Hey Karen I like that name change idea! Sorry to hear about Norman it is CRIMINAL when people abandon animals.

Susan: Congratulations!!!

Mel or Karen: hey I was trying to get into the CPB board yesterday and they have changed the password. Have you heard anything about it?

I am still busy unfortunately. I had my finance exam on Saturday which was ok but hard and unfortunately we lost our soccer game on a questionable goal. The team was not impressed and we ran our butts off as well! Anyway Ray (my husband) was nominated to coach our team this year and so he is going full swing in organising things at the moment. That and I have another project due tonight and another exam on Saturday. At least I did all my cooking on the weekend so I have a week of clean eats to keep my energy levels up! I hate stress.....

Happy Sunday Everyone!

It's in the 50's here and will probably only last one day. But I'll take any chance to get outside and get some fresh air. The winter weather has really gotten on my nerves this year with all the snow. Hubby and I went to the park and walked for over an hour. Seems a lot of people had the same idea, as the parking lot was quite full of cars. Spring is just around the corner and it can’t come soon enough for me.

I love reading all the posts as well and wish I had joined in sooner. Oh well, better later than never…

Deb - loved reading your post. Reading about other’s success gives me more incentive to stick to my goals. I can really relate to your body issues. My breasts are major problem for me right now. When I was young they saluted the sun and now, well looking at the floor has become their main occupation. I am so paranoid about it that the only time they come out of a bra is when I shower and moisturize.

Susan - Congratulations on your graduation.

Tidey - You have my sympathy. I really hate canned vegetables and abhor when a meal is less than appetizing.

Mrs. Jim – Hope something can be done about Norman. It’s sad how some people tend to think of animals as toys rather than feeling beings with needs.

Well off to cook Sunday dinner, which just happens to be Beef Stew.

Sel

And...uh... I can relate!

Man, my shins are killing me! Yesterday, I walked outside for the first time in a long time. Treadmill and outside walking are way different, that's for sure.

Hola, everyone!

Default Day before day1

I did free day like I've never done before, and oh am I going to be sorry tomorrow! I had pizza for the first time in over 1 1/2 years, cookies, chips... stuff I didn't even "used to" eat. Hopefully, it'll be another year and a half before I do this again. My fingers are already swollen.

Laura- I had to take off my glasses and clean them to make sure I really read that you were doing cardio . I see you are spreading chocolate across the country. One of those stores opened in the Exton Mall, but so far I've resisted entering.

Deb- Welcome aboard! Your success and dedication are phenominal! Wow! You Meg, and Karen (I hope I didn't leave anyone out) get the blue ribbons. Loved the California Raisin analogy, some of that going on here too. Makes me crazy.

Tidey- That meal sounded revolting. I would have been mad too. Nothing like liking forward to letting go and then not even wanting it.

Karen- Don't blame you for being mad- that is criminal. Maybe Daddy lost his job or assets? but that still doesn't explain why the kid doesn't even care about Norman. BTW, I like the name change idea.

Jamie- I can certainly empathize about the shoulders. I seem to alternate every 8 weeks or so. Shoulders going great, looking good, working hard, then BAM! Pull, microtear, tendonitis, something. Then rehab. and more rehab. Then start all over again. One thing I've learned is that I can never do Arnold presses, or presses behind my head. That causes problems every time.

JC- Pam changed the password after all the hoopla last week; I'm assuming just to keep me and Karen out, so I don't expect her to email me a new password. You are probably still in her good graces, so you might email and ask her. I'm guessing that she as well as Zilla read through the posts here.
Well, good Sunday night all; Tomorrow its CARDIO early before bright, then bi's and tri's. And back to SUPER CLEAN eating

Ladies I ate like CRAP today and its gotta stop! I know it was Mom's bday and all but did I have to eat TWO pieces of cake AND a cup or so of mac and cheese AND a couple pieces of bread?? grrrr

Tomorrow is another day, as Scarlett would say...let the Bootcamp BEGIN!

Going to do four days of sloooowwwww weight work, one day of Taebo.

