CONGRATS JANIE D.

decemberdianne 08-14-2002 02:56 PM

Good lord - when it rains it pours.

Terri - I'm sorry to hear about your FIL - you must feel like a chicken without a head. Hope he's better soon - and you take care. P.S. Thanks for the "skinny Dianne" - that name could certainly grow on me:smug:

Ruth - sorry to hear about your daughter's problems, but I think Jen is right, you need to get away. Unfortunately, when our children are grown, we can't always solve all their problems, no matter how much we want to. I hope you enjoy your time away - try to relax.

Well, I have to go to a wake tonight for a 6 week old baby. My Godson's little boy passed away last night. He had some kind of heart problem, had an operation and even went home. But he started not doing well and had to go back into the hospital - my Godson got the call that he was doing poorly and by the time he and his wife got to the hospital, the baby had died. So sad. My Godson and my son, Steven and a nephew named Joey are all cousins and each one of them named their sons after themselves. Kevin (my godson) wanted to continue the tradition of the baby cousins having the same name as their dads, very sad.

Anyway, hi to Es (hope your back is better) Jen, Janie, Sandy and anyone I may have missed. Have a great day all.

Hugs,
Dianne

Oh Dianne! That is so sad. It breaks my heart. Pass on my sympathy. That has to be so hard. We almost lost my Brandon and he was in Neo-natal for awhile. I can't even imagine.

Terri

EsRios426 08-15-2002 05:06 PM

Hi

Dianne, OMG that is so sad!:( I can't even imagine the grief. My sympathy to you & your family. Gosh, I feel like hugging my niece.
My back is much better. Every now & then I feel a little something. I did Taebo yesterday & some light weights & it's fine. Thanks for asking. ;)

Terri, sorry about your FIL. I hope he'll be okay.

Jen, it's been so hot here. Have you been enjoying the pool?

Janie, WTG with your loss.

The scariest thing happened yesterday morning. I had bought a digital scale not too long ago & was very happy with till yesterday!! When I weighed myself it went up to 806!!!!!! The thought of anyone weighing that much gives me goose bumps. That's the last time I'll buy a digital scale. I'll stick to the old fashion way.

I was 174 last week now I'm back to 178. I'm not going to sweat it. I blamed it on the meds. I was taking. Gotta blame it on something.

Well girls, till tomorrow.

Love,
Es

My goodness, 806 pounds. That is so weird!!!!!!!!!!
I'll bet 178 doesn't look so bad now. Meds. can do many weird things. Just keep doing what you are doing. Don't worry you will get it off.

My FIL is doing better sorry that I can't say that about my dad.
Thanks for all the gppd wishes.
Terri

Zoe Girl - How be ya? Hope things are going good.

Hi Sandy - how are ya doing?

Well, tomorrow is wi - don't think I've done well this week, but we'll see. I didn't do badly with food, but didn't walk as much as I'd like to. Heck, there's always next week, right? Here's to fresh starts!

Hi everyone

I began a fresh start today; normally I wait till Monday to do so, then get discouraged because "it's Monday again, and here I am going back OP AGAIN!" So I thought I'd shake things up a bit and begin on Sunday. When I look at the total I need to lose I beat myself up. Am going to focus on 10 pound increments. One day at a time. :strong:

Yikes, Es, that was weird with the 806 pounds

I can't believe summer is already over, Labor Day right around the corner!

later,
~Jen

Good morning girls :flow2:

OP day yesterday :D which means that here it is Monday and I'm on a roll, ready to get another OP day under my belt.
With the garden at it's best right now, it's easy to plan meals that are low in points.
The biggest challenge this week will be on Saturday; Joey is having an apt.-warming party. Chances are, tho, that Joe and I won't stick around too long, as we're the "P's" and the rest of the guests will be his friends and co-workers.

Have a great day,
luv,
~Jen

Hi everyone,

Well, I see we have a new look to the message boards. Guess I'm getting old, not so sure I like the change!! LOL

I hope all of you are alright. I haven't caught up on reading the post from last week, but I will after I get my grandson off to school.

Texas was wonderful. The shops in Fredricksburg are wonderful with so many unique gifts. I would love to go back Christmas shopping.

The first day we were there, I visited my 93 year old great uncle. I would have swore he was at death's door. He was so out of it, he wouldn't eat. I went to bed that night and dreamed that he had died. The next to days he was sitting up and eating with a little help. I can't help but wonder if they had him drugged at the nursing home. His daughter said his blood pressure had dropped that first day and that he has bad days and good days, but I'm just not so sure.

The last day in Fredricksburg we visited the famous "Luchenbach, Texas." Not sure of what I expected but was surprised at the old building that represents Luchenbach. It was really funny. Then we went to a place called Enchanted Rock. A large granite formation, my friend Tanya and I hiked at least half way up it, but chickened out and came back down.

Well, I must get Nicholas up and off to school, I'll be back later to read post.

Ruth

Good morning my buds

Jen - Good for you - starting fresh on a Sunday - way to go. You'll be fine at Joey's apt. warming, I'm sure. Plus like you said you won't stay long, so you probably won't eat much:lol:

Terri - okay, you're keeping me in suspense, huh? You still haven't told me what gppd is???? C'mon, give:s:

Ruth - glad to hear you had a nice vacation in Texas - glad to be back???? When does school start?

Es, mi amiga, how are you? How is your back? Are you back to work or still home? Come say hi.

Zoe Girl - what's up - how are ya?

Well, my boss in on vacation this week in California. But would you believe he calls every morning at 9:00 (NY time)which means 6:00 a.m. in California - some vacation:p

I didn't get to go to ww this past saturday, so don't know if I lost or gained. Don't think I did too well this past week, didn't walk much. I will try to make up for it this week, but I have a feeling I may have gained. Oh, well, thank God for fresh starts.

Hope everyone is well and will talk to you's soon.

Hugs,
Dianne

Dianne,
gppd? Here is what it means. You ready?

An administrative assistant (aka secretary) I am not.
I use two fingers and they still don't work too well.

Ruth,
Glad you had such a great time. I remember that song
Luchenbach,Texas. Sounds wonderful . I miss Colorado. I really hope we move there.

I messed up Sunday foodwise but did great yesterday. Don't want to start gaining which was always the story of my life.

TTYL,
Terri

Dianne

points 08-20-2002 02:42 PM

I can't tpye!

Terri

Jenny523 08-20-2002 03:57 PM

Dianne, I think Terri meant "good" back when she used it in a post , no hidden meaning.

Terri, you are too funny  I hope your Dad is okay. How are the kids liking the new school year? You've definitely got the right attitude about not falling back into old habits, and are right back at losing....cool!

Ruth, glad you had a good trip! Good going on the hike up the rock formation. When do your classes begin? I go back a week from tomorrow...only taking one accounting class.

Es, how are you? Hope your back is better, and that you're being careful.

Janie emailed me today, said to say HI to everyone, and that she misses us. For some reason, she can't access this site. Perhaps due to the update? At any rate, let's keep our fingers crossed that we see her here soon!

It's beautiful here today, sunny and uper 70's; I "walked" a mile indoors yesterday to the video. Tonight after dinner I'm walking outside to get in exercise today. Even if I only get 20 to 30 mins. in each day, it's something!

~Jen
