Lily love your choices. The brides are lucky to be getting something so unique. I bet that was interesting to see it being done. Hope that the soup is good. Ann great loss. Good for you. We went to see Chicago this afternoon. I loved it and sure wish I looked like one of those girls. Now I feel like dancing and singing all around the house. [they would think that I have lost it} Now I am feeling like Glends-I have seen 2 movies in 2 weeks. We saw Catch Me if You Can and liked that one too. Gotta run,

Hi Everybody
Lily I stopped by and had a look at the web site you gave us. The glassware is really lovely. Did you go to that glassblowing place when you were in Maui in a town called Makawao. I think it's really impressive how they get the glass so hot and are able to form so many lovely objects. I think the place in Makawao is a family owned business that has been there was some time. We have been there a couple of times now.
Maria you have really hot weather now and we have really cold weather. Even your winters are not that cold. Lucky gal.
Ann good for you.
You sure have a handle on your weight.
Gosh I don't remember the other posts, but hi to all. Talk to you tomorrow.

G'day all,

Yesterday I went to see a new doctor. She specialises in women's health, her father was the doctor who I saw when I was pregnant with ds! We had moved away from the area and for the last 15 years I saw someone else, now that we have moved into the area again (2 years ago) and I am really not that happy with my 'old' doctor, I decided to make the break and see someone locally.
I have been sleeping so badly with pains and aches in my joints that it really is starting to get me down.
The new doctor send me off for blood tests and is giving me athorough check up. I have asked my previous doctor for the same but she always dismissed me with saying that I don't need it. I would just like to know why I have those aches and pains, at least when you know you can learn to live with it.
This doctor thinks it could be menopausal, I thought I had well and truly past that but she wants to check it further.
I wasn't too bad whilst we were in Sydney where it is a very humid climate, since being home (a dryer climate) it is getting quite bad which makes me think it is arthiritis.
Anyway I am glad I am now doing something about it to get to the bottom of it.
I also went to see my optician, had not been for 4 years. He said there was some deterioration but nothing major or unusual for people in my age group. He is a friend and I told him I want some really 'jazzy' specs, not the run of the mill variety! He had none in stock but will get some next week and bring a few pairs for me to choose from.
Still no word when we actually go to New Zealand, they are still waiting on some signatures!!
I am picking up the 'newly weds' from the airport tomorrow. They have had a wonderful time, I am looking forward to seeing them eventhough ds has rung several times for no reason other than to let us know how happy he is

Lily how was the Mexican soup? I love soups, especially the low points one

Ann how are the renovations going?

Trudy how is your grand daughter coming along, I bet she is gorgeous.

Hi to everyone, hope you are all well and you are having a good day.

Cheers
Maria

Peggy: I was fun I could spend hours watching them. Havent seen CAtch me if you can sounds good.

Slavika: Yes I did go to that Glasshouse. It was wonderful. We bought a very small bowl there. It was a very unique place.
And I will diffently go back as I loved the whole town of Makawao.

Maria: Hope the Dr finds out whats going on. Dont blame you for switching back. Sounds like the old Dr was doing nothing for you. There has to be reasons for Aches and pains. Sounds like she wasnt listening to you.

The soup was good but I found it to be missing something not really sure what. Maybe didnt put enought chili powder in. DH loved it and siad it wasnt missing anything so maybe its just me
Put it on the site to.

Not bad points wise for the serving size you get.

Remember the 123 thing I was talking about? I know it is the page numbers, but I can't access the pages through it. I have to go back to the main page and get the page number there. And the computer is very slow. Since I am at work, I don't take a lot of time so haven't spoken to you a lot lately.

Maria - hope New Zealand is soon. And there are no tips to raising a schnoodle, except to love them. They are the best natured dogs and just love to be loved. Mine is a lap dog deluxe.

Anne - hope the big remodeling job will be done soon.

Trudy - Is your baby girl named Angel? Have your feet found terra firma yet? I am so excited for you and know the total euphoria. Pretty wonderful.

I am out the door for my cancer test. Keep fingers crossed and me in your prayers.

G'day all,

Beautiful day here today. Took dh to the airport this morning to go to Melbourne and in an hour or so I am returning to the airport to pick up the newley weds who are arriving from Perth.

I have a friend coming for lunch, she is doing a 4 year landscape design course and is using my front garden as a project for her course! When we are ever home long enough, the rough design that she has done will be great.
The original landscaping was done by the builder and it was very ordinairy.

I am now so pleased that I have made the move to a new doctor, I am sick of being so sore. I am seeing her again on Friday when the blood tests results are in and I am hoping she will have some answers.

Glenda my dd's schnoodle will be a super duper deluxe lapdog I am sure it will be very spoilt I told her you had one and she said that she knew that they are quite popular in the USA but most people here don't know what you are talking about when you mention 'schnoodle'.
By the way, how is your work going? I know you had some changes some months back. Of course I am sending some very positive vibes from down under and hope all will be well with your cancer test.

