Grammynancy- I could totally bike to work from here... That is once I loose enough so I don't break the bike 😒.. And I would have to run some trials because some of the hills are STEEP and you literally have hills both ways. One day!

I am now down to 385.8 and did 100 squats today. I also drank 88oz of water today if you count my coffee this morning.. Lol

Grannynancy: I know we’re following different plans (I’m doing low carb) but that is exactly what helped push me through any stalls I had - up my fat and lower carbs slightly and boom! a consistent drop on the scale that stuck. Keep it up, you’re doing great!

Good Morning

215.4, another new low

I think this is the "whoosh effect" where fat continues to be burned but the body has its own plan for releasing the water.

GOAL: Calories -1162 , protein-67, net carbs-101, fat-51 , Omega 6:3-2.9 , Walk 12,000 steps, Yoga 20 minutes
ACTUAL: Calories -1225, protein-69, net carbs-116, fat-51, Omega 6:3-2.9Walk 12,000- Yoga - 0 minutes

Yesterday was frustrating with my new Garmin Vivoactive 3. I like it because of the heart zone alerts I have set that keep me in the aerobic zones because it seems to me how hard I breathe does not really correlate with my heart rate. But there seem to be some technical issues with the device and I may be returning and getting another.

Today, my focus will be on being focused.

Qckitty - wow great weight drop! I cannot even begin to imagine doing 100 squats. My knees have no issues but I think they would be recoiling in horror! How are the feet? Are you doing any walking?

Your daughter -- part of why I am doing this is my grown daughters who both struggle with weight and I wanted to use a plan they *could* follow if they chose as they are vegetarians and a plan that would work for life. I know darned well that whatever they do has to be their own initiative and their own plan so I am not pushing it. My younger daughter is leading the way in terms of exercise and has send me some strength training info so I am excited about that.

This goes way back in my family and I am hoping to break the cycle. My granddaughters are lean as can be but so were my kids when they were young and so was I ...I am not at all keen on their rush rush processed foods diet. My mother lost a lot of weight near my age but she just stopped eating and it was very unhealthy and she never exercised (she said cleaning house was her exercise and she was strong but her aerobic was terrible)

Hopefully you can come up with a good plan for your daughter while she is still young enough to gently mold.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Nothing for last night
This Morning: Oxycise Commuter workout

Calories for yesterday: 1540 +
Weigh In: 187.4
Down: .2

Have a Blessed day!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

November 29

John 16:22
'And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.'

It was very weird, but Linda sort of missed her diet. She had made some really good friends in her weight-loss group, and she had gotten used to the routine. If anyone would have told her a few months ago that she would miss dieting, she would have said they were crazy. What was there to miss? She had freedom to eat more of what she wanted to now, and she didn't have to be self-conscious. Linda really believed that God had given her new friends and experiences for a reason. She was so thankful that she had been able to lose weight the way she did, with the people she did. Maybe now she could go back and be a help to others.
Today's thought: On days when I can't help myself, maybe I can help others!

Good morning! After a vacation over Thanksgiving I'm getting back to normal. Water weight is finallllllllllly coming off after TOM. 149.6 this morning, the lowest in two weeks, but still a 1/2 pound to a pound over my previous normal. Hopefully now I can make some progress!

Good morning. Started this day with detox tea with honey and a shot of whipped cream. Going to try to turn it into my 5:2 day. Going to be a busy day.

Good morning everyone

WI up 1.2lbs this could be a combination of water retention with the exercise (btw earned my w/o complete yesterday) or the few spoonfuls of cookie dough I indulged in last night.

I have my w/o set for tonight when I get home so excited about that. I was worried that my DH would interupt me during the hour I use but he has been great about not coming into my office to 'see how I am doing' and waits for me to finish. When I am working out I am concentrating hard on balance/form etc and don't need the distraction of conversation.

I hop you all have a great day! All my meals are planned today so it will be a good day

Breakfast--oatmeal
Lunch--large bowl chicken noodle soup, apple, square of dark chocolate
Snack--3 small energy balls and... a slice of pastry :cries: lunch was temptation city for some reason
Dinner--small bowl of brown rice, tofu, and assorted vegetables with spices

Thankfully calories still came to ~1600 even with the dratted pastry.

Workout--25 minutes tabata-style cardio video
