I'm new to the whole NSV. Any other time I've lost weight, I've never really had any.
I only have 4 pairs of jeans.
I had 4 pairs of old jeans, which I wore while I was at my highest weight. I had to literally stuff myself into them, and at the same time, they were so uncomfortable and painful. They were tearing because of the abuse I was putting them through, not to mention they were already 2 years old.
I finally bought 4 new pairs and got rid of the others... but they were also bigger sizes. All 4 were rather snug when I bought them, meaning if I gained anymore weight, I'd be going up another size (which had already been suggested, but I refused).
After losing 34/35 pounds, all 4 pairs of jeans that were snug and digging into me are all lose. I don't mean loose as in they finally don't dig into me and fit, but they are falling down my butt-loose.
I can't afford any new clothes right now, so I'm making due with these.
I have to Erkle them, only for them to fall back down to my waist, and start working their way down my butt again. Very baggy and starting to drag on the floor. I was in a parking lot, and someone was waiting for my mom's spot, so I jogged to the car and had to hold up my pants because they started falling
I figure for money saving, I'm just going to start using a belt (which I've never had to do for purposes such as keeping them up) until I can afford something else.
In addition, last November or so, I saw a shirt of my mom's that I really liked, so she gave it to me. It's short-sleeved, a bit more shorter sleeves than the average-to-your-elbow short sleeved shirt. When I'd wear it, you could see the rolls in my stomach. Pretty clingy, and the sleeves were pretty tight and would ride up a bit. I never wore it without an over shirt.
Now the sleeves are loose (I'd wear it without an over shirt if I weren't so self-conscious of my arms) and you can no longer see the outlines of my stomach. It's on the verge of being big.
Nobody really noticed my weightloss, including my mom, until I started wearing better fitting clothes. One evening I put on the shirt that I just mentioned above, and my mom's jaw just dropped with an "oh my god..." lol
I don't typically care much to hear comments about my weight (even the good ones), but there's one person at work in particular whose mouth just dropped when I wore certain things (since most of the better fitting clothes are clothes I've borrowed from my mom).
Honestly all of these things have felt so much better than what I've seen on the scale.
Sorry, a bit long winded lol
