Clydegirl, that is ok, I should've put my old name under my new name as my slogan or whatever it is called.
I have never had bison, it is expensive. I love antelope more than venison though. I am getting sort of tired of venison. I like it canned though, it is like roast beef w/ gravy in a jar. Great for folks like me who forget to take stuff out of the freezer.

Good morning!

The sun is shining (for now), it's 7:30 AM July 4 and I'm heading out to the gym to try and get my cardio in early.

Rain is predicted for the day. We plan on heading to the USAF base festivities as soon as I'm showered after my workout...hopefully it won't rain until later.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and if you celebrate (US) Independence Day, enjoy those fireworks!

Happy Fourth of July (to all in the US)

It's been a so-so week, for some reason I've been really tired so I've been sleeping a lot, if I didn't know it was 2 weeks away I'd swear TOM was here. I think it's just allergies, I've had a raging headache most of the week too. Anyway we'll see how WI goes tomorrow, yesterday I was down but the one I track is Saturday (I usually check 2-3 times a week).

"Wishing my life away" is something my grandma used to say when ever I'd whine that I couldn't wait for school/summer/finals week whatever to end, and it just kind of stuck to get me out of a "woes me" attitude

Well, I should get a move on we're having my SIL and family over for a bbq this afternoon, we're trying smoking ribs for the first time wish me luck.

Have a great weekend everyone.

-Tech

I am excited to weigh in today! I will be going to my TOPS meeting and then will post with the results. At my last weigh in, I was 2.25 pounds from losing 40 lbs., I hope I make it to that little goal!
EDIT: I made my goal! I have lost exactly 40 pounds! (big smile here)

Shy: You're describing how I sleep. My husband could sleep for 14 hours straight through a hurricane...I wake up after about 6.5 to 7 hours even if I'm in the deepest of sleeps and can't ever fall back asleep.

Tech: Hope you feel better. Maybe try some allergy medicine and see if that helps?

Toni: That's awesome! I'm so happy for you!

It's another sunny morning and instead of hitting the (already) hot gym I think I'm going to do my Sunday yoga today instead - I'll do weight training on Sunday. Still trying to get over the nasty sugar spike/downer feeling from yesterday anyway. For anyone who didn't read it, this was what happened to me on July 4.

Have a wonderful day all!

Great declaration, djay!

Had a great 4th. We were just getting everything ready to go camping today. We'll be gone for 2 nights, so I'll look forward to hearing from everyone when I get back!

Have a great weekend everyone!

I did overeat yesterday but I did it with great thought and not impulsively. Maybe that makes a difference to a binge eater, it feels like it was a different overeat, yet still too much food. I didn't have any sugary crap or anything, it was a decision to eat way more steak than I really needed. So now I will be more careful for the rest of my week.

Hey everyone. This has been a really good holiday weekend so far. ToniLight, I completely connected with what you wrote. I, too, have overeaten this weekend, but not in an out of control manner - rather, not paying attention to portion control...as you said, just more food than necessary. So, I will make every effort to get back on the wagon yet again. I'm somewhat disappointed in myself, because I felt so in control last week. However, you can't unring a bell, as the saying goes, so I'm not going to beat myself up over something that has already happened. Instead, I'm acknowledging that I goofed and I'm moving on.

Beyond that, I slept over 8 hours both Thursday night and last night. This is not normal for me!! I usually get between 5-6 hours of sleep a night. Oddly, even with more sleep, I have darker circles than usual under my eyes. Also, our mattress is 10 years old and while it's not sagging or anything, it's probably not as supportive as it used to be, and my back has been uncomfortable the past 2 days. I think my body just isn't used to spending that much time lying down!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, everyone!

Got my weights in today at the gym even though I didn't get there until 10 AM. Soooo hot.

The cardio room on the other hand was virtually empty and fairly cool, so I did a 30 minute run after the weights.

I think I might do my cardio run (1.5 hour) outside tomorrow if it is pretty like today. Okay...maybe that's an excuse to avoid the stairmaster and elliptical...and the hot gym...but I'm still probably going to do it.

Hi, 40-somethings! I'm 47 and new to 3FC. Just joined today. I'm trying to set mini goals and looking forward to the rewards that go with them. My first is to be into a nice size 18 by August 21. I'm going to a concert that day would love to me a little more comfortable in the chair for the concert than I am now at a 20-22.
I'm married, have 3 grown kids (233/21/19) and 9 cats/kittens. I retired from the Navy after 20 years in 1998 and now work as a civilian Marine (that's what they call us) and live in Virginia.
I'm excited about this site and the new friends I'm hoping to make on here.
Can someone tell me who to get those neat little trackers that you have at the end of your emails?
Thanks.........................

Welcome poofie!
What did you do in the Navy? I was in from 1980 to 1988. I was an AC.
You can get a tracker after 29 days and 20 posts. An option will show up on your CP to edit Signature. Then you can go in and create one.
