Hi,
It was a beautiful day here. It's suppose to rain this weekend. I won't complain since we need it.

I got a guinea pig for my class at school. The funny thing is Pat wants me to bring it homein the evenings and on the weekends so it doesn't get lonely or bored. His name is Pokey! (Pat named him) I think it's so funny. My class loved it. The nice thing is the Science Center where I got it at is with the district and they will provide the food and all of the shavings for it. I just have to go pick it up. I am going to use different shavings because the cedar ones are about to kill me...... because of my allergies.

Amy has a sick youngin today. The poor thing, she gets one well and then one gets sick. I don't know how my mom did it with 5 kids. Someone was always sick too I guess. Amy is a great mom!

Tina, sorry that you had to wait a long time with your mom at the doctors. I hope she gets a good report. HOpe you are feeling better!!!

Maureen, you are doing so well!!!! Keep it up. I honestly know nothing about Canada, is Edmonton a big city?

Tammy, I wish there was something they could do so you were not in so much pain!!!! I'm sure the whirlpool will feel good.

I stayed the same this week. Yuck!!!!!! I was hoping for a loss!!!

good morning everyone

Well another day, and I'm still motivated(must be sicK)-Susan you said you didn't know anything about canada, you know i've often thought it would be nice if we all just posted a blurb of the places we live in. Anyway just a thought. Edmonton has a little over 1 million people as of 2005. i'm not sure, but i think we're the most northern big city in north america(my geography's the pits, so don't quote me)-alberta is an oil rich province and we make people like MIMI jealous(she's in Ontario) just kidding mimi!! edmonton is also known(or was-i'm not sure if minnesota beat us) for having the biggest shopping mall in the world-West Edmonton Mall-isn't it just wonderful to be known for that!!! anyway we're a fairly good sized city.

Hope everyone has a great day-

til later

maureen

Susan, that's funny about Pat and Pokey!! That's great that everything will be provided for you.

Poor Amy! Another one sick.

Tina, sometimes I get frustrated having to wait for my doctor, but he is so thorough when he is with a patient. I should appreciate that about him. Hope your mother gets good test results, etc.

Wow Maureen! I didn't realize the Edmonton was that big! Maybe we should all come to see you and go to the mall!!

Versailles is a small town, less than 2500 people. It's known for Poultry Days! Big festival in June. Parade, games, fun, chicken.

Well the infermery in once again closed.

No more sickies are allowed to walk in my house. I had the stomach bug the worst of all of us. A really hard way to have a loss of 6 lbs. Yuck! I still don't have any energy but have to get out of the house. At least we were on Spring Break and the kids didn't miss any school.

Tomorrow we are going to see "Joseph and the Technocolored Dreamcoat". I saw it a couple of years ago with Sue and our older brother in Dallas. It should be fun. At least we will have one day af fun before the kids go back to school on Monday.

The band received a 1 rating and qualified for the state concert band contest the end of April!! Woo Hoo!!! I am so glad that I was there. Too cool! My back didn't do as bad as I thought it might. I didn't overdo it, so that helped.
Our choir received a 2 rating, and they were thrilled. That is the first time that the choir has gone to contest in years.

When we got back to town, a police car, fire truck, and ambulance were waiting to parade the buses through town. I knew they would be there because I had talked to the mom who called them. The kids didn't know, so that was so awesome seeing them get excited again!

Amy, so glad to hear that everyone is well! Hope your energy comes back soon. Enjoy Joseph!!!

This has been a long day. I'm heading to bed.

Hi all,
Amy, I'm so glad everyone in your house is well.

Mimi, we haven't heard from you in ages. I hope you are well by now. Please post.
Sis, I hope you keep on liking Curves.

Guess what!!!???!!! I got up enough courage and went to the sports club and used my one-month gift certificate. I'm a member thru April 15th. I can't go to the Aqua classes next week because they are at 8:30 a.m. and I'm busy. However, I'll go later and use the treadmills, which are much bigger and fancier than mine.

Susan, how are you feeling? Are your allergies bothering you? How is the guinea pig?
Tammy, I'm glad the band did so good. Glad you didn't over-do and hurt your back too much. Your Y is a life saver for you.
Maureen, keep up that motivation!

Everyone have a good rest of the weekend.

Tina, good for you on going to the sports club! I'm sure you will enjoy it. When you get the chance, try the aqua classes. It is so much fun! I'll miss my class tomorrow night because I have a meeting. bummer.

Bob left yesterday morning for Florida. He went to his brother's house in Tampa. He called a while ago to say that he made it safe and sound. His younger brother just moved down there a few weeks ago, so Bob took some things down to him. Not sure what the deal is there. His wife and son (our of high school) are still living up here. None of them are working right now. Interesting to say the least. lol

I slept in this morning. Finally got up about 10:45! Missed both church services. I think I was more worn out from the trip yesterday than I thought. I'll be bright eyed and bush tailed for school tomorrow. Yea right!!

