Morning all!

This will be a quick post as I have VBS meeting in a few mintues, then I'm headed to the mountains for the weekend.

Yesterday was great for me as far as eating goes--I'm packing SB legal snack foods for the weekend trip, so unless we start drinking we should be ok (if we get into the margaritas, well then it will be a bad weekend food wise--both of us want to be good so we're gonna try. . .).

Monet--I FINALLY got to fix the baby artichokes last night--boy were they tasty and so tender. I still have a bunch so will fix them next week.

BOB--you need some of that DAMITOL! I know why you fell off the ciggy wagon--it's because you were always healthy when you were smoking!!!!! After you are in enough pain you'll try ANYTHING! But it didn't help so make them go away again.

Deb--Don't you just love unexpected complany? Of course if Eli was expecting her. . .

Talitha--The next time I come I'll see if you can give you a shout. I'd love to meet you and Selah!

OK got to get dressed and go. I probably won't be back on the board until Tursday, so have a great OP weekend everyone!

Monet: I learned to do cake decorating on the job.......I'm sure you could run circles around me.....an actual certified Wilton decorator! That's awesome!

I know you will be at work on Monday so we won't hear from you..... Have a great first day on the new job!

Quickie- I'm having a yard sale- just popping in to say hello. I'm getting rid of all my old and too big clothes. I'm at a 16 now and I even put my 18's for sale. So no going back! Tomorrow is our family reunion, so I probably won't be legal BUT I will be exercising. I'll try not to make a pig of myself.

BOB- Antwone Fisher is pretty good.

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!

Just got back from taking Kate to the beauty parlor..it's an all day affair....especially when she gets a perm!

MONET...tell Tom to be sure to see THE PIANIST....I know he will like it..Yes, I've been bad, and I can't even tell you why I smoked those 18 month old ciggys!!!!
I was so close to two years BUT I'll do it again...I'm determined! The only bad thing is waiting the two -three weeks it takes to get the patches from our drug company! But I'll wait...$15 for three months supply compared to $49.99 per month if you buy at the drug store!
Hope your orientation went well.

SUSAN...You hit THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!!! You've heard me say it so many times in the past! Did you read??? Talitha is on the other side of Hotlanta...another subject for the SPA MONET PROJECT!

I watched ANTWONE FISHER and GOOD FENCES and they were both good, but no comparison to THE PIANIST...I still have three more for this evening...I'll let you know...

Gotta scoot...

BOB

I am back from orientation. It was not too bad, and the trainer got done two hours early. We would have been out of there then, but the store manager from that store likes to come talk to the new hires. After spending 4 hours hearing about how great the company is to work for, and getting all warm and fuzzy about working there, he undid it all in less than five minutes. I half expected the one guy who was hired for that store to quit! I was thankful I did not work at that store!

Now I have to get everything worked out to start work at 6 am on Monday. I have to figure out how long it will take me to get ready, and get over there. Traffic is often bad at that time of morning too.

I took a dip in the pool almost as soon as I got home. Ah! The water is much warmer than it was last weekend, when poor Fillise was turning blue in it. It is still refreshingly cold though!

TALITHA: I will keep an eye on the agave shelf at Harry's Gwinnett. If you are going to be over in this direction, let me know. I could sell you one of my bottles. I still have a 10# pail of blue agave I got before St. Pat's brewing supplies in Texas ran out. If you are anxious to try it, let me know. You could come over for lunch or something.

BOB: I think Tom has seen the Pianist. I will ask him. He is quite a movie buff, and watches as many as he can. He even went to the theater to see Matrix 2 and Xmen 2. I can relate to your smoking situation. I quit about 27 years ago, and for a few years, I struggled here and there with it. Not sure what made me finally quit, but now cigarette smoke makes me really ill! When I quit at first, I smoked two packs a day. I quit cold turkey by replacing cigarettes with ice tea. It worked well for me. I had something to stick in my mouth, and I lost about 20 pounds at the same time!

JANE: I will probably get on here as soon as I get home on Monday! Thanks for the well wishes. I am not too anxious...I have worked for this company before and like it. I worry about silly things..like will I be able to get in when I get there? Where do they store the bakery hair nets? Will I have to take the trash out? Silly stuff!

