I would like to lose 10 pounds in October. I've lost 7 in the past ten days, but I know that's because of water loss and the fact that I made such drastic diet changes so quickly. Although I'd love to lose weight fast, I know slow weight loss is better for me. So, here's to a great October!

I appreciate the re-post of the quote: "I'm not where I want to be, but I am definitely not where I used to be"
This month -- my mantra I will have a program. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. It will eliminate two pests -- hurry and indecision.-FA
I have to get back to preparing meals on a regular basis. I have come up with so many things to explain my involuntary maintenance phase -- but in reality I'm really not doing what I did at the beginning! I talked to my "sponsor" or cousin and she simply said -- pack your food and force yourself to eat it to get back on track and that's what I plan on doing! She has lost over 100 lbs, so I trust her words of wisdom -- however, harsh they may be -- she is my motivation and I am proud of her EVERY SINGLE DAY
What I would do...ooohhh what I would do for another blinking light in my signature!!!!
Good Morning, Everyone! Enjoy your weekend! I just went outside to get the newspaper. It feels like we are having some fantastic Fall temperatures this weekend here. It's nice and cool and no humidity!
I was reading some posts about perimenopause/menopause at a fitness forum where I am a member. The insomnia and night sweats sound like some of the symptoms they are posting about with menopause. I think this is what I have going on. I did a little reading yesterday about some products to take to help alleviate some of these symptoms. I have to watch what I take because of me watching peanut/legume/nuts/soy, etc. I decided to try a homeopathic product. I have used products in this line before and they have helped me. I bought the Hyland's Menopause product. Last night I didn't wake up hot! Maybe it a coincidence. Also, I wasn't freezing when I went to bed. I woke up at my normal (internal clock) time and got 7 hours of sleep. I wish I had went to bed earlier. I am going to try to get to bed earlier tonight. If this product seems to work, I think I will start taking it the week before I expect TTOM. That's when my symptoms begin. This is what I bought: http://www.vitacost.com/Hylands-Meno...ProductReviews

So, hi everyone! Sorry to be away without a word. It's been a crazy couple of days. Work was super super busy and I had a terrible time getting home on Thursday (didn't make it until 7:45 pm and had left the office at 5:00 and once I got home I got the news that the mother of one of my best friends had passed away, so since then I've been involved in some of the activities for that too. The funeral is this morning, and then I have to go to the office this afternoon, but I had to stop in here to let you know I'm still alive! I miss you guys
September is a gain for me...TOM is still hanging in there and I ended the month 6 oz higher than I ended August. During the month I gained and lost 7lbs and touched down in ONEderland, so there was definitely movement. I'm going to aim for 6lbs in October, which will be a challenge since next weekend is our Thanksgiving and also my birthday.
I am at 202.2 today and plan to stick to my plan like glue for the rest of the weekend and onwards.
Thanks for noticing I was gone I'll be sure to check in and catch up a bit tonight when things settle down a little bit.
HayAngie wondered where you were sorry about your friend's Mother
Great job on the pound Diana hope it helps you
LCW,you'll get back in your routine keep on fighting to get there.
All New Daily Weighers
This Month,I'm going to work on my obsession w/having to jog/walk before i WI (waiting to eat breakfast ) which will effect me posting and doing a Weigh In everyday.long time ago i noticed that if i jogged/walked before i Weighed in,I'd be lower than the day before and that little Revelation has messed me up physiologically
With the early Morning Gym classes,it's hard for me to get to the ones i like cause I'm trying to do too much in order to WI before i go.It's all getting very stressful.Something has GOT to give
Plus since I've added in a night exercise routine too. Must find a balance. It's going to take some time and will be really hard but I've got to ween myself away from that habit for my own sanity. So with that..going w/yesterday's WI as my starting weight for October..171.0
Hey ladies! I have some uber excitement happening over here. Forgot to weigh in yesterday, but this morning I was down 2.1 from my last WI. So hello 197.2. I'm really really going to aim to be as low in the 90s by the end of the month, which is going to be an enormous feat - we have a number of religious festivals that happen in October (why they all accumulate at once is beyond me) and they're all associated with food celebrations, ahhh. My birthday is also on the 19th. So I'm just going to have to stick to the plan and exercise some major willpower. But for now, I'm excited with today's WI.
I think it is the sodium monster. We had tacos for dinner last night. I did not go over calories, but it was more sodium than what I am used to. So far today, I had a 6 inch turkey subway on Wheat with lettuce, pickle and honey mustard. We had a brunch, because we are going to see a lunch time movie. Gonna try to get in a run today. Have not ran since Wednesday. So I gotta get back to it.
I am down 2 pounds to 157.8. TOM went away again (hopefully he'll stay gone longer this time). I fully expect to be back up a little bit tomorrow though because I weighed in 1.5-2 hours later than usual, but I doubt that accounts for a whole 2 pounds, so yay! The zumbathon for breast cancer went well, we had a large crowd, though I don't know yet how much we raised.
Rennie - other than the fact that we only have to do the one weekend overnight visit, yep, that sounds about right. Our case worker is going to try to get things pushed through quickly, but right now we are not even actually matched to them yet, so still praying and
Mandy - You can do this! Stay strong. We got your back girl!
aka - I'm glad you saw the doc and got meds, hope you feel better soon.
Coondocks - I'm sure your body will re-adjust soon and the scale can travel downward some more
LGW - I am with your cousin, sometimes in the beginning or during a getting back on track time that is exactly what you have to do, force yourself. Good luck!
Diana - I hope that it continues to work for you.
Angie - I am sorry that you have had a rough few days.
Ona - After you get into the routine I'm sure you will still see your losses. Trying to change a routine can be really stressful and crazy-makin though.
Starting October 1st off at 172.2 and SO happy about it. I have a goal to lose 13 lbs by Thanksgiving (which I REALLY hope I can do since I just lost 9 in September) but I am not sure what I want the scale to say yet on November 1st. I guess I would want it to be down at least another 8 to 9 lbs so I can really kill it in November! We'll see!
