I ate approx. 1300 cal which is good but what's more important I walked for about an hour. It was a brisk walk (at least 6 km= 4 miles in 60 minutes!) with my brother who is also fighting the same battle as I do. We are both overweight and on high blood pressure medications! We are going to do this! Yes we are!!!!:carrot: |

Quick fly by from me. Another on track day yesterday. We went out to dinner at Outback and I had the lite version of grilled salmon and steamed veggies. Sooo good and sooo on plan. :carrot:

Did pretty well yesterday also...ate on plan. Going to try adding my workout routine back in starting this weekend. First time after surgery, but I think I am ready!

Yesterday, I had about 1000 calories worth of ice cream, which was nice, and necessary to make my teeth feel good. I don't count that as a frownie day though, because I love myself, and I feel like loving myself has something to do with health too. And yesterday, eating ice cream all day made me feel better about the operation (not to mention the swelling). As I am doing recovery, I am going to try to just stay under 1200 calories a day, starting today. I am eating better stuff now, like chicken noodle and macaroni and cheese. As long as I stay under 1200 calories, I am not going to penalize myself for sugary foods, ect. I am just glad I am eating! LOL have a good one, tell you girlies what happens by monday, my next weigh in |

19 :) 20 :) 21 :) 22 :) ROCK ON! 5 days in a row. No excuse. Step, food, exercise, the whole shabang! Tonight I wanted to sit on the couch and eat the halloween candy we bought for the T or T, and I didn't! I did 56 min of cardio instead!!!!!! |

He has bronhitis (I'm not sure it's the term you use) and fall/spring is always hard on him. So yesterday he got fever and his doctor prescribed him antibiotics. Well, needless to say-kids and taking a medicine. I had to treat myself with little bit of comfort food just to calm myself (emotinal eater) but still I finished a day on 1200 calories! Exercise: zero, but I felt at the end of the day like I ran a marathon!:dizzy: |
Finally kicking the sinus issue, and getting back on track. Had some terrible pasta for dinner...spent the rest of the night chowing strawberries to get the horrible taste out of my mouth, ha XD

All of these were good days. Today I am spending the day up in Salem, MA with a friend. We will get lunch someplace and I'll try to make a healthy choice. Tonight I'd like to go for a run as well. Yesterday I got zero exercise. The weather was cold and I just didn't feel like walking in it. Today I'm going to bundle up so I can walk around during the day without freezing my butt off! |
Yesterday I was on plan, so I'm glad about that.
Today I am already struggling, and it's only morning. I barely slept last night and when I did I kept dreaming about sugar. :dizzy: And then I was so tired from not sleeping during the night that when the alarm went off I turned it off and missed my workout (at least it's Saturday, so there's still time ;)). I will do a different workout today instead, and work to turn this around and stay on plan today. Yesterday was an absolute blur and today is on the same track. Someone slow things down a bit please. Sheeesh!
So I was running around so much and forgot to eat. YUP. Me. Forgetting food. My husband had to remind me :rofl: At the end of the day it was all good and I was on plan. Today I get to resume exercising. I'm gonna dig out one of my Leslie Sansone tapes to start things off slow. Next week I get to kick it up again and get back on my Bowflex machine. Hi, all! Good day yesterday for me. Today I am going to do my first real, honest-to-goodness workout since my surgeries last month. I am very excited about it...but terrified to learn how much of my fitness I have lost. All to a good cause, I suppose, because my level of fitness improved resolution of the medical issues pretty dramatically. Still.

I don't know how many calories I've eaten so far, but it's definately not in my calorie range. Now I feel sick, have headache and feel quilty on top of that. I walked again for an hour, but it's nothing comparing to the amount of food I digested today. Grrrrrrrr.... |
Ugh, I have messed up so many times since starting this. Not like binges or anything, but certainly a cheat meal or snack here and there. I'm starting over.

Another day on plan. I didn't run as much as I wanted, but I ran fast to make up for it. I spent the day in Salem with a friend and I managed to stay good. I had my "good meal fall back" which was the grilled salmon. The restaurant we went to was a seafood place and almost everything was fried and came with french fries. The grilled salmon came with a side of roasted potatos and mixed vegetables. I also avoided alcohol. Dinner was a local healthy wrap place and I got a curried chicken wrap (chicken, curried vegetables, brown ride, and fruit chutney). It was delicious. Then I went to a movie and then ran for a couple of miles. I'm getting close to get back down to where I was in weight. I think with the morning weigh in I'll probably only be a couple of pounds up from my lowest. I know if I stay on 30 for 30 on this challenge I'll not ionly be in new territory but I'll be in the 180s! That is totally motivating me to continue! |

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. I catered for the party. I made all sorts of delicious food. I made baked ziti, rice and beans, baked chicken, potato salad, green salad and a cake. It went great we had a lot of fun. The best part I stayed within my calorie range. I had my cake and got to eat it to...lol! Everyone loved the food. Funny thing is no one even knew that the ziti was made with ground turkey and that I used fat free cream cheese instead of ricotta and that it only had 8 oz of mozzarella cheese on top for the entire pan. I prepared a healthy feast and no one even asked!! I ate a 1/2 cup of the rice, 1/2 cup of the ziti, 1 chicken thigh(no skin), 1/3 cup of potato salad and a mound of the green salad. Drank water and crystal light!! I had a little sliver of the cake(no frosting). I have never been into sweets(thank God)!! This is huge for me I would have gone for seconds before. wisdom teeth recovery
Onherweighdown – I know this might sound strange, but you should hold your frownie faces with pride! LOL. The reason I say this is because it has really helped me see where I have messed up, and it helps me see when I finally need to give into those cravings.
Creech – I hope everything is okay. Remember, if you are stressed out, make sure you are at least eating three meals a day. Charms- Congrats! That’s good reason enough to keep on smiling! (LOL, get it, okay, I am a dorkus. Lol) Sea- It could be that TOM, we all gain a little weight during that time. Today, I am having oatmeal for breakfast, chicken noodle for lunch, and then whatever my hubby cooks for dinner. Considering the issue with the toothies, I am assuming that I won't be geared off plan at all today, so I will just give myself a smiley anyway. We've still got about 20 days left in this challenge, so everyone keep it coming! Even if we have slipped up, we can redeem ourselves in the next 20 days. What do I have to say? Nothing to justify my overeating! I was a bad, bad girl yesterday and today!!!
The only good thing that came of those two days is that I walked for an hour yesterday and today. I definately don't feel good after eating so much, so it means that my eating habits have started changing. Monday is my day and I'm going to be on track! |
So I out of curiosity, I decided to get my scale out today and I had a major swoooosh. I dropped 8lbs since this thread started. I'm so happy.

Yep....here is another one totally off plan. Both exercise and eating have been horrible...I am going to get back on track again, but I don't understand why old habits are so easy to pick up again! I know alot of what's going on is stress eating because I have a Dr's appointment this Friday that I am nervous about for some reason. No excuse, but still. I will be be able to put a smile again tomorrow.

Today was actually a great day on plan, although it's 9:30pm and I am still trying to finish my roasted cabbage from dinner. I think next month I'm going to have to set up some strict exercise challenges. I've been walking every day but it's really not much.