Let's ROCK!

Re: crap: I ate a Milky Way Dark bar last night and it was delicious! Also had 2 glasses of wine. Feels good to confess!

Mel- Actually it's a nice change but I wish my gym was a bit closer; I drive 15-20 minutes to get there. What with only 2 days of brief lifting I just didn't feel exerted enough, so the cardio helps ease my conscience. And after over 7 months without cardio, I can still pound out 30 minutes of "Fatburner Plus" intervals, level 7 without any problems.

Nice side effect of the slow lifting program; my shoulders are not tender one bit.

I'm visiting my sister in Atlanta later this week and she has promised to get me a pass to a World Gym nearby. Of course she'll probably "forget" and then lecture me on why I should just stay home with her instead (and drink). Wish me luck!

Susan- congrats on graduating!

Karen- we're horse people too (dd10 is, anyway; I'm skeered of the beasts) so can empathize about Norman.

Hi to all! Make it a great week.

hey hey everyone sooo busy in this forum isn't it....!

i had some trouble getting logged in from my dads computer but now i'm on my computer and am caught up on everything or at least somewhat....

karen unfortunately i know exactly what you're talking about re horses being abandoned by teenagers i rode for years and my parents bought me a beautiful horse that i loved more than life itself. really...and then when i was 16 i got interested in boys....changed stables away from my friends and showjumping and sort of faded away....my mom ended up giving up viking....my horse to the lady who owned the stable. really breaks my heart to this day. teenagers suck....kills me to look at pictures from then...he wasn't abandoned but stilllll a lot of teenagers go through that maybe...

blah

that was ten years ago and now i kick myself everyday. and today in addition to kicking myself i had a good lbwo, eating good too.
i'm still trying to catch up with all these posts but maybe changing the name of the forum would be good...i only know for myself i was a little intimidated to venture into this area because of the BFL part...

YAY! We just heard that Jim got the job as bassist!! I bet he'll be on the website soon...it's at www.souledout.net.

This morning/afternoon we went to visit Norman and the other horses with a big bag of apples and carrots. He is such a lovely boy - gorgeous and talented. Maybe the parents *did* get laid off or suffer some monetary loss; however, they could have easily leased him out to help pay the bills, or move him to an outdoor paddock rather than a stall (less expensive) until they sold him. Since none of the girls were there (Sunday is their day off; the stable owner lives on the premises and has a staff that is always there) we didn't feel we could take Norman out - the grass was so lush and green today that it would have been a lovely change for him to graze for a bit. We took Freight and Kotari out (three of the lesson horses) instead so they could have a nice graze while we groomed them.

Ebe - I think that's what happened here - the girl is all wrapped up in her boyfriend, and spoiled rotten to boot

Anyway - just checkin' in - gotta get ready for tomorrow!

See y'all later...I'll start a new thread right now - I'm going to change the name of the weekly threads to just "Bodybuilding" for now...

Good morning everyone! Welcome to day 1! No more crap via eating! Are we going to discuss our nutrition plan?

Mrs. J, I'll have to email you about the horses, I too have a great interest in them. Got my first pony at age 3 and never looked back. Dad and I raised Quarter Horses for a lotta years, raced them, had a great time and lots of winners. Since Dad passed, we had to give up the horses and I miss them terribly!

Bought some new lifting gloves yesterday, Harbinger. Should last longer then my previous pair.

Default Goodmorning,

Congratulations to Mr. Jim - Rock-n-Roll!!!!

Chest and tri workout is complete.

On tap for today, clean eating and a mile cardio around the neighborhood this evening after work.

My antidote to freeday this weekend - I spent 1/3 of the day kayaking. Didn't even pack a snack. I can tell some nice differences since taking the boat out last. First, I fit into it better, my lifejacket is looser. I spent some time working on my paddling technique and really concentrated on using my stomach and back muscles to paddle instead of just arms and shoulders. AND, I made the day after freeday 5 meals instead of 6. I think the change to 5 meals on day after free day makes sense for me.
