I have been wearing it as a test run without change my routine for the last two days. Yesterday I had 14,000 something (I walk constantly at work). But today, just chasing the kids around I was already at 7000 by noon . I have tested it several times and adjusted it for accuracy and it seems to be working.
It is funny. I would have guessed I was at 5K or 6K per day. I thought I would have to get moving to reach that 10K mark.
Now I am not going to change a thing for this week at least and see where my average is at, then up it.
Today:
12 oz nonfat latte (2)
coffee with creamer (1)
crackers (2)
lentil soup (4)
strawberries (1)
apple (1)
another apple (2)
chicken with peppers, corn and black beans over mixed greens with cottage cheese and salsa
Pedometer fell off sometime today - I have no clue as to where. On the other hand, I had 16K steps yesterday. So maybe I don't need one.
Today I am going to burn some serious extra points. We are having a Tapas party tonight with about 20 friends and no kids.
My invitation said this
Quote:
imagine this ~...8:00 PM - a tapas bar in Madrid, patrons lined up at the bar, calling their orders to the bartender. In a few minutes, the crowd will be so large it will spill out into the streets, carrying their wine glasses and tapas with them. You elbow your way in and are immediately seduced by the aromas of garlic, olive oil, shellfish, ham, cheese, saffron... coming from a spread of hand-made pottery bowls brimming with tapas.~
Ok, maybe it won’t be that cool, but come anyway. We are having a tapas party. Bring an appetizer of your choice and a wine to accompany.
It should be lots of fun - I hitched a ride with a neighbor to school today so my DH could be the designated driver tonight and we would only have 1 car in town. I am borrowing my parents house for the party because it is much bigger, nicer, and cleaner than mine which means we have to drive home.
I am roasting baby peppers and stuffing them with fresh mozzerella, pesto, pine nuts, baby spinach and carpaccio.
Hi there! I think this would be of great benefit to me. I am in my 7th week with WW. I weighed in last night and gained 2 lbs. I ate all of that in icecream and girl scout cookies. I have lost just over 13 lbs after my gain. However, I lost 27 lbs prior to joining WW. So.......I have done the following for today.....
Lunch
Chicken salad made with lite mayo 3pts
15 FF pringles 1pt
2 slices light breat 1pt
I have 15 pts left for dinner and am making chicken with feta sauce with rice. I photo copied this from a WW cookbook. This is 7 pts per serving. I may have 1 and a half servings with a salad.
I hope to gain some new meal/snack/food ideas from this.
I think I used up all my extra points for the next two weeks last night.
On the other hand, I had lots of fun. We had about 15 friends over for a Tapas party. There was garlic shrimp, mini-roasted peppers stuffed with fresh mozzerella and pesto, asparagus spears wrapped in proscuitto, proscuitto and roasted peppers on little tiny bites of toasted sourdough, roasted almonds, cheese fondue, lots of veggies, and flan.
I didn't count points.
I did however, use some good party stratagies. I never stood right next to the food. I stayed away from the fondue (except one bite). I drank lots of water before hand. My worst digression was wine. There were 14 empty bottles.
Now I am going to attempt to count points from yesterday.
Breakfast: egg, peppers, corn, and a little bit of chicken (3)
12 oz nonfat latte (2)
Lunch: Apple (1)
Tapas Party:
Proscuitto: 4
Little bits of french toast: 8
Shrimp: 1
fondue: 1
almonds: 4
flan: 3
wine: 15 points
42 points, not bad at all considering I have had 42 points days when I wasn't even trying to.
Breakfast: running late, only had a latte and coffee with creamer (3)
Lunch: forgot to pack one - we will see how goes the cafeteria
ended up with... salad (0), chicken (2), dressing (3), crunchy things in salad (1)
Snack: fresh mozzerela and pesto on crackers (2)(1)(2)
Dinner Plan: Cabbage and Potatoes squished together (2)
Soda Bread (3), Corned Beef (4), Salad Dressing (3)
26 points for the day
I am wearing jeans today that I couldn't get on in January and that were to tight to be comfortable 2 weeks ago. Today they are just perfect.
Dinner should be......???
3oz corned beef 6pts
large potatoe 5pts
cabbage
salad???probably not
19pts with some room to spare.......I get 24.
Do you guys use your flex points?? How about activity points. I am worried that I won't lose if I use. I work out 3-6 days a week at they gym and three of those days are always 30 minutes with a personal trainer.
Let me know what you think.

This sounds like a great spot! I'm starting the WW plan tomorrow and was looking for a place to start being responsible for what goes in my mouth and this looks like just the place..lol I tried the low card, it didn't work for me I found it to restrictive, I know without a doubt you can lose weight on it, but it just wasn't for me, I like fruit and veggies too much!
Let me give a little info on myself, i'm 42 and have 2 children, I currently weigh in at 229 lbs, i'm only 5'2, this is the most i've EVER weighed! I've come to this startling conclusion that i'm the only one stopping me from losing this weight, there's no one forcing food in my hand, I would love to be around to see my children grow up, they're 12 and 10. My mother passed away 13 yrs ago at the age of 52 from a heart attack, you'd think that in itself would smack me into reality! I just finally feel this is it, it's going to work this time!!
I'll be back tomorrow to start my journey here, I can't wait! ;-)
Let me clarify. I don't actually fit into my jeans.
But I do fit into a stack of my dad's jeans. 38W
I have all my clothes stored in bins
Small Bin - pretty much empty, a few scraps from high school, lots of thongs, and 2 pair of size 5 jeans that I never really squeezed into. Oh, and a pair of stretch pant for skiing, that my husband told me I was never allowed to wear even if they did fit (ie - ugly), but I loved them and I skied in them from 7th to about 10th grade.
Medium Bin - size 7 and 9 jeans, some really cute dresses and clothes
Large Bin - size 10 and 12, all of my nice school clothes. Most of the clothes I have worn for work, professional stuff
XL Bin - size 14 and 16, not nearly as full because last time I lost weight I threw everything in this size range away thinking I would never be there again
Currently - a size 18, meaning I don't even fit into my XL bin.
Luckily my mom has entire wardrobes of sizes 16-24, so I do have clothes. And my dad has given me boxes of jeans and slacks in 36 (can't squeeze into yet) and 38 (just fitting), to tide me over until I hit my meduim box.
