What are your weight loss goals for the Merry Month of May?

Count me in again this month. I'm aiming for a 6lb loss this month -- that would take me out of obese range and into overweight.

My goal is to average a weight loss of 1.5 to 2.0 lbs per week. Doing the math would put me at between 167 and 169.25 by the end of May, and I'll be happy anywhere in that range. So, my goal for May is to exit the 170's and move into the 160's!

Ah...I have now seen the post above, so I will use the same format (I'm new and still figuring things out). I'll use the approximate midpoint of my end-of-May range as my goal weight:

My goal for May is to get rid of 1.5 lbs a week. I'll have my weigh-in either later today or tomorrow so I'll check back with you guys. If it's today I'll just write that number down for May 1st and that will obviously be my start weight. Getting excited :)

Alrighty, here it is. I just weighed myself at the gym and I'm using that as my start weight for May 1st. I gained 0.8 lbs since last week but I think it's from water retention due to PMS :/

gonna get there soon ~ Oh boy that is the truth. That is how I feel when I am running. If I stop I know my legs will just give on me, so just keep going and finish, then I can collapse in all my glory..lol!

I actually just finished a nice little run on the greenway and feeling pretty good. So far, so good. Heres to another on-plan day!

I'm in too. I didn't come close to my goal last month, but I'm recommitting myself to this whole weight loss thing. I've been stuck in the 160's for way too long & losing .4 pounds a month just ain't going to cut it.

I'm going to try like heck to lose 4 pounds this month, which will put my weight down to 162.4.

I'm on my way back down from TOM, but still above where my starting weight is. My official WI day is Saturday, so I'm hoping to see a good loss. I've been pretty good on my exercising, but still need to make more improvements on my eating. I'm trying to plan my meals better & do some shopping over the weekend.

Great job ladies! It's great to see you all making such progress. I headed the wrong way this weekend. I'm not sure if it's due to the salty Mother's day food or if it's the cocktail I had with dinner Sunday, but I was up 2.5 pounds on Monday morning. I'm down half a pound this morning but it gets so discouraging.

I'll do good all week & watch my weight go down steady through the week & then on the weekend I'll eat or drink something that makes me skyrocket back up. It happens almost every week! If I could just learn to behave better on the weekends I would probably be a lot farther along in my weight loss! :)

Darn weekends! But they're so much fun!

I'm thinking that I am probably not going to make goal this month. 5.4 pounds in 16 days? I doubt it. BUT! Down is good and I'll take whatever the number is. I was hoping to be 160 by June 30th so we'll see. My dh and I were invited to a beach party on July 3--it'd be nice to wear a bathing suit even though I'm still going to be the fattest one there, seriously all the girls are 5 foot 8 and 120 pounds. Oh well. I hope everyone's having a bit more luck than me this month.

Staying on plan hasn't been too hard, it's the exercise that's killing me. I'm trying to run, and man that is hard. I just get so out of breath so easy! But I'm going to keep going. I ran more yesterday than the day before...so today I'll see if I can go even further without stopping!

Woot! Down 3.0 this week! A far cry from last week when I gained a pound. I was so upset last week when I got home from weight watchers I cried. Hopefully I'll woosh my way into June.

bg124 Belated thank you! :D If I check in on Wednesday, I usually don't check the whole thread.:o

I weighed myself last Wednesday, but I have no idea of what is my real weight :?: I have two digital scales. The old one fluctuated anything between 202.4 ad 202.7, while the new one said 101.7. There was always 0.5 kilo difference, but I don't know anymore. I suspect the new one is closer to the truth, since my trousers have become very baggy, but I don't know. I also don't have the faintest idea about which scale is closer to the one in the nutritionist office as I forgot to check that when I was there :mad:

I am sticking with 102.4 kilos, as I prefer things to be harder.

So, progress:
May 1st: 103.3 kilos
May 8th: 102.7 kilos
May 15th: 102.4 kilos?

