Good Morning and TGIF! I am so ready for the weekend! Enjoy your weekend! Make the best choices that you can.

Calories for yesterday: 1440 +

Weigh In: 144.0

Down: .4

Angie I hope the hives aren't from a food allergy. I wake up with hives every morning from whatever my issue is. Some days they are not as bad as others. They will go away within an hour of me waking.

LGW Hang in there!

StarGetsFit Great job on avoiding the candy.

I knew I was retaining some water by the way my hands and feet felt last night, but this is nuts - I'm up 1.8 this morning!! The hives are gone, but maybe this is a result of some type of reaction??? It may be hard to isolate this as I have a team lunch today - I know already the chicken/salad option to choose at this restaurant but I'm sure there will be a corresponding sodium impact. Ah well... Nothing to do but keep going and wait it out.

Quick check-in, busy day at work, busy weekend ahead. Going to see The Help tonight, I'm sooo excited, loved the book! Tomorrow will be an errands and cleaning day, then to my parents' for dinner, and Sunday I'll be hanging out with my girlfriend from my old job whom I haven't seen since I left just over a month ago, so very excited. I'm going to stay OP as much as possible, and keep Lin's philosophy in mind just in case!

Have a great and on-plan weekend everyone!

Start May 15 - 238
June 15 - 229 (-9 total wt loss)
July 15 - 222.4 (-15.6 total wt loss)
July 31 217.8 - August 15th official weigh in

8/1 - no WI
8/2 - 218.2 (+0.4)
8/3 - 219.6 (+1.4)
8/4 - 220.2 (+0.6)
8/5 - no WI
8/6 - 216.8 (-3.4)
8/7 - 215.2 (-1.6)
8/8 - 216.6 (+1.4)
8/9 - no WI
8/10 - 217.4 (+0.8)
8/11 - 218.6 (+1.2)
8/12 - 218.6 (+0.0) ... I will take it!

I ate completely OP yesterday, correct groups and amounts

The only thing I could think of that I've done differently the last couple of weeks is the amount of coffee I drink when I work the 28h shifts...some creamer, artificial sweetner...but a few cups every evening....and it's the only thing that's different

so tonight....YES, another 28h tonight...I'm going to carry 1 diet soda (which usually does not affect me) and see if it makes a difference...I will also start taking my multi-vitamin again which provides me with sufficient enegy.

No WI for me tomorrow...

Angie: sorry for the gain, I totally understand

Diana: good morning to you

Matilda: you're well on your way

Have a great day and a great weigh in everyone!

I am down .6 to 168.2. Only .4 to go to my low, tomorrow or Sunday should do it.

Ona - This is the first time I have ever lived very far from the ocean. I was born and raised in Florida. I lived in California for a little bit, then ran home to Florida again. I lived in England for 3.5 years. Now I have been here for 3 years. My husband is not much used to living away from the ocean either, though he did have previous experience having lived in Germany for 4 years. There are many things that we do like about this place, but being landlocked is very much not one of them.

Jami - congrats on the new low. I'm sorry if you've already said and I missed it, but which machine are you doing intervals on? I assume the treadmill, but I shouldn't make that assumption since I know I used to do them on the elliptical.

Mandy - almost any type of illness can mess with the scale. I'm sorry about your allergies and the fire. That's pretty sad for all the critters too. I'm praying they get it out soon. I hope your dad has a great birthday.

Ophelia - Welcome back.

Lin - Philosophize all you like. I have often wondered similar things. I know dieting is hard and I don't meant to trivialize the cravings that people get or how hard it can be to fight off a trip to some fast food place, but I have never understood the idea behind if you messed up once then your day/week/month is blown and you may as well eat junk for the rest of it. That one slip up will probably mess with your scale, but it will most likely be mostly water and only a couple pounds. A whole day, a week, a month? Those could mean several pounds up to 20 or 30 for some people. There is a big difference there. I let TOM talk me into eating at a chinese buffet Sunday (including cheesecake), but later that night when I was hungry I still looked for something healthy and measured out my serving. I actually asked a woman I know once when she was getting into that mode how she would feel if her child came home with one bad grade on one single paper and then decided that he might as well give up on his education for the year. It actually worked. She put back the cookies and chips she was about to buy to go with her sandwich and got an apple instead.

Diana - Good job on winning the phone war!

Angie - Oh no! Did you eat anything that you never had before? Though an allergy can also develop to things that you have always eaten and it could also be something you touched. I have allergies to certain laundry soaps. Think of anything in your world that is new. Good luck figuring it out.

LGW - I had an issue some time back with a particular brand of creamer, so if you are drinking more coffee then that could be the culprit. I hope that having the diet soda instead helps. Good luck!

Happy Friday everyone!

I was good all day yesterday until dinner, which I went way overboard on. Got all my water in, though...so, I think that helped mitigate the extra calories and sodium just a bit. For, against all odds, I'm actually down a little this morning to 236.8. Hope this means it's a sign that now was a good time to get back on the bandwagon, lol.

