I'm back!!!!
Hey everyone, I'm finally back. Yes, I've been back from Seattle for 2 or so weeks but wow, it sure takes a lot out of you when you travel from time zone to time zone. With Seattle being 2 weeks earlier, I found out the true meaning of Jet Lag. :dizzy: Ok, so not really a good excuse. To be honest, my eating has been bad, bad, bad half the month of July. On good note, Monday will be my weigh in and that will be 1 day shy of 2 weeks that I've been OP. I just wanted to come back with some good news instead of the "I ate too much when Jenna was here, went to Seattle and continued the same" blues. So even though I don't have a loss to post today, I will come Monday.
I've missed being here and since I'm really doing good these last 'almost' 2 weeks, it's time for me to come 'see' my friends and stop disappearing from y'all all the time. :( I haven't read through all the posts but will. If we have anyone who is new, please let me know. Have a great Saturday. It feels so good to be "home". :) Zoe and Patti <>< |
Hi Girls:wave:
Dianne, I'll never leave here. You girls are too cool. ;) I've said things here that I haven't shared with my family. So much support & understanding from everyone that I've gotten teary eyed lots of times. Well, it's a new week. I know how we all love fresh starts. I'm going to do a little gardening today & stay home. We spent the past 2 days with David so today I'll just stay home & relax. The weekends go by so fast!!! I was just telling Pete since I haven't been exercising everything hurts. My left leg & my left side of my back hurt for some reason. Like I pulled something. Anyway, gotta do what I gotta do. Have to pull out those weeds. I'll be back later on. Have a great day everybody. Hugs, Es |
Welcome back Zoe:)

Hi everyone,
Es, glad David's doing okay; of course your prayers helped him. It'll be nice for you to spend the day getting back to normal. Weeds? don't even remind me! I spent the better part of the morning doing some big time weeding. It's the price we have to pay for the beauty of the flowers and the bounty of the veggie garden. Zoe, welcome back! But you weren't really gone all that long...probably felt like that to you due to being off program. You've done so well in the past, I know you'll be right back OP the next time we hear from you! Hang in there, and don't beat yourself up about it. Remember what Dianne always says, Life has a way of getting in the way Another hot and humid day here. Joey helped Joe yesterday and again today in putting up the new garden shed. We should have planned a bit better and done this project in the fall, the weather would have been more tolerable. HI to all! ~Jen |
Hi:wave:
I just read on another thread about WW bracelets. Go to ebay & when you search or look up type in Points Bracelet. Looks pretty cool but I still can't figure out how you use it. Hmmmmmm interesting. Let me know what you think. :) Es |
Es,
The bracelets look like a pretty cool idea. I'm all for any gadget that'd replace journalling! From what I can gather, the bracelet has a movable charm, which you move past each bead as you use points...each bead representing one point. Kind of like saying the rosary. I'm thinking of showing it to Jessica, she's very artsy craftsy, which I'm definitely not. I'm sure she could whip one up for me. It can't hurt to try it. ~Jen |
Happy Monday Everybody:wave:
Jen, that would be great if Jessica can make one for you. I wonder who came up with that idea? I bet it's going to be a hot item. It would be good for us. Since I have such a hard time with journaling I could have that right on my wrist which would be soooo much easier. I just might get one. I took a sick day today. Not feeling so good. My back was really bothering me when I woke up. See, I bet all these aches & pains are from not working out! When I'm exercising on a steady basis I feel strong. As soon as my back feels better back to Boot Camp video & walking! I'll be back later. Have a great day:) Hugs, Es |
Es,
take care of your back and pamper yourself! If I've had more than a couple lazy days in a row, it's not only the guilt that gets to me, it's the backache and other sore joints! It does feel so good to workout, even simply walking. Hope your back feels better. ~Jen |
Hi Jen,
It is very humid today. Maybe that has something to do with it. I took an Ibuprofen 600 mg. & it didn't help at all.:( I'll just watch soaps & read. I bought the Bob Greene, Get With The Program. Today will be the perfect day to read it. Zoe, how are you doing? Did you WI yet? Hope it wasn't too bad. Terri, how's Dad? I know you're probably not back yet. Ruth & Sandy, stop by & say hi:wave: Hi Janie & Dianne. Have a great day guys.:D Later... :strong: |
Es & Jen,
I am so with you with regard to the aches and pains if I dont' exercise. My lower back will always remind me when I haven't been working out. It makes such a difference. I know that some people find the exercising part of WW very difficult. That is the easiest part for me because my body reminds me if I don't. We got the car back last Wed so I was able to get to kick boxing Thur and Sat. I was bad yesterday though, I didn't get my walking in. Instead I spent the weekend making a banner for Ellen's soccer team. They are the "Fire Breathing Dragons". If we could still upload pictures I would show you guys how it came out. Zoe/PAtti Glad to hear from you. How was the weather when you were in Seattle? I know it is supposed to rain a lot there, but I have been very lucky whenever I have gone. It has always been gorgeous weather until the day I am leaving, and then it rains. Makes you glad to be coming home that way. We are having cool weather here in CA. I actually had to pull on the comforter last night. Terri, How is your dad doing? Have they done the surgery yet? My prayers are with you and him. Ruth, You are on vacation now arent' you? Are you planning on going anywhere? I am taking next week off. The first half of the week will be a "honey do" vacation. The second half we will be going camping/canoeing with our friends. They have invited 2 other families to come along, so there could be quite a crowd. Hope everyone has a OP Monday, JanieD |
Happy Monday everyone ~ I always feel that once Monday at 5pm comes around, I can make it through the rest of the day.
