Justsomegirl, since you mentioned you'd been sneaking junk food, I made the assumption that you had it in the house, and when you mentioned kids and DH, I made another assumption that the junk food was for them. I should have remembered what they say about assumptions.
I'm sorry you felt attacked because that was the farthest thing from my mind when I responded. I was trying to offer some help in creating that safe environment for you to help you towards your goal.
Buffalosister, I, too, had kids in the highest height percentile and the lowest weight percentile. It kind of bothered me, but the pediatrician said it was great. You're doing a wonderful thing giving your kids a healthy eating example. Unfortunately, my kids didn't stay thin and I guess they followed my bad example and ended up somewhat overweight in their late teens, and now even more overweight. My 23-year old daughter and I are doing WW together, although on opposite coasts. I wish I had started a healthy lifestyle much earlier to be a good example to my children like you and justsomegirl.