In other news, despite losing weight, I have been unable to get new clothes, because my country sucks at big sizes, and the store that always get big jeans has decided to only bring skinny or super skinny, low rise jeans T_T Unhappy doesn't even describe how I was feeling.

Teacher2B: that sucks that you can't find smaller clothes as you lose weight. Could you order clothes off the internet, by mail? What about sewing your own or finding someone who can sew for you? That won't help with jeans, I guess, but some pants styles can be made at home. It will be so great when you can fit into the sizes that the stores have. I found it was important to have clothes that fit on the way down, so I hope you find a solution!

I really don't know if I'm going to be able to make goal considering that I have 3 days of drinking and concert food ahead of me this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Since I already bought my tickets there's no way that I'm not going. And EDC cost me so much money that I refuse to not have as much fun as possible. I'll just have to make sure that I don't go up in weight before the 24th. Ugh.

Aye, I will check on local sites, as I want to wait till I have lost some more weight to try the international sites, since I have not been dieting for a month still. Though I am probably going to get some bras that way next month, since the best bras I have had were bought in the UK (getting big bras here is a pain, as most of them are minimizer or horribly shaped). I usually had trousers made smaller by a seamstress, but I did a good spring cleaning a few months ago and most of my bigger trousers were given away.

I will probably go to the bigger stores in the capital this weekend, as there are a few stores that usually bring different jeans and trousers (there is a store I can always go to buy a pair of jeans, but i want to avoid it as much as possible,as they are very expensive.

Great job everyone.

Sum, I haven't been to Sagebrush, but I can't seem to stay away from an even better Mexican restaurant in Livonia, Las Palapas. Why does Mexican food have to be so fattening? It's usually my splurge for the week & I try not to over do it, but...................... It's so darn good. :)

I was out of town for the weekend for business & was totally shocked when I weighed in on Monday. I haven't seen my weight jump into the 170's for almost a month, even with TOM. But thankfully it seems to be moving down so I'm hoping it was just an awful lot of water weight from bad eating & drinking over the weekend!

I am so impressed by how motivated everyone is. I so want to lose the weight, but I don't want to give up everything. I remember being that motivated last year when I was losing weight a lot more quickly, so obviously I need to rediscover my motivation. I've been really good about my exercise, I just love my food. Too much obviously :)

So, in a new episode of "scales be crazy", my new scale says I am 100.9 kilos and the old one 102.1 :P So I am settling on 101.9, but god knows what my real weight is. One month until my next nutritionist appointment.

May 1st: 103.3 kilos

May 15th: 102.4 kilos?
May 22nd: 101.9 kilos?

TOM pushed my weight this week....Also am going on three days cigarette free* I slipped up and had one but that's it. *ugh* life kinda sucks right now, but I know this is for the best.
I ran yesterday. Normally I can run, but only short distances then I need to stop and walk for a while. Yesterday I ran further than I ever have before. My lungs felt great. It was quite a motivator for me. My DH is so proud. We're quitting together.
I'm ALMOST out of the 180's. Hopefully this weight gain is in fact TOM and not quitting smoking weight.

My numbers have been going up and down like crazy. 2 days ago I was up to 145 lbs, yesterday (my weigh-in) 141 lbs, and today 143 lbs, lol!

Goal weight: 134.2 lbs

Total loss for the month of May: 6 lbs // 1.5 lbs a week

I will not make goal this month...ugh. This just sucks!!!! But I have only myself to blame. This past week has been a complete fail. I did ok food wise but I didn't exercise! and I relapsed on the smoking...I feel like a failure. But I'm going to start again.
I'm going to wrap up the month of May with a 5 lbs weight loss and 3 lbs away from goal. I'm going to sign up for the June challenge now.

Katie- I had those days last month too! More than a few!! Stay positive and you lost 3! That's great! You can do it! You're down to 174, so maybe you hit a roadblock. Experiment with different routines and meals :) HTH