Janie ~ The weather in Seattle was GORGOUS! It was between 72 and 75 each of the 4 days we were there and sunny. They said that we were lucky because it rains (over-cast or drizzle anyway) about 245 days a year. Now, I know someone else who went and had beautiful weather, then there's you and then me......seems like maybe they just say that to keep us all out. :?:  Es ~ hope you're feeling better. Stay inside ~ that humidity won't help you if you don't feel like yourself. Jen ~ I'm sure your gardening project is going to look great. Drink water when it's so hot and humid. Ok, so today was weigh day and I lost 7 pounds. Now, don't forget, that's for 2 weeks, not 1. I've lost that in the first week in the past but I guess I should be glad for that. I'm still sticking to it though..... :) Well, have a good night, I'll talk to you's guys tomorrow. Zoe and Patti :ink:  :ink: |
Zoe,
It's the Happy Dance for you! :cb:  Even if the 7 pound loss is the result of two weeks, it's awesome! Good going. Glad to hear you had such great weather in Seattle. Janie, I hope you enjoy your week off, and have a great camping trip! Actually, I'm glad that by body rebels if I don't exercise regularly...it keeps me honest. Es, Hope your back is better. Glad to hear you were going to relax and rest today. I've got three weeks left of summer, my class begins on the 28th. I'm taking Accounting 102 (a glutton for punishment!). Until I decide what I want to do, I'm taking classes that interest me. I hate the thought of beginning a new career at this stage of my life, but I know for sure that I won't be happy staying at home too much longer. The classes keep the grey matter active! Hi to Terri, Dianne, Ruth, Sandy  ~Jen |
ok, I just HAD to jump on the scale this morning since this is my 'official' start of the 3rd week of being OP. Yesterdays WI was a day shy of 2 weeks. Hey Jen, thanks for the dance. I'm dancing here myself as it's now 8.5!! Woo Hoo!!!
:cb:  :cb:  :cb: Just needed to say this..... I'm off to work. Have a great Tuesday everyone. Me |
Don't you just love the new smilies?
While I miss the gifs we used to have so much fun with, it's nice to have more smilies to play with  ~Jen |
Hola my girls!
How is everyone on this beautiful (NOT HOT - THANK YOU GOD!!!) day??? Es - I love your new icon :bb:, so cute. How are you feeling and how's your back? Is David okay now with his teeth? And how is little Karinna? Zoe Girl!!! - Welcome back and fantastic weight loss, girl  :dancer: - you must give me your secret. Hey Jen - What's up? I know you must have been living in your pool these past few days, I would. Tooooooooooooo damn hot for me! Hi Terri - How's your dad doing? Are you back from Ohio yet? Hope he's okay. Ruth - Are you MIA now??? Come back, come back! Hi Janie and Sandy - How's it going? Well, was disappointed last saturday with my 1 lbs gain :dz: after having lost 3.6 the week before. But TOM was visiting and I was feeling bloated, so I won't kick myself too much. I think I should show a loss this week. I'm off Friday, this is the weekend we go upstate with the whole family (practically) to celebrate Willie's birthday. So, I'm gonna find an early morning meeting so I don't miss wi, good or bad. Well, gotta get back to work. Hope everyone is doing well. Will talk to you's soon. Hugs, Dianne |
