It's Friday again! I'm definitely ready for a fun weekend.
Tammy, I thought about you today. I hope you made it through the funeral okay.
I miss seeing some of my cousins. After my mother had her stroke and then my aunt died, we just don't keep up with each other, except for Christmas cards.
Mimi, how are you doing? Have you pretty much gotten over your "yuck"??
Maureen, I'm so proud of you going to the Y.
Jody, where are you girl?????
Sis, how are the wedding plans coming? Are you still enjoying Curves?
Amy, you are a quiet one.
Susan, how was your week of school? I know you have your dad on your mind all the time. Has he started any experimental medicines?
It's great weather here. I've been OP this week. I'll weigh in the morning and hope for a loss. Breakfasts are so boring. If I don't eat oatmeal, I try for something with very few pts. I'm trying to lower my cholesterol without drugs. I think when I get 10 pounds off, that should help a lot.
Everyone have a great weekend. Post what you're up to.
Tina, I thought the funeral was very nice. Two of the grandchildren (both in their 20's) got up to talk about Aunt Louise. Oh my. I had an awful time when they were talking. So many memories. Visiting with cousins was nice. It's sad that the only time we see each other any more is at funerals.
Class at the Y was fun this morning. This week was water aerobics. Next week is the hard stuff (kickboxing, pilates, etc.). I won't be there because I'll be chaperoning the band and choir to contest.
I'm hoping with keeping track of the points, doing the classes, and my walking, that there will be a loss on the scales. I go back to the rheumatolgist on April 4, and I'm hoping to be down some then. She'll be thrilled that I'm doing the stuff at the Y, at least the water classes.
Tina, oatmeal sounds good right now! Maybe that's what I'll have for supper.
Just got back from Six Flags. Pat's band played out there today. It was fun and I rode the log ride and then the Merry go Round. I was pretty wild, huh? It was hot out there!!!
Tammy, I'm glad you got to visit with your cousins was nice. I'm sure that it was hard hearing all of those memories. Yes, I think your doc. will be pleased with all of your exercise.
Tina, I just don't like oatmeal!!! Grits, yes! I am taking cinnamon for my cholestral and blood sugar (it's not high but it's suppose to work on it) I love cinnamon but have it in a pill form. I've read it in several articles.
Amy is busy with girl scouts. She says "hi" to everyone. Once things slow down for her she will post. She is one busy chickadee!
I've been on spring break this week. Pat took the week off and we did stuff around here. Like getting the gardens ready to plant!!!! I really would like another week off!!!!!
Ooooh, Six Flags! Did you hear that they closed down Astroworld! Yes, that was so terrible. I think they just wanted to sell the land to make more than they were making having the amusement park. Booooo
I love the log ride and the roller coaster, Judge Roy Bean Scream and that Mine roller coaster. That brings back so many happy memories of us going when David was young.
Our schools are just beginning Spring Break. We thought about going down to Galveston (Island) today or tomorrow until we remembered that everyone would be going.
Tammy, I'm glad you got to see everyone at the funeral.
Hi all. We are having beautiful weather again today!
Mimi, hope you're feeling better now.
Tammy, sorry to hear about your aunt... ((((hugs)))
Susan, I'll keep you and your dad in my prayers.
Maureen, congrats on not smoking! You can do it!
Tina, yep I am still loving curves. According to my scales I lost 4 lbs this week. Time will tell. Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL week end. Take care all...... Sis
just got back in from the Y and i feel super. mimi, hope you're feeling better. you know when my scale wouldn't move at home , i thought it was broken, now that it's moving i think it's broken LOL
anyway hope you all have a great day - snowing here but sunny - tina, susan do you want me to mail you some UPS???
Hi,
Hope everyone is doing well today! I was moving a little slow and Pat said "let's go walk the dogs." We walked about 2or 3 miles. We've been doing everyday, and I felt better.
Sis, I'm glad Curves is working for you. Thanks for keeping my dad in your prayers. That means a whole lot to me!
Tina, I get sick on roller coasters. Pat loves them. I think all of the parks now in Texas are Six Flags except Seaworld. No way about going to the coast this week! That would be horrible!
Maureen, snow and sun!!! I'm glad you like the Y. Are you doing the weights or classes?
Mimi, feeling better yet?