Hi everyone I am still alive and kicking. I am finally feeling better after almost three weeks of feeling crappy.
I have thought about taking that extra day off and decided to take every other Monday after I work the weekend, The rest of the ladies take it in conjunction with their weekend off but I don't know I just am getting too old to work 12 straight all the time. Having regular Mondays off will give me a chance to schedule dr.s dentists car repairs etc.
I have been eating like wild and am back to my post Christmas weight, it is surprising how easy it is to fall back in to the fAST food routine. Today I resolved to get myself back into it, no more excuses I want to get below 200 this year, so I have got to get busy.
Dan is off on a NYcity trip in 2 weeks. Mike went when he was in grade 12 too, and loved it. too bad the prices have gone up so much that they are staying in Jersey instead of just a block away from times square. He will have fun though as he is going with his best friend Matt.
It sounds likje everyone on the site has been battling those late winter blahs
Please excuse any typos, Mike has a zboard set up on the computer and typing on it is a challenge.
Got to run.
Miss you all,
Mimi

Mimi, I think that's a good idea about your Monday plans. I agree to the fast food routine. It's too convenient. I'm sure Dan will have a wonderful time in NY. I've never been there. We miss you too!!!

Hi,

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday. It's been raining all weekend and we needed it. I think we've gotten close to 3 inches.

I went with Pat to play last night in Fort Worth. It's right next to the building that was imploded yesterday morning. It was so cool seeing it all. Needless to say, I'm a little tired today.

My allergies are killing me. My eyes have been so watery that I look like I'm crying. I go to the ENT on Wednesday so I'm sure he is going to say allergy testing. Not like I don't know I'm allergic to everything.

The guinea pig is doing well. Right now he is on my shoulder sleeping in the hood of my jacket. The cats are a little curious about it.

Tina, are you getting any rain? I'm so happy that you are going to try the health club membership. Where are you going?

Tammy, how exciting about the entrance back into town. I know the kids were thrilled. Take care of yourself.

Mimi, I think it's a great idea to take off that extra day. You certainly deserve it. I hope Dan has a great time in NY.

Amy, hope the play is good today! I know the kids will love it. I know we did!

Well, I'm off to do some laundry and try to stay awake until bed time.

Susan, I hope the doctor can help you with the allergies. You sound like you are miserable! Funny about the guinea pig on your shoulder. As big as Kramer is, he sometimes crawls up while I'm reading and does the same thing. lol Isn't it fun to do laundry? not. Actually, it's not so bad now for me since it's on the same floor that I'm on.

Well, I need to get ready for school.

WHERE IS EVERYONE?????
We have a 2 hour delay this morning. There is a little bit of snow here at the new house. On the new last night they said possible freezing rain this morning, so maybe that hit south of here. Ok with me!! When the kids get to school now, they'll go straight to lunch. Tough morning!!

Kramer just crawled back into his bed, so maybe I'll go crawl back into mine.

Happy Spring!!!
Sorry I've been out of pocket.....lots of little stuff going on. And, I'm not able to make the scales move in the right direction. That's my fault, of course.
Tammy, enjoy your hours off. Kramer is one smart dog, going back to bed where it's warm.

I woke up to cool weather, myself. It was a nice warm 82 yesterday. right now it's 53. Brrrr....
We didn't get much rain.....not like Susan got.

How is everyone doing???? Please get on the computer and post something!

Tim left for school about 9:00, his first class was 9:35. He called me about 9:20 to tell me the roads were awful. I checked the answering machine, and I had a message saying the elementary is closed today. They probably decided too late to cancel the high school. Anyway, I told Tim not to go to the high school, just to go on to Greenville for his college classes. When the HS has a delay, if the post-secondary students don't show up, they assume they are at college. He was going to have band at the HS, and then head for the college classes, so I figured it wouldn't hurt him to miss. He's supposed to have an English class at the HS later. If the roads get any worse, I told him just to come home. No sense on the kids being out on this. I can't believe how much snow we have received since he left at 9:00.

Doing laundry, messing on computer, and I need to finish grading a set of papers that I didn't do last night.

Tina, I feel like the scales are never going to move in the right direction for me again. Hope we are both wrong. I think it's in the lower 20's right now, so 53 sounds warm to me. lol

OUR PATIO DOOR IS ON!!!!!!!!!!!! The guy came yesterday while we were at school. Hope it's the right one. Bob won't be back until Sunday, so we'll find out then.

Well let me start....... my new boy got moved out of my class all but 2 periods. This is a good thing.

Second.... is everyone sitting down??? My young lady head butted me again today and broke my nose!!! Blood started pouring out... I was so scared. Luckily the assistant principal was in there, I had sent my kids and aide out of the room prior to it. I was sitting on the floor with her trying to get her calm and the assistant principal opened the door and I looked up and WHACK!!!!! It hurts like H**L!!!! I went to one of those walk in clinics. Now I have to go to an ENT that takes workers comp. Which is already a pain in the butt!!!! My face is starting to swell. Should be interesting tomorrow to see if I have black and blue eyes!
