Oooooof...I overdid on the Pilates yesterday. Not on the time, but on the "effort", if that makes any sense. Doing them today is going to hurt...wimpy flippin' muscles!

Well count me in, I'm joinin the pilates bandwagon....after all, if the video rentals are free, why wouldn't I??? Should I get a mat? LOL I have no idea!

Jen, yep, I'm sick...was in denial for a few days but now am in full blown season change flu! At least its all my head and throat...I've read not to exercise if you have a chest cold, your lungs and heart are already working hard enough, don't push it further. As for the body aches, a little ibuprofen and exercise helps that. So I'm muddling through. I hate to go to the doc, (nurses are the WORST pts) not to mention I'll get the whole, its a virus antibiotics won't help (which I know buy I want a magic pill to FEEL BETTER, and lose weight, but ha ha) but I think I'll break down and go tomorrow, at least get a prescription decongestant.

FedUp, I read what your DH said to you on another thread ! LOL Tell the girls over here, it was too funny.

Off to the gym.....OMG guess what? I have discovered eBay and am going HOG WILD ordering/bidding/buying things! Why, oh why, did I wait so long? That place is a goldmine! Any other addicts?

Yes...gym...not eBay...GYM.....GYM....GYM.....

NurseMichelle, if they'd just put computers with Internet access on those darn treadmills, all would be well!

I have to stay away from ebay, I would spend too much $$ there and not on bills!

I hate going to my doctor and avoid it. The last time I was there the nurse made me angry. Now that I think about it it wasn't really bad, but she did embarass me. I haven't been there for over a year, well maybe 2? hmm.

Callystia: I would never get off the tread if I could be online at the same time!!

Michelle I don't have a mat I just get on the floor!!

Good afternoon ladies,

It seems all is going well for all except NurseMichelle, I hope you feel better tomorrow. The treadmill was calling my name this morning at the gym. I did 35 minutes and was up to about 8 minutes of running during that time. Gradually trying to start running on my own terms. A bad knee injury has kept me from it, but I think losing weight has helped.

Not that big of a eBay fan, but I do love to do suduko puzzles on-line! At our gym each piece of cardio equipment has small TV with cable. The problem is at 5am, not much is on. So I have come to love GAC, CMT, VH1, and MTV. The music gets me going. This morning it was flashback to the 80s, so I was working out to Madonna and the Bangles.

My last doctor's appointment wasn't so good...high cholesterol and trigylcerides...hence trying to maintain a new healthy lifestyle. Four more months until my check up.

I guess technically I could use my computer while on the treadmill since I have a wireless mouse/keyboard but... its not practical.

Dolly good luck getting you Cholesterol down!! Nothing like a scare of high cholesterol to kick you in the butt!

I've decided to aim for 900 minutes of exercise this month. That'll be good.

Yay everybody!! You guys are doing great, and keeping me motivated as well I have worked out three times this week, at least 45 min. I'm doing this with my sister, and she has always had a really hard time trying to get me to work out for even 30 min., so she is greatful(sp?) that I joined this challenge. I'm even looking forward to working out today! I love seeing my little Turkey move bit by bit, and I don't want to end this month without achieving my goal. You guys are awesome!!!!!

Great job everyone!! I am becoming a bit of a nut myself. I got on my exercise bike, it is so hard to get started. but I just tell myself just go to five minutes then you will be fine. Then I always debate how long I will stay on it. My goal is 25 minutes, but if the kids are being good I want to do more! Yesterday I did 35minutes on my stationary bike and 35 on my treadmill Plus my pilates. I really want to work out a lot today because I am going out for mexican food and drinks tonight. ( one of my walking buddies is going back to Hawaii. I hope I can get in a total of an hour on each one today, but my but hurts so so bad! I have either spent way to much time on the exercise bike and bruised it, or I have lost the fat cushion .

Well good morning ladies,
I leave for vacation tomorrow...wish me luck! I did find out that there is a Whole Foods right down the block from my hotel, so I will be headed there for healthy snacks. I might try and get out early in the morning to walk...it is just sorta scary being in a city you are not familiar with. I am going to look up walking trails in D.C. today.

jcatron: What kind of exercise bike do you have? I can only get on the recumbent ones, the upright hurt my butt so much! I feel your pain!

shelliebellie: Great Job on the exercise! You will find that you actually miss exercising after a while.

mines an upright, it never hurt my butt before, but now MAN IT HURTS!

Have a great time on vacation!! Try to spend time walking, do you have a pedometer? try to get in 10000 steps a day and you should be good. Plus stretch!
