  • I couldn't get my post to edit - so I am finishing they day down here.
    I had one of my favorite - fill you up without having to cook - dinners.
    1 WW santa fe chicken (2)
    1 WW santa fe rice and beans (6)
    served over a bed of lettuce with a tomatoe sliced on top (0)
    + apple (1) earlier today for a total of 20 points.

    My lips are sealed for the day.
  • I haven't seen it on many WW foods, just a few. I have also noticed after checking a bunch that many of the WW foods are in the upper end of their point range. For example, a 2 point food on the label may fall closer to the 3 on the slider, but still be in the 2 range. At least it is a good reason to count 1/2 points.

    I also like using the formula

    Points = [Calories/50] – [grams of fiber*/5] + [grams of fat/12]

    Breakfast: oatmeal (2) with berries (1) and coffee with creamer (2)

    I had a late breakfast (right now at 9:45), so hopefully it will last longer. I am headed outside to work today and I am kid free for a day.

    I am feeling a bit bummed about my Easter goal. 10 lbs in 5 weeks didnt seem so bad. Now I am looking at 7 lbs in 2 weeks which probably won't happen.

    I need to keep telling myself that WW is for the rest of my life, so a little 5 week goal setback is really not a concern.

    Kind of a big lunch: 1tsp olive oil (1), 6.5 oz chicken breast stir fried with an onion (7) over lettuce. Oh, and salad dressing (2)

    This leaves me only 5 points for dinner - but I am going to do it. I really want to stay on track.

    I did it! Salmon (4), bread (1), salad (0)

  • Morrigan, you're doing great! At least you are losing, that's the main thing! And you are doing it in a healthy way!

    I haven't done so great this morning. All I've had is 1/2 a 12oz latte and my salmon oil tablets and vitamins. <sigh> I've been running errands all morning. Should have brought a banana with me or something!

    Oh well, more points for later I guess!
  • Having a really bad day....but not points wise....I didn't eat breakfast today (i think I'm having a bad week with that all around)...but did get a good lunch. The problem is I'm totally PMSing so I want to eat and cry and be ugly to pretty much everyone I see. I've even warned everyone to ignore what I say and how I say it when I talk to them...but don't ignore me 'cause that makes it worse. MEN....still don't get it do they. Will be all better when 5 o'clock get here. TGIF ... OK...enough pity party... here's what I've had today:

    12 oz water - 0pts
    16 oz water - 0pts
    6" turkey breast Subway on wheat - 5 pts
    sandwhich veggies - 0pts
    a bit of mustard - 0pts
    bag of baked chips, sour cream and onion - 3pts
    16 oz dt coke - 0pts

    i'm working on only my 2nd bottle of water today... so not doing too good there.

    Oh wow...just realized I've only used 8 pts today... I know I didn't eat breakfast and that's not good but still...that gives me 16pts for dinner I might just have to call the girls and see who wants to go out.
  • Love your "random bites of stuff 3"! I have been trying to figure out how to calculate points for the little bits I eat off of my daughter's plate when she's finished so we don't "waste it". It's so hard to not nibble!!

    If you're low on points for dinner, ry to make some tuna cakes. They are really filling, a good sized portion, and only 3pts each. The recipe is in WW Simply The Best cookbook. I can post it if you need me to. We are going to try them with salmon this weekend, but we made them with tuna last weekend and even my 6yo liked them.

  • Hi everyone! I'm new here but I'm hoping that I can join in. I started WW (for the 3rd or 4th time) about a month ago but I could use some extra motivation. I do great all day but as soon as my kids go to bed and my DH and I are settled in for a quiet evening of tv and surfing online, I want to much. I thought it would help to journal my food with everyone to hold myself accountable since right now I'm doing WW online and not attending meetings.

    Breakfast

    ~ coffee w/ splenda and a splash of skim milk - 1pt
    ~ 2 egg muffins (they are these little egg omletes that you make in a muffin tin that I got from the WW website and they're soooo good and just 2 pts. each) - 4pts

    I've found that writing down everything I put in my mouth really helps me keep things in perspective. I HATE doing it, but I need to in order to stay on track.

    This is my 1st time on WW and I'm only on my second week. Some days are easier than others.

    If you can, would you please post or PM me with your egg muffin recipe? I love omelets and haven't had one since I started WW.
  • 20 points days are tough in a hotel room full of wine and cheese.