DEB: Unexpected company! How fun! And the timing was good! You had your house all cleaned up! She will think you always keep it like that! Surely they would not let her into the country if she was sick, or exposed to SARS?

HEART: What a great feeling to be able to sell all those old clothes! Hooray for you!

JEC: You can find a lot of cool ideas for cakes and instruction too, in Wilton's yearbooks. They sell them anywhere they sell Wilton products. Your kids sound like fun! Just get them lots of art supplies, and take books out of the library for them, and they will find ways to amuse themselves, with out driving you nuts!

Just a little snippet of happiness that I wanted to share with you all, since I have no hesitation about posting my ills I had an urge for a nice hot bath last night, which I don't do often because at my size, the tub is kind of small. Well, I may not be able to see where those fifteen lbs were, but my tub was a little roomier!!! It felt wonderful!! I can't wait to see what the next few weeks will bring, I have real hope for fitting my airplane seat come mid July!!!!

Hey Gals!

This is a quickie as I JUST got home from what's been a VERY LONG and TIRING day today.

We will be with ELI'S sister all day tomorrow til she leaves, seems like she's planning to leave tomorrow evening so this was a short visit-she just got home as well after being out all day long.

I will be on the board bright eyed and bushy tailed on Monday morning to start the new board. I doubt I'll get one before than to post, but if I can, I surely will

{{{HUGS}}}

Good Morning everyone!

I just got an email from YELLOW ROSE. She said she had not turned on her computer for a week! It was a good thing she did, since she had an email from her SIL who is coming to visit. She is arriving a couple days early! OOPS! Sounds like Deb's situation with her SIL! Lyn said to tell eveyrone hi, and that she is going to post her apricot jam recipe on the board as soon as she can, probably early next week.

I am still struggling with staying on program. Yesterday, we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner, and I indulged in a few chips and salsa. Earlier, I had some potato chips with lunch. Its been a while since I felt totally together in this area. Not sure how working will effect it. I may be just too tired to eat for a while. You stand up, and move constantly for the whole time, which is a bit different than my rather sendentary life that I am used to.

This morning I had a bowl of Uncle Sam cereal...yuck! That stuff is gross! And to top it off, the third ingredient is barley malt, which has a higher GI than glucose! Don't think I will be repeating that. Is that stuff considered legal? I thought it was, but now I wonder....

Hope everyone is doing well....

Hi All

Monet - Good luck on your first day at your new job tomorrow. Don't forget to take some legal snacks with you so you don't get too hungry. That's the time that we are most likely to slip up, at least it is for me. You asked me about how I cooked liver the other day and I don't think I have been back on the board since. I just fry it in a little oil. I always look for the very thin sliced so that it cooks quickly. I usually have trouble cooking it if it is too thick as the outside gets dried out before the inside gets done. I usually fry an onion in the pan before cooking the liver. I like it with bacon too. I thought about doing it with bacon the other day then thought of all that fat and I have been trying to cut down on my fat intake so went for the onion instead. I like to eat it with kale, or sometimes I will have it with green peas.

BOB - I saw The Pianist at the theatre a few weeks ago and I thought it was a great movie. I was riveted to my seat for the duration which is unusual for me as I am usually a fidget when I have to sit for any length of time.

Arcayne - WTG on getting in the tub. At the rate you are going you will definitely fit in that airline seat in July. Just keep on doing what you are doing.

Well, I really went off plan on Friday. I was at a party and got into the nachos, a few pretzels, crackers (not ww), then had choc cake and tiramisu for dessert. I also had a small piece of barbecued salmon and one hamburger. I did eat the hamburger without any bread - really didn't fancy eating those white buns anyway. Oh, and a couple of small glasses of red wine. Anyway I really enjoyed the feast and knew that I would be up on the scale the next day. Luckily I was only up one pound to 198 and I got back op on Saturday and this morning I was down to 196.5 which was the same as my low of a few weeks ago. Just hoping that it stays down.

Bye for now.

Marie.
