Whoosh! I guess my scale decided to listen to my mood this morning since, for the first time in a few weeks, I woke up feeling great and ready to kick some butt. After much encouragement from my 3FC besties, I was kindly reminded, more than once, that there are many ways to measure success and the scale is simply the most convient - not the best. SO...I decided it was time for my first progress pictures (attached) and some new measurements. The progress pictures blew my mind. And the measurements...well, I had just measured 3 weeks ago so I wasn't expecting much, if any change but low and behold...I was nearly 5" inches smaller! 2 of that was from my waist and 2 1/4" from my hips! So, whether this whoosh sticks around or not, I'm confident that I am changing my body and am actually happy that this stall happened. It was my first one and I learned a lot and am confident that I will fare much better emotionally when it happens again. Thank you so much for putting up with me, loving me, pushing me on, and offering much needed and appreciated advice!
Rennie -- I am so sorry TOM is throwing you for such a loop. Want me to come over there and have a talk with him? This will pass, the cravings will go away then you can get back to being and feeling like you again! Stay strong my friend! Nice job shedding that .4 even though you're feeling less than normal. Keep it up!
OnaMi -- Morning my dear. Hope you have a nice jog! Yay on losing that .2...you're snuggled nice and comfy into those 170's!
Kukkie -- Oh Kuk! You are doing amazing and will soon be joining the ONEderland club! So happy and proud to you!
Diana -- You are simply the most fantastic role model us girls could ever ask for. BIG congrats on making it back down to the low part of your maintenance rance this morning!
Vixsin -- So happy to hear that you had such a fun weekend and yes, you do have to live! Hope you have a great day and an easy time getting back on your plan!
Kiyo -- Good morning and congrats on the .5 loss!
Roxy -- So long 1.4! Nothing to add on the food processory but I'm anxious to read the suggestions others give.
Angie -- I did start focusing on getting more protein and for the first time...went a lil' over my protein goal for the day. Yay!

Had a NSV today.Mother and sister have been talking about how my face looks since I've been losing weight like forever. From saying things like, i look like I'm sick, have i thought about a face lift.. to anything/everything negative.
Well today.. Mother said." you're face looks good ,what have you been doing?" And the never give a complement Sister said,"wow, your face looks like it's filled up,fluffy".I was surprised, this is the first time they both had something good to say about my face.
Diana -- Thank you! Yes big differences in my mid-section, which is good since that's where I carry most of my weight and yes, I did notice that sweet curve in my neck too! Woo hoo!
LGW -- Congrats on your OP day! Keep up the good work!
OnaMi -- THANK YOU!! I'm so happy that your mother and sister said nice things to you because you deserve it! (I'm only sorry it took so long.)
Thanks Jami great job on the 2.2lbs Gone Jami you look great and I can definitely see a difference in your waist, hips and chin/neck. You go Girl. I am so happy for you. Keep up the great work
Hi Diana hope you're having a great day
LGW get some rest, I think busy is good helps me also
Thanks Ona ... Glad they finally acknowledged your beauty out loud when you don't respond to the negative you know the positive has got to come out and it did. Happy for ya' Lady, great NSV
My dinner tonight wasn't enough food (calorie wise). I came home and made me some boiled okra. I am OK on my calories, but I'm feeling really full. That's not usually a good sign for me. I probably shouldn't have eaten the extra okra.
Vixsin I hope you are able to get caught up with your work.
CutieCourt I hope you get more sleep tonight.
Kiyoshima Congrats on the .5.
Fitgirlygirl Congrats on the 1.4 pounds. I *feel* best around 143. It's funny when I get close to 142 I start looking really thin in my face. I don't know why a pound makes that much of a difference.
Ilbnej Congrats on the .4.
Rennie Wow! All of that out! Crazy! Congrats on the .4.
JamiSue Congrats on your 2.2 pounds and awesome pictures!
LGW Hi Hang in there and stay on track. You can do it.
Whew! Busy day at work today. I didn't get caught up on all of the reading but I did read your story, Diana, about DH and a new dog. It made me smile. I've also been through the loss of a pet and the joy in getting another.
Had a great supper and was able to get some dancing in for about 30 mins so that is always good. My friend and his boys are coming over on Friday so I'll have to get cleaning. I'm planning on a nice 30 min incline walk tomorrow right after work. That way, I'll be able to clean up a bit after Maxwell goes to bed.
I'm off to bed for a nice 7.5 hrs tonight. See you all tomorrow!
Hi all -- Long day for me. Weighed in at 205.4 so that's up a pound, but I know I'm on track for calories and even content (protein/veg) so it's just a matter of getting rid of the sodium. I had lunch at the food court with my boss today and I stuck to the plan -- protein and salad. I'm sure there's sodium there too, but I made the best choice for sure. I'll put my faith in that and wait for my whoosh
Thank you guys for cheering me on -- it's really motivating for me to hear your praise on making good decisions; it makes me want to do more of the same.
Rennie -- Bah! I'm so sick of TOM, I'm about to kick him out of my life for another month. Sorry you're feeling so crummy today
Kukkie -- Congrats on your 2.2 whoosh!!
Diana -- Good job on your 1lb today
Courtney -- Thanks! Yeah, I hadn't thought of that, I got to a new low during TOM -- yeah!!! Good job getting .2 today with so little sleep!
Kiyoshima -- Good job on your .5
Roxy -- Congratulations on your 1.4 loss today!!
Gale -- Oooh, I like your Cuisinart! My stepmom has promised me a nice new food processor for Christmas. I still feel kind of attached to my trusty 20 year old one though...it only has 2 blades lol.
Jami -- What the heck! What a huge difference in your progress pics, holy cow chickie!! You look great, good job. AND...were you going to mention that you got a GINORMOUS tattoo during this journey (or did you mention it and I just totally missed it???) I'd like to hear more about that Your hair is so cute in your current pics!
LGW -- Good job sticking to plan through your long shift!
Ona -- That was very nice of your mom and sister to say! I bet the skin on your face just caught up with your weight loss. I sometimes see my face as saggy, but then it seems to fill out again -- I think our skin needs more time in some cases. I love your pretty face!
Thanks Angie as long as YOU know you are doing the right thing you know your whoosh is on the way I just hope I'm done by Friday night/Saturday morning. I thought after 5 children and age it would get better, humm.
Diana are you and DH thinking about getting a new pup?