Lily thanks for posting the soup recipe other than that some of the ingredients I have never heard of! eg scallions, cilantro and I have never seen tomatoes and green chillies canned!
You will appreciate this, a friend just rang this morning to say that her husband will let me have his copy of Photoshop 7 I thought he might and I downloaded a trial version for 30 days from the net, it is just the best so I am very excited that I am now getting it. DH said that if it wasn't given to me, I could buy it but as you know it is very expensive so to have it 'donated' is just great. Friends dh is in his mid seventies and his health is failing, he is very happy for me to have it because he knows how much I enjoy Photoshop.
I have been messing about doing animations, it will be good to try out different things on my webpage. I wil certainly have the time when we are in New Zealand.

Talking of New Zealand, yesterday the hierachy structure was emailed to DH with who is doing what in New Zealand, still no date but it seems that it will definetly happen.

Best be off and get ready for the airport.

Have a great day
Cheers
Maria

GLENDA

I hope you can feel all those GOOD vibes coming from me. When will you get your results? I think it takes like 2 or 3 days, doesn't it? I know that you already had the test done, so it is the waiting now. I'm thinking about you, and of course you are in my prayers.

Glenda I am sending good thoughts your way. Keep positive. Maria you should change drs if you are not comfortable with the one you have been seeing. Hope that they can discover the cause of the aches and pains. Cilantro is sort of like parsley and scallions are onions. Lily that soup sounds like something I have to try. Winter is soup weather for me. I went to my niece's dd 16th birthday party last night. They sure do grow up fast nowadays. Seems like yesterday she was a baby. Was good-no cake but only because she didn't want one. Had those good old piecrust things rolled in cinnamon sugar. Have to run,

Maria: Scallions are Green Onions (those little ones with long stems)
Cilantro is a Mexican herb can be fresh or dried. I find it in the asile with all the other herbs.
As for the Tomatoes with Green chilies I couldnt find it either so I added a can of plain old tomatoes and a can of green chilies.
Lucky you getting Photo Shop for free! It is expensive. I do have a Limited Version that came with my scanner, Doesnt have all the goodies but still has quite alot.

Glenda: Will be thinking abiut you. Lets us know as soon as you get the results back.

Peggy: I love soup to this time of year. Have it almost everyday for lunch.

Later!

No time to read everything today. Just had to tell you all. Went for my cancer test. You remember, 4 months ago it was a little high. This time it is LOW. I am so happy! This was a great test. I was getting so nervous. Just had to tell you all.

Unhappy Cold in Sunny Florida

Hi everyone: I guess that Maria and I were writing at the same time on the last thread, so I didn't get the notice of the new one. I am really behind.

Glenda: I am so happy for you that all is well. By the time I read all the posts, I found that you had the test and got the results.Prayers do work, that is for sure.

Lily: Did you ever try Rotelle? It is very popular here. It is tomatoes and green chiles. My dh uses a can of Rotelle and a small box of Velveeta cheese. Melts it all in the microwave, stirs, and uses it for nachos or dip. The rotelle comes in mild or hot. That would probably work with your soup recipe. We aren't much for Mexican style food, but think I'd like to use the recipe for just the turkey meatballs.

Maria: Glad you are going to a Dr. who listens to you. After all, who knows your body better than you. You know when something is not just right. Hate to say it, but it does sound like it could be osteoarthritis. One of the blessings of being over"39"

Good news - the project is finished. Just waiting for Service Master to come and clean the carpet. But I have everything back in place, and have thrown out lots of junk that had accumulated in the cabinet drawers a dnunder each sink. The new cabinet is wonderful. Much nicer than the old one, and also the new sinks. The insurance did not provide the new sinks. Those are our present to ourselves. We're not going to take the chance of either of us having another lapse of memory with the water on and the drain stopped.

Peggy: Two movies in two weeks!! We haven't been to a movie since we saw 'Greek Wedding'. I understand that they are going to make a T.V.show out of it.

We are expecting company from Norway in Feb. My dd entertained an AFS exchange student when she was a senior in High School We have kept in touch all these years, and so she and her husband and daughter are coming for about 10 days. They can only give us an approximate arrival time, since they fly stand-by. He is a Captain for Scandinavian Airways. They just call us when they get here. Expect we will be taking in some of the attractions while they are here. Tired feet. But she has MS so no one goes too fast. She has to rest.

Trudy: How is your little Angel? Getting lots of TLC, I imagine. Have you been able to pull yourself away for teatime?:

Slavika: you and Lily make Hawaii sound so great. I sure would love to go there someday, but can't persuade my DH to go. He spent so much time traveling when he was at sea, that it has to be something pretty special to make him leave home. When we went cruising, he did that for me, since he spent so much time on ships. But working on a freighter is sure a whole lot different that a cruise ship.

Hope that this next weigh-in will be good. I am determined to get back to my goal weight. Talk to tomorrow. Ann
