I stayed the same today.

Eliana - The skinny fairy didn't visit me either last night.

PM - I hope you feel better soon.
Saks - Good job on the weight loss!
Joni - If the skinny fairy shows up, send her my way too
Eliana - I get so frustrated with the slowness, it is what always sabotages any of my weight loss plans. It will happen girl!

So, today I stepped on the scale and had to step off and back on like 3 times to believe it. 262.5. FINALLY! It's moving down. I'm still on TOM and I can still see and feel the bloat in my lower tummy. I hope more will come off in a few days.

Back on track yesterday...and that feels good.... even though the scale isn't showing it yet.

thanks for the well wishes, everyone! I think I am on an upward trend now - not better, but improvement. So hopefully just another couple of days. I still can't do any real activity because that triggers a coughing fit but I'm back on plan with food - no more needing to eat pretzels for the nausea!

Down 1 lb today from yesterday - 3 more to go to get back to where I was, so hopefully, this is the start of a whoosh!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Tuesdays are dedicated to 2 dollar pints with my friends , but I haven't gone in over a month. Yesterday I decided to go (left some cals open for the pizza and beer, ughh) and I refused to weigh myself this morning because of it. I know I'm retaining water. Blech. Today, it's back on track.

Eliana-I unofficially started with the new year. At that time, I tried to have more fruit and veggies, and less carbs and sweet snacks. Not easy to do since my family equates food with love. I really got serious about exercising and measuring portion sizes mid-February. My starting weight I am using is according to my last doctor's visit in Dec. My next doctor visit is tomorrow; I am anxious to get an "official" weight on their scale!
I am down 1 pound this morning! Yesterday my husband and I walked for 2 miles, and I did my 20 min. exercise video. At dinner I filled my plate with extra veggies, and had 1/2 baked potato (plain) along with my protein. I know soon I am going to have a sugar need and slip on something! I have been very good about getting enough water each day!

saksn4 - how about sugar free jello for that sugar need?

Gourmet Bean - hope you at least had fun!!! lol! Drink a LOT of water, that should help get rid of the extra you are carrying.

I'm still crawling out of bed in the wee morning hours and missing WIs, but yesterday the Wii Fit told me 297.8. I didn't "log" it as a WI because I usually weigh on my bathroom scale. I don't want to get my hopes up but I may just have to peek at the scale tomorrow morning.

Downing the water, huh? That's what I need to do today. Just filled up...thanks for the reminder!

It's back to basics for me today, making sure this isn't a self-induced slow down. I know it's TOM for me, blah, blah, blah, but I also know that I had cake yesterday for a holiday I don't even celebrate! LOL! I did that for Mardi Gras too!! Two holidays I do not celebrate, but I joined in on the festivities. Bad, bad, bad.

Hey, Eliana... slightly counter productive ? Maybe...but not that "bad" These minor indiscretions are nothing to dwell on...maybe just an opportunity to explore alternative choices, and move on.
I'm down again...but unlikely to make 199 by Saturday...that's ok.... it is what it is, and I'm still better off than I was a year ago on the first day of spring.

Marigrace, those are the kinds of things I'm trying to remember too. There's no going back...I rather like where I am. I'm just not content to stay here. I would like to get to an official "40 lbs down" though! I'm not quite there...
