Good Morning everyone
Well I managed to walk everyday to work-I don't know how many miles this is but it's 22 city blocks-it takes me about 30 to 35 min depending on the lights.

I'm on day 33 of being a recovering nicotine addict!! I think I've been concentrating more on that problem than the weight problem. I have to get back to that.

Next saturday I'm flying to Ottawa to visit family. I haven't been there for almost 3 years so I'm really looking forward to going. I also haven't had any vacation time since then either so I'm ready for some R&R. I'll be there until Jan 31 so I probably won't be able to post too often. I know the inlaws have a comp but I'll be staying with my parents & they don't.

My oldest son & his wife are up for the weekend from Calgary(they weren't able to make it up for Christmas)-they head back today. I wasn't able to visit too much because I had to go into the office this weekend. I have to go in at 1PM today also for about an hour. Oh well

Hope you all have a good week & I'm going to try my best to stay on some kind of program!!

Maureen

I've tried clicking on the next number, but nothing happens.

I'll try the subscription thing and see how that works.

Right now, if I want to go back to the posts from Page 1, I have to go back to Weigh-In and Countdowns thing. Kind of a pain.

Did not do very well on the food today. Not totally crazy, but crazy enough. By the way, I did journal. Of all days to start journaling! When I'm at the top of the points. It was one of those pig out days. lol I'll do better tomorrow, I'm sure.

Susan - hey, same age group. I'm 41. I notice I eat more when DH is gone, but not out of loneliness. It's more likely because I can eat in peace and not be judged. I've always enjoyed eating alone at home, but it's something I'm getting over because it usually means a binge. How exciting to see a friend after such a long time, should be a blast. I'm sure after you get through that first day back at work you'll feel much more comfortable.

Sis - It's nice to have the internet when meetings get to be too much. At least you'll always have the support, and find out if anything changes!

Dee - good to know I'm not the only freak .

Tammy - exercise certainly helps me, and it looks like you have a good mix planned.

Well, the snowboarding didn't go so well. Had problems getting off a lift, someone knocked me off balance and another person was on top of my board. That meant it couldn't move with me as I fell so I twisted my right ankle pretty good . So now I have to learn to stay OP while not being able to exercise. In the past it's been all or nothing, so this will be a good life lesson for me. If I'm gonna do WW, I've got to learn to go with what I'm handed and not react by overeating. (And I'm NOT giving up snowboarding!! I had a good run before the accident, so need some more ). I know the weight contributed somewhat, because the extra mass just makes you a little more ungainly. It would be easier to get off if I had less stomach.

Anyway, have a great week all!!

Hi Everyone,

It's been pretty quiet here lately. What's everyone doing these days?

Maureen, how many days is it? 22 blocks is great! That sounds like some walk! Good for you!

Cindy, I'm sorry that your snowboarding trip wasn't as much fun as normal. Hope your back is doing better! If I went, I'd be in a body cast!!

Tammy, how's school going? How is Mr. Tim?

Tina, get your coat out.... It's gonna be cold in your neck of the woods.

Sis, How are you?

Well, I went back to work 1/2 day this week. Each day I've come home at noon exhausted!!!! Last night I fell asleep on the couch at 8:30, Pat woke me up at midnight. I thought it was 9. Guess I was tired!!!

My food was great today!!!

Tina, my kid's almost 9, and I'm not looking forward to them teen years!!

Susan, sounds like you will have a fun when you meet your friend this summer.. I know you can loose all the weight!!
Only 2 more 1/2 days of work left for you this week and then you can hopefully rest up....

Chillin how's your ankle doing?

Maureen, way to go on all that walking!! Have fun on your vacation this month.

Looks like its the bewitching hour for me... have a good W/I tomorrow for those that weigh...

Hi all,

I would love to snowboard and ski. I've never done it and think it'd be a blast! We're lucky if we get snow once every 7 years.

Susan, I'm glad you got to go back to work. I know everyone was happy to see you.

Tammy, how are you feeling? Do you still have a cough? How is Tim? Did his mouth heal up okay?

Maureen, good luck with your non-smoking.
Dee, I hope your daughter gets well soon. And, you take good care of yourself.

Viola, hang in there.
You, too, Cynthia.

Sis, I hope your mom is doing okay at home. Is someone staying with her at night? My mother would love to be back at home. It just wasn't safe. I think she's slowing adjusting to her new place.

Okay, I'm writing a book here. It's going to freeze tonight and tomorrow night. Brrr...... I've got to get out there and cover my plants while it's sunny.

Everyone stay OP and journal.

Hi All,

Ok here is a silly question..... I know how to make something in color or change the size. Ready..... here it goes.. how do you do both at the same time?

It's very windy here today and cold!! BRRRRRR!!! Don't know how ya'll do it where it's cold all the time. This Texan likes it warm!!

TIna, I don't know who was happier my kids or me! I love my kiddos. That's why I do what I do... It certainly isn't for the great pay.

Kady, good job not letting a silly ole guy ruin it for you. You are doing great!

Cindy, hang in there!!

Maggie, You are doing great!

Dee, call the doctor since your not feeling better yet!!! I feel for you with your daughter still sick too. Poor babies!!! Wish I was close by to help you out.

Have a good day,
Susan

Hi all. I am fine. Just been working a LOT of hours. My mom is doing good so far. She is staying alone and seems to be doing ok with it. Thanks for asking. I will just be glad when our hours are back to normal at work. Have a great day...Sis

It's Saturday!!!!!
Our weather is beautiful.
It got below freezing last night so I covered up all the outside plants. We didn't wrap the pipes as it wasn't going to stay below freezing that long.
I have a question for all that live in snowy areas. Do you wrap your pipes a certain way to stay all winter? Or, do you have freeze-resistent pipes? Hope that doesn't sound too stupid.

We've rented the movie, About A Boy to watch tonight. We are grilling some chicken breasts for supper.

I think people that live in trailers or have pipes that freeze sometimes use a type of heating "tape" that goes around the pipe and plugs in somewhere and keeps the pipes from freezing. We live in Michigan and when I lived in a trailer I think thats what was on my pipes. Not sure what it's called exactly though. Hope that helps....Sis

Tina,
I didn't think that was a silly question. We just don't know what it is like to live some place that gets really cold.

Sis, Thanks for the info.

It's pretty here too.

Sis, thank you for that information. That heating tape sounds like a great idea. Living in Michigan, you must be used to cold weather.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Sis, I didn't realize that we were neighbors. I live in Ohio.

I know there is special insulation to put around pipes and special tape. When it would get really cold where we used to live, we would leave the doors open under the kitchen sink to keep some warm air going in. I can remember Bob crawling under the house in the crawl space to use a hair dryer on frozen pipes. Thankfully none of them ever burst. Our house was not protected from the wind and snow out there. We were in the middle of nowhere! Now we are more protected and also have a basement which makes a difference.

Went to Curves this morning.

We have a Teacher Workday on Monday, but I don't have to go. I'd rather be there though. My cousin's husband passed away last Wed. afternoon and the funeral is Monday morning. Visitation is tomorrow afternoon. Not looking forward to this at all. Their son is Tim's age and their daughter is a 6th grader.

Hope you are all having a good weekend!

Tammy,
I'm sorry about your cousin's husband. Was he sick? You will be in my prayers.
