I make pita pizza. Lightly toast a whole wheat pita, then add some fat free tomato sauce and Kraft 2% mozzarella (I've tried other brands, that is really the best). You can add veggies or whatever else you want but I've always preferred plain cheese anyway. At least for me, it really satisfies my taste for cheesy pizza goodness for under 400 calories and that's with a lot of cheese!
I use Flat Out Wraps for home made pizza. The wrap is around 100 cals. I load up on veggies - black olives, onions, tomatoes and green peppers and sprinkle with cheese. Yum!
Sometimes I'll use pizza sauce, other times I'll use a pesto sauce. Now I want pizza
PeanutsMom and Shylah-Thanks for the pizza alternatives. I will definetly try both of your ideas! My problem is my family likes pizza from certain carry-out places! I usually have to leave the kitchen when the pizza comes home or else my plate has a never ending refill of pizza on it!
Congrats PeanutsMom on your loss today! I am up 1.5, but I know yesterday I did not get enough water in, but did take in too much sodium! So, guess what I am gulping down already this morning? 2 bottles of water down, how many more to go????
I am down .2 pounds today from 229.8. Well, atleast I have not gone back up into the 30's. I think too much sodium the past few days. I really need to be better about drinking more water.
225.6 today and that's with TOM starting, so in the next week I should see a decent downward slide.
Pizza oh how I love thee. I did however try a new alternative to it today with whole wheat crust, pepperjack cheese, fresh spinach and a roma tomatoe. It was the single serve pizza crusts, premade. and YUMMY. I've also made it before with the flatout wraps, my daughter and I are all about the uber thin crispy crust and love those
All this talk about pizza! I made one for dinner tonight for hubby and I. My half was 'Italian chicken' and Hubby's was pepperoni, which I make him put on the himself. Ick.
I am down 1lb today to 228.6. I am hoping this is the begining of a downward slide.
Now on to the pizza subject. I made the overloaded pizza from eat this not that last week. It was great with artichoke hearts, roasted redpepper, onion, and black olives. I am going to make it again today.