Mandy - Don't you just love those random fluctuations? Haha. Also, enjoy your day today!

Matilda - I'm in the same boat. I've had my vacation, and now I'm ready to get my focus back on! We've got this.

OnaMi - Thanks, it's good to be back.

JamiSue - Thanks to you, too! I'm glad to see so many people still in full, active swing here. I love this place. Also, I feel the same way...deeply connected to the night sky. A wonderful thing.

Diana - Wooo! Great job on the phone fiasco! Also glad you guys got to visit with family; sounds like a great evening all around.

Angie - Eep! I hope you figure out what might be giving you the allergic reaction. Have you introduced anything new to your diet or used any different detergents or soaps, etc? Also, I missed you guys, too. :hugs: Love the new hair, by the way...looks great on you!

LGW - Thank you! Love that quote you posted yesterday, too...so true, lol.

Lin - Have fun at the wedding!

FitGirly - Thanks! Early congrats on hitting your low, you're so close!

CutieCourt - Sounds like an exciting week and a ton of fun! I love times like those where being active just means having the best time ever, haha. Makes it easy. Have a great weekend, and happy anniversary in advance!

Vixsin - You're doing great! Enjoy your day today, too!

May 2011 - Lost 10 lbs
June 2011 - Lost 6.7 lbs
July 2011 - Lost 6.2 lbs

July 31: 259.7
1: 259.9 (+0.2)
2: 258.6 (-1.3)
3: 257.3 (-1.3)
4: 257.7 (+0.4)
5: 258.2 (+0.4)
6: 259.3 (+1.1)
7: 258.4 (-0.9)
8: 259.5 (+1.1)
9: 257.3 (-2.2)
10: 255.5 (-1.8)
11: 254.0 (-1.5)
12: 252.2 (-1.8) TOTAL LOST 7.5

YAHOO! I have OFFICIALLY lost OVER 40lbs today! So freaking excited and proud of myself. Thank you to all my 3FC besties for being my rocks! I never would have made it this far on my journey with you.

So....my Body Fit Challenge with CalFit (my gym) starts tomorrow. I'm excited to see what I learn about fitness and nutrition from my trainer. Of course it's going to be tough...I'm sure...but I'm up for the challenge!

Oh yea...and I'm eating for dinner tonight. I cannot freaking wait!

Diana -- Congrats on winning your bout with the phone! And how funny about the family members. I think there's a group like that in every bunch. My groups drops in like that every 5 years or so. I always love visiting and catching up with them but it cracks me up that they never call first. Too funny. TGIF for sure!!

LGW -- That's what we're here for! Good luck on this next 28hr shift tonight!

Star -- Here's some magic , some wishing , and some luck that you wake up at 245 tomorrow! You are doing so great. Keep it up girl!

Angie -- I here ya about the cooking. I can only trust myself in that area! LOL. I am having some much needed and desired pizza tonigh myself and fully expect a temporary gain tomorrow...but it's worth it! Sorry to hear about the hives...seems like a few folks here are having weird allergy issues. Diana's seem to be getting better but now Mandy thinks her might be acting up. What up with that?

Kukkie -- I'm hoping to go see The Help tonight too. And yes, I LOVED the book and can't wait to see how they did transferring the story to film. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. Spending time with my family and friends is BY FAR AND AWAY my favorite thing to do. Have a great time!

Matilda -- Nice job turning that around. Keep it up!

Roxy -- Congrats on the .6. That low is so close! I do my intervals on the elliptical. The treadmill makes me want to shoot myself and I figure why bother anyway...the burn from the elliptical is just about twice as nice!

Court -- Nice loss today missy! Your evening last night sounds like SO much fun! Oooh...and getting ready for camping too...that's one of my most favorite things to do. And with you hubby on your anniversary...sounds like a great way to spend a weekend.

OnaMi -- Wow! Jogging 2 miles, Zumba AND yoga! You are amazing!

Vixsin -- Yay! So long pound!! I'm hoping to only work a 1/2 day too. Guess I'd better hurry up with these personals so I can get back to work and get outta here!

Ophelia -- Congrats on seeing a lil' loss this morning. I would BET that's your bodies why of rewarding you for getting back OP. Keep it up!

Cutie - Who says you can't dance even if you do have seats?

Ona - Cali, England, and Arkansas all have their own beauty, but Florida will always be my favorite place in the world, it's home.

Ophelia - Now is always a good time! Congrats.

Jami - I had an elliptical which I used so much I finally wore the thing out. I had temporary insanity at that point and bought a treadmill instead of a new elliptical. I hardly ever use the thing.

Eclipse - Congrats on the .8

I am all sweaty from the gym. Time for lunch and then on to P90X (after some digestion time since today is plyo).

Hey gang
Back in Belgium, had a good trip with DD . Did lots of shopping, and Mother and daughter talking which was needed pre her Rome trip.
Just peturbed that my brother and his wife called me selfish for wanting to stay slim been a bit of an emotional roller coaster with others over this one. Will think about what needs to be said and get back to you !!
Have a lovely weekend everyone xx
