I hope the results will justify my optimism.:carrot: I've been eating between 1200 cal and 1500 cal a day and going for a 40 minute brisk walk. We'll see if that's enough! |
I guess my problem is that I'm expecting perfection of myself. Unless I'm perfect, I get a frownie face. I'm not sure that's the best plan of attack. BUT if I want to lose pounds, it seems I have to go about a perfect eating plan right now. What I'm doing doesn't seem to be cutting it anymore.

Yesterday was great! Came in under my calories and that was with a Frozen Yogurt...but its okay. Today is shaping up to being even better! Wohooo! Keep going everyone!!!!! :D

Eliana: I know times are tough right now, and I'm the same way with perfection. I think it's my OCD; if I don't have a completely on plan day I consider it ruined and I get very discouraged. I've been taking it one day at a time, writing out my plan and sticking to it. If you have Halloween candy around, allow yourself one piece every other day and incorporate it into your plan.. hide the rest! Another Chickie posted that they're giving out Halloween pencils and stickers instead of candy.. why not try that? Jelbelle: Feel better! He said I made his day because I am doing so well. My blood pressure has gone down, my weight has gone down...I am on my way to being healthy!! What he doesn't know is that he made my day by telling me that...woohoo!!! |
Phew! So far so good! I came home, had a handful of almonds and went out to work in the yard. Three hours later I am ready for dinner and I haven't been tempted by anything! :carrot: I think I see a smilie in my future. :D

Still on plan. Did a weight lifting workout today. I'm still sick, so I didn't feel great physically while doing it, but I felt really good that I got it done.

Two days down and both have been excellent.
10-18 :) 10-19 :) Yesterday was under my calories as well as today. I also did a nice run last night and have done a lot of walking today. Tomorrow will be a test, but I am going to handle it no sweat! I have a meetup group thing that I organize and we have a social gathering at a bar once a month. I'm not going to drink and while I will eat dinner there, I will eat something healthy like the grilled salmon. No fries for me! I'll try to leave a bit early as tomorrow night is also a scheduled run day for me. A nice run before bed would be great :) |
Awesome day even though my sinuses are still pretty horrible, exceeded my daily exercise and water intake, =) right on!

With TOM and a sinus flu, I'm glad to announce that I stayed on plan today, it took everything I had within me to stay on plan with both eating and exercise. I sooo didn't feel like moving today but I did it! I could use a nice big bowl of chicken soup with potatoes and carrots tomorrow. I really hate it when it gets cold. 10/11-17 =D 10/18 :( 10/19 :D |

Good job all you!!! I am still on plan but feeling frustrated. I have been at the same weight for about a month and a half now...I cannot seem to shake it! I have tried changing up what I eat and I have tried changing my exercise around a bit...I am just worried that even if I keep going I am going to be here for another month...and then it will just start getting annoying!!! I will be on today though! :)

I don't think that my body is getting enough calories. Currently, I am doing about a 1200 or below calorie diet, and some days I run six miles! I think that I just lose all sense of self control. Yesterday, I decided to let myself eat 1500 calories because I ran 6 miles and the jellybeans just hit me! LOL! Today, I may or may not run (I am leaning against not. I will be bed ridden for the next four days because i am gettting my wisdom teeth taken out. :( However, I will be only drinking those odwalla protein smoothies for four days too, which will be a nice little fast for my body before I start my new job/exercise routine on Monday. So yeah, I am going to amp my calorie intake to 1500 for days that I work out and 1200 for days that I don't and hope that this creates more results and doesn't end up making me want to eat all in sight! |
Librarygirl, you really do have quite a pattern going there! LOL! Well, I predict the next two days are going to be good for you!

All, I need to post a feel-good moment. My partner brought home a loaf of bakery-fresh, iced cinnamon bread from work yesterday. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! But I didn't touch it, as much as I wanted to, and put it in the big freezer out of sight so I wouldn't be tempted to do so.
that was a pretty close call, as the "just one slice" voice was whispering diligently in my ear. :D Still a sucker, 10 1/2 months in! :rofl: But this time I won. :) |

Three good days in a row. I had a challenge today and didnt cave in even though I wanted to and could have easily done so. I ate dinner at the bar and probably picked the best thing I could have on the menu (grilled salmon with veggie and potato). I didn't drink at all and stuck to diet cokes. My exercise was pretty much nil though as I was still a bit sore from Monday. Tomorrow night I have to run. |

Yeah! On plan yesterday! I think I'm finally kicking the sugar to the curb! It always takes three solid days and today would be day 3. Sugar is such an addiction, but you don't really see it while you're in the grips of it. It's more of an after-thought.
I have lost three inches from my bra band! I don't know when that happened! I judge success by my pants and my pants haven't budged in months! I don't know what possessed me to measure my bra band area, but I did and it was three inches less than it was in September. So I guess I am losing inches...just not in places I normally check. :rofl: 10/11- :( But I don't care. I have that if it is not in the house I wont eat it mentality so I don't buy it. Long story short I went with my daughter's class on a trip and they offered us lunch. Not so bad a turkey and cheese sandwich, apple slices, fruit juice, water, cookies (which I passed) and chips!!! I ate them!! Aaaaahhhhh but I know today will be a better day!! |
Vivian, in my diet plan, that used to be "on plan". ;) It's ok, in my opinion to indulge once in a while. To me, that's just life and I'm trying to eat for life. Now that I'm trying to get off the last set of pounds, I have to be more "perfect". But I think you're doing great!

Haven't been able to catch up with everyone's posts yet.. I was so exhausted when I got home from class last night I just went straight to bed! Who gets stuck in traffic on the Verrazano Bridge at 10:15pm after taking a gruesome midterm, writing a paper on a 1 hour dinner break and after all that sitting through a fast-paced 3 hour lecture? I DO!! x_x
Still on plan, which I'm shocked because I'm so stressed that I'm breaking out all over my chin. Four days in a row! Today was especially good as I just got home from a 4 mile jog. I took the last couple of days off from running, but went back out there this evening. My food choices today were right on plan and I was under my calorie count. Weekends are usually my downfall, but with all of your support and encouragement I know I am going to get through this one. |
I'm having a bad case of the blahs today. I'm on plan with both my food and exercise, but the rest of me is just in a blah mode. It did help a bit to see all my little dancing carrots (back on my original post on page 3). Hoping tomorrow the blahs move on.
On a side note, it's fantastic to see how well so many are doing. We are almost 2 weeks into the challenge. For those that are struggling, tomorrow's a new day, you still have time to make it work. |
