What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? I lost about 40 pounds 2 years ago, and had begun to regain some of that weight. When I hit 155, I decided it was time to stop talking about joining a gym and to actually do it.
What do you struggle with the most on this journey to health? I really like to eat and to eat well. I'm torn between wanting to be slim and attractive, and between thinking that life really isn't worth living without good cheese and chocolate.
What are three things in the area of diet/exercise you need to improve? 1. Learn, finally, to eat only when hungry and stop when full; 2. limit my treats more rigorously; 3. I want to learn to really love exercise.

What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? Being the heaviest that I have ever been after this baby & still wearing my maternity pants 3 months post-partum, cause I can`t fit into my pre-preg jeans - and I refuse to buy a bigger size!!!
What do you struggle with the most on this journey to health? Working out - in truth I have always disliked it, but I realize that it is a necessary evil (besides, I am tired of feeling like crap all the time!)
What are three things in the area of diet/exercise you need to improve? Getting off of my butt to start working out, drastic decrease in junk food eaten, eating healthier whole foods (as opposed to processed foods)

What are your fitness/health goals? I am within the normal weight range for my height but since I have a pretty small frame, I'm aiming to lose a few pounds. I'd also like to develop a healthy lifestyle so I won't suffer the same ailments as my mom has now.
What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? When my mom found out she had a high bad cholesterol level and when I noted that heart diseases seem to be genetic in our family, I decided to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
What do you struggle with the most on this journey to health? I am addicted to carbs especially pasta and sweets. I may lose a few pounds but they come creeping back when I give in to temptations.
What are three things in the area of diet/exercise you need to improve?
1) Ability to control temptations (chocolates, pasta, etc.).
2) Be within my set calorie intake of 1200 - 1500 calories per day

What are your fitness/health goals? I would like to weigh 150, which means losing more than 100 pounds. But for now, I just want to start to feel better and be one of those people who opt to light a candle over simply cursing the darkness.
What was the "trigger" or incident that made you decide it was time to lose weight and become more fit? There have been many. But the one that prompted me to begin this journey anew, with conviction, happened last week. I was about to be discharged from a short hospital stay and found myself alone in the room with my "chart." I must have been seen by about 25 doctors, so there was a report from each of them. As I flipped through the pages, I saw one word over and over and over again: obese. That's not who I am, I wanted to scream.
What do you struggle with the most on this journey to health? I despise restrictions, I despise routine. I love the idea of living grandly and abundantly, and I hate the idea of not being able to take food as a lover.
What are three things in the area of diet/exercise you need to improve?
1) I need to exercise. I just need to start.
2) I can't afford to be lazy and not prepare my menu ahead of time.
3) I have to get over myself and stop resenting that I have to count calories and try to look at it as more of a challenge than a burden.
4) And I must ad: I have to stop being lured away from common-sense eating by the promise every get-thin-quick scheme that comes down the pike.

I entered college in the 160s, and I said, "as long as I never see the 170s..." and then I saw the 170s and said "as long as I never see the 180s..." It was the last straw when I stepped on the scale and it said 195