Tammy, are you on spring break?
Amy and I think so much alike. I asked her if she would get the forms for my dad a handicapp parking spot. She said "I'm already working on it." There are days that he could really use it. She took the form to my folks to fill out and then she is picking it up and taking it to the doctor on Monday. It's great to come from such a great family!!! We really support each other!
I'm weighing in on Wednesday morning. So I'll get that last weigh in before St. Patrick's day. Thursday will be my 21st anniversary! Hard to believe that we've been married that long!
I always love the log ride when we go to Kings Island (close to Cincinnati). I think it's my favorite thing there. I'm not much of a roller coaster fan, so that one is safe. lol
Sis, congrats on the 4 pounds!
Maureen, that's funny about you and your scales being broken!
We don't have spring break until a couple days before and a couple days after Easter. Tim is on spring break this week from his college classes.
Happy 21st Anniversary a little early!! Our 25th is in June when we're at Disney.
Sorry I have been so quiet. As Sue has told you I have been the Super Girl Scout Leader lately. My girls are getting ready for their first camp out and also finishing up their requirements for Bridging to juniors.
All this on top of getting certified in Camp leadership, CPR and First Aid. As well as finishing up cookie paperwork. I sometimes think I had less work when I worked at the accounting firm doing tax returns.
It is all worth every minute of it when I see my 17 girls coming running accross the campus at school excited about our meetings.
Our Spring Break starts this week and I am so glad. I am ready to have the kids home.
Ya'll have a safe week.
By the way, Sue - MY daddy walks on water and he says 'Amy is my favorite" and NO he wasn't getting the 9 year twins mixed up.
Hey Amy!! Glad to hear from you. LOL to camping. Sorry, but my experiences were not the best. Hope yours are better. Of course, my first campout was with a dozen 1st grade boys!! We had a great first day, then it rained, and it rained, and it rained. Did I mention that it rained????? We had little rivers running through our tents. Oh my.
That's great that you have so many girls that are involved. Tim's troop has about 20 boys right now. He isn't a boy anymore. He has his Eagle and is 18, so he is considered an adult. HA!
Actually Amy, your dad told me that I'm his favorite!!!
I came home from school today and slept for an hour. Got up, ate supper, fell asleep again for 2 1/2 hours. I knew this morning by 8:30 that I should have called for a sub. Some day I'll learn.
Please excuse Amy!!! she got dropped on her head when she was little and at times makes stuff up!!!! Because WE ALL KNOW I'M DADDY'S FAVORITE!!!!!! and HE LOVES ME MORE!!!! As ya'll can tell Amy and I are both Daddy girls'. We are both carbon copies of him!
Tammy, you crack me up! I thought you could be Daddy's favorite A camping trip with a dozen first grade boys, what an experience! You must have needed that nap!
Amy, Thank you for taking care of that form for Daddy!!! It's funny how much we think alike.
Tina, did you get any rain? We had a storm blow through last night for about a second.
Maureen, how many days have you been smoke free? You are doing great!!!
Hi all,
How is everyone doing?
Tammy, I hope you don't overdo it at the Y. I know it's easy to keep on keeping on but then we have to pay the price. (that was a weird sentence!)
Even though I don't have "That Time of Month" anymore, sometimes it feels like it must be then. I've had the blahs and an upset stomach. Yuck!
I just don't seem to get anywhere weight-wise. I'll lose 3 pounds and then gain them back. It's very frustrating. Thanks for letting me vent!
just thought i'd pop in & say hi. Tina, take your own advise and just keep on keeping on, the weight will go. i'm still not smoking and i weighed myself this am & i'm down 1 lb(that's on my scale) i'm hoping to go to the Y sometime today and i'll weigh myself on their scale. anyway, all is well in beautiful downtown edmonton, and i sure hope everyone's doing great wherever you are
It's a beautiful day here, too. I spent all morning in the cardiologist's office. I took Mother for her check-up. That dr. is very, very good. Unfortunately, that means you have to wait a very long time to see him. (I take Mother back next month for an echo and bloodwork.)
Hi all! Just a quick note because this chair hurts. I didn't go to school today and I'm out tomorrow. Lower back pain. This is the worst it has been in ages. I'm going to the Y later to sit in the whirlpool. I don't like pain.
