a pleasant surprise.

YAY!!!
251.7 this morning. Bah. That is up a touch. Boo. My mom is here visiting and I ate horribly last night. I vow to stay on plan for the rest of her visit. Friday is my son's birthday, and I'll have cake, but its going to fit in my calorie allotment! I'll be sure to exercise a little longer that day too. I'm ready to see those 240s!
Sarah - Sending you lots of good luck and with the cake tomorrow. I'm faced with cupcakes today at work as well. Oh joy
Tiff - You are so close! You will be in the 240's in no time!
Today I'm officially 40 pounds down and for some reason it all the sudden feels "real." Yesterday was the first time that someone at work has commented and told me that I looked like I had lost weight (I was wondering how long that would take!) Up until now, I would record a new lower weight but just had a feeling that it was a fluke and that it must be water weight or something. These mini-victories sure help along the way What a journey! Have a great OP day everyone!
