NP VickieLou , good to see you
lovemylife, nice goals
Well eating right paid off and I dropped 4.3lbs of gunk. No crazy, uncontrollable snacking yesterday. Only a cup of sea salt popcorn 37 calories because I wanted something salty and that was hard to stop. Hope today is a repeat with my food
My month of "just trying to survive life" cost me 4 lbs. I'm starting September 4 lbs higher than I started August. My depression is (at the moment) better. My stress level is (at the moment) better. Things are a long way from good, but I've crawled out of my hole. Ready to refocus.
Just tried a new workout this morning, where the movements are much slower and controlled and much of the routine is spent with your arms up in the air. I thought I had strong arms but clearly, I do not!
Hope everyone had a great first day of the month. My little guy was sick on Monday, seemed to be better yesterday so sent him off to daycare, only to get a call quite literally 15 minutes before I was going to leave to pick him up anyway, that he suddenly had a fever and had thrown up. He also has a ridiculous cough and such a hoarse voice. Poor thing. Anyway, the doctor said it's nothing serious, and we just have to ride it out. All of that has caused him to be a bit clingy and as a result I didn't get to finish making my dinner or eating it until later than usual. Happily, I'm only up 0.1 lb, so I'm just counting it as a daily fluctuation.
Hoping that tomorrow we can get back to normal, but for tonight, I'm hoping to get to the gym after Peanut's bedtime. I'm itching to pump some weight. Who knew?!
Kris, keep your head up, there will be more better(s) I think I'm ready to refocus, so I'm trying
Curvy, I sure hope it's a better month than the last 3 ...
Thanks Martine I hope I can keep this streak going and get out of this decade once and for all LOL Martine, our Pastor had us do an exercise where we kept our arms straight up in the air. It is much harder than one would think. Our arms are strong, it's the shoulders that got tired
stillmeadow, great motivation for a birthday gift to self. GO YOU! I want to be at goal weight by my birthday next April. If I keep my head out of the flour/sugar I can do it
Kukkie sorry to hear Peanut was feeling well. Hope he's 100% soon. Oh and Rissa is 11 and she's still clingy Hope you got to the gym
I had a lot of buttered popcorn yesterday at the movies so thank goodness the scale was only up .9. My rings are rolling around my finger now. So that's a plus, and today has been totally OP.
Kris ~ sending you a and wishes for a better month for you. Be kind to yourself. xx
Martine ~ I'd hate to see me try out that workout. Two loads of washing pegged on the line and my arm muscles are protesting!
Curvy ~ Love seeing your inspiring avatar when I click on the thread! Yes indeed - lets have a great month!!
Rennie ~ looser rings sounds encouraging! Yay! Great to have the evidence something's clicking right there in front of you.
(I'm enjoying having looser pants!) Hope you enjoyed the movie.
Stillmeadow ~ you can totally meet your birthday goal! <--- dancing in anticipation.
Kukkie ~ hope your little man is recovered and that you managed to get in that workout.
lovemylife ~ a back atcha! All the best for achieving your goals in September!
Thanks Sunshinie ... Yay for you on the looser pants
Well I just had dinner. Stir fry chicken with onion, Colby Jack cheese because that's all I had and salsa. I hope the sodium doesn't do me in with this one. Sunshinie and lovemylife this is another test with the rings. I always know how much damage is done the next morning by the tightness of the rings when taking them off. it's not too too bad
Rennie, thank you for your encouragement! No one (except my WW group) knows I'm on this journey, so it's extra encouraging to hear from a fellow traveler.
And thanks for the "anticipation dance" Sunshinie!
Still on plan for the day, and I have a mini banana pudding planned for later: Jello SF vanilla + 4 reduced fat Nilla wafers + banana. Good, but light years away from my Mom's homemade!
@stillmeadow:The inspiration found here is phenomenal!
@Sunshinie: Thanks for your comment about my avatar. I wish that was me in it, but alas, all I can do is work my body into the best shape possible and be awe inspired by the beautiful and wickedly talented Misty Copeland!
@Rennie: Geez, all my months look the same but the issues are squarely on my shoulders. That definition of insanity--doing the same thing but expecting different results? That's me for last year or so . Know that I appreciate all your support
