MzMoMo What does your diet consist of?
I love meat and it has so many calories. I can eat veggies and fruit but I wont be satisfied. I may need to be hypnotized lol. I wonder what the rates are hehe
For the past three weeks I have been eating a boiled egg and three strips of turkey bacon for breakfast followed by a cup of green tea. Snack between breakfast and lunch is either an apple and string cheese or peanut butter and 1/2 sliced banana on pita bread. I keep a couple clementines in my lunch bag if I need anything extra during the day at work, Lunch is either a Lean Cuisine, or Tuna either on a salad or in half a pita pocket with fresh baby spinach or as a sandwich. Dinner has been baked fish, brown rice and veggies, or grilled chicken ( boneless skinless) and sauteed green peppers ,onions, and a clove of garlic in a whole wheat tortilla wrap w/salsa . After dinner for dessert I usually have vanilla Greek yogurt and fresh blueberries or peanut butter cheerios and almond milk. And If I have enough calories left I love the 100 cal snack packs of microwave popcorn.
I also like baby carrots and hummus as a snack. Sometimes for dinner I will just have a salad with cottage cheese. I measure out my salad dressing because that is were one can get into trouble! I like balsamic vinaigrette.
I saute everything in olive oil. I use low fat mayo with olive oil and spicy mustard for my tuna along with pickle relish. The Lean Cuisines are high in sodium, so I have kind of been on the fence about eating those so much, but I love them I also like Triscuits with my string cheese sometimes, but again the sodium. Almonds are a healthy snack that will help curb your appetite. I find the green tea helps with my appetite control also. That is basically what I eat! Oh and I also eat Veggie burgers with sauteed mushrooms and onions and green peppers on it too!

Great job everyone on meeting your goals and putting forth a great effort!

Wow, that all sounds god! I wish I could eat carbs like that - I'd be as big as a house if I did. For some reason, thyroid problems and carbs (for me) do not make good friends. I am on a low carb plan. My weigh in is on Tuesday. We'll see how it goes.

Yay to everyone who made goal!

Hey all! Congrats to all of you who had a loss this week!

I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am in myself this week. I let my guard down starting on Friday. Had a night out with a friend....indulged in sushi and rum/diet cokes, which then led me into a horrible weekend. Depression and my emotional eating kicked in and I threw away all my hard work for the week. Not only did I not hit my target this week, I ended up with a lovely gain. Only thing I can do is learn from my mistakes, get back on track and start fresh for this week. Did my Zumba this morning and plan to do about 20 mins on my punching bag after work. That should get a little bit of my frustration out of me

1/30 - 274.6
2/5 - 277.6 (+3lbs)
2/12 -
2/19 -
2/26 -
3/4 -
3/11 -
3/18 -
3/25 -
4/1 -
4/8 -240

Default Yesterday

Went pretty well staying on plan. Think I went a little over board witht he nuts and cheese. Going to try and cut back. This mornig was bacon and eggs and then lunch is shake and salad and dinner corned beef and broccoi. Need to up my intake of water. I feel much more in control this time around and having a goal sure does help. So done .8 since yesterday and I know if I can make it this week without my one weekness wine, I can be good this weekend. Good lunch everyone lets hop to that goal.

Talking Let's make a turnaround, and go feed the cats! It will make sense after you read this

Wow are you gutsy. How easy would it have been for you to lie to us all and say "I had a great week, I lost three pounds". The only one who would have known the truth is you. I agree with the others, don't worry about last week, let's focus on this week. By the way, I ate a bunch of chips and watched the Super Bowl and boy did that turn out to be a huge waste of calories.

If you make a wrong turn on a road, you don't pull over to the side of the street and yell at yourself right? And then keep going down that wrong road so you never make it home to feed your cats? (okay I'm the one with the cats, let's just pretend this story is about me). NO! I turn around and go home. Otherwise the cats will have ME for dinner! And that's what we have to do. Turn around and go back to the right road of weightloss, beauty-dom. But let's not get obsessive like Madonna or Demi Moore. That's gross. Let's look good, not dead.

Okay I hope you enjoyed my little parable. Remember -- you started this group, it's your responsibility to finish it! We are counting on you!!

BYE! Ms. Hiking.

Well, I lost 5.2 lbs. in a little more than a week. I am thrilled. But, usually this is where it all comes to a screeching halt. I pledged 1.4 lbs for next week. We'll see. I know I sound all doom and gloomy - I am not - but we'll see what transpires.

Motivated Bride: some one said to me once: if you dent your bumper on the car, what do you do? You fix it. You don't go out and dent the other bumper. I used to tell myself that when I would gain. Kudos to you for your honesty!