    I had 20 points on Friday, 32 yesterday, and so far today it has been a complete disaster. My dad (my parents were supposed to babysit, but instead they rented a condo next to ours and cooked) made orange rolls, the pillsbury kind in the little tubes. I had 3, plus oatmeal. I would guess they are about 3 points a peice. That puts me at 9+3 for breakfast. My lunch was cheese, crackers and strawberries for about 5 points. 17 for the day so far. We spent about 3 hours in the pool this morning with the snow coming down on our heads. DS learned the crawl and how to tread water. He is 3.5 so this is some pretty good swimming. Then I went skiing for a few runs.

    Then I made a blunder - I am very good at inadvertant social faux-paus. I invited one of the guys that works with my DH and his family to go to the circus with us next month. He was very excited and had his wife call and get tickets. I am using DH computer at work right now, and just read an email that the guy is getting fired. Oops.

    After the 17 points I had 4 double rum and cokes (20), two chicken fajitas (10), 1/2 a cookie (2), some cheese and crackers (4)

    For a grand total of 53 points - argghhhh
  • Morrigan...try not to worry too much about this weekend...it's not how many times you fall down...it's how many times you get back up. You'll do fine once you get back on your routine.

    OK...up 1.6lbs at WI. Did not do well the last few days. New resolve to stay on track this week. New goals: journal, exercise, drink water. Here's what I've had today:

    8 oz water
    33 oz water
    16 oz water
    WW smoothie - 1 pt
    1 cup FF popcorn w/spray butter - 1pt
    whole wheat spaghetti (1 cup) - 3 pt
    lean ground beef (1/2 lb) - 4pt
    spaghetti sauce (1 1/2 cup) - 6pt
    whole wheat bread (2) - 2pt
    smart balance butter spread - 1pt
    Parkey butter spray (10) - 1pt
    garlic powder - 0pt
    12 oz diet berries & cream dr. pepper - 0pt

    = 19pts for day so far.

    Planning on a big salad with FF dressing for dinner. That should be 2 or 3 pts tops. That gives me 2 pts for a snack.

    That's the plan...wish me luck.
  • I think I've messed up. I've been counting Healthy Pop 94% FF micro popcorn as zero points. Crud! I've really messed up, haven't I?
  • Hi there everyone. Glad to see some new people around here. I am back from my four day girls' weekend. Had a great time, and due to a nervous stomach, I did not over eat. I don't know if that is good or bad. Went to Vegas. Had fun, but that is not the place for me. Anyhow.......I did not keep track of any of my food but am right on track again today with my 3pt oatmeal for breakfast. I got on the scale this morning, and am right where I was before my trip. Will write more later. Just wanted to check in. --Amy

    So.........lunch was a WW smart one. It should have been 6 points but was nasty so I only ate 2/3. I will then call it 4pts

    some fritos.........OH NO!!!!!!! I will call it 3

    10 points so far. Don't have plans for dinner yet and daughter has dance. May be an eat out night. Will check back later.

    I feel your pain. I've been counting it as one for the whole bag.

    I can't remember what I had to eat....oh yeah...

    2 slices bread - 2 pts
    1 tbsp fake butter - 1 pt
    1 WW smoothie - 1 pt (I love these things)
    HC french bread pizza - 8 pts
    1/2 bag 94% ff popcorn - 1 pt
    3 - 16.9 oz bottles of water - 0 pts.

    finding out my ex-husband has gained weight...priceless

    12oz 1% milk latte, 3pts
    salmon oil tablets, 2pts
    Banana, 2pts
    Homemade scone (WW recipe), 1pt

    WW Veggie soup, 0pts
    Quesidilla with 1 pc of real cheese & spinach, 2pts(cheese) 0pt tortilla
    1/2 piece of homemade carrot cake (WW recipe), 1.5 pts.

    That leaves me with 10.5 points left for the rest of the day. Tomorrow is my second weigh-in, so I've been obsessing about food all day today. Hopefully I will have lost something.

    I was hoping I could join in here. This is my second week with ww...first week went good, down 2.6lbs.

    Here is what I ate today:
    WW English Muffin & 1oz LF cream cheese = 3 pts
    WW Smoothie = 1pt
    Healthy Choice lunch = 5 pts

    Special K Snack Bites (VERY good!) = 2pts
    100 cal ritz snack pack = 2 pts

    Ribeye steak 4.5oz = 7pts
    Salad w/dressing = 2pts

    WW mini cake = 2pts
    a little bit of cheese = 2pts

    Total = 26pts / goal was 24pts so I used 2 flex points today.

    I know I got all my water in I just don't know the exact ounces.
    I am really bad at keeping track of the veggies, fruits & oils...but I'll get there!
