Default Wendie Plan Followers Come Join Me!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Wendy and I am following the Wendie Plan.

I have been for a few months now and doing very well.
Although, I had a short amounts of time where I was unable to stay on plan because I have had 2 surgeries. With both I could not exercise and had to eat what was given to me. I did have a little say in what I ate but It was not cooked the way I would do it. So I have had some slower results.

I was seriously able to get started on May 30th. This was 15 days after my lung surgery.
I started at 245 lbs and I am not at 208 lbs. The second surgery was 5 weeks ago and I have been on plan since about 2 weeks after that surgery.

I have lost 37 lbs and 27.50 inches. I have been excited about this plan. I tend to loose 2 pounds a week and a few inches a week. I do Cardio 5 or 6 days a week and I do body sculpting. Sculpting is like weight training but I use "rubber" bands that have different thicknesses which gives me more resistance depending on what body part I am working.

I invite anyone to join me. And if you have questions feel free to ask me what you want.

Talk to you all later!

Hello Andrea.

Thanks and glad to see you here.

I love Wendie plan. I used it most of the summer and it was great. I made some recipes that were in point ranges that I was as acceptable and was able to have my Potatoe salad and Barbeque Chicken and still lost weight. It was wonderful.

I love food. So I am always looking for new recipes and trying new things. I am going to make some granola later today for a change at breakfast time and I have cooked some cabbage and chicken breast with tomatoes, garlic and onions. It is very good. and very little points. I kept the breast whole so that I can just measure what I want and that is my point for the meal.

I hope you are doing good!

Have a great day!

FL_Chickie...The Wendie Plan is Weight Watchers but the points that you eat everyday change. My base Points is 26 and each day I eat 41 on my high day, 28 on lower days and 30 or 31 on other days. It really depends on your points. Here is the information on the Wendie plan in the link Below.

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60078

Andrea...how did weigh in go. Mine was not good today. I gained 2 pounds and my inches grew by about an inch. I am building muscle and growing in areas. But lost in others. I hate how that happens.

I will be better about staying on point this week. I was over by 1-4 points on from Thursday til Sunday. I dont do that normally. I dont know what was up with me. I really did not eat junk food. I mearly over ate. Which is not necessarly better but better then if I was eating sweets. But still a problem.

Well I am going to go...Talk to you later!

Hi everyone! I am a Wendie follower for about two-three months now. I have lost about 10lbs that way. I havent been following the pts exactly. I usually do 35, 19, 22, 20, 23, 21, 19. When i was following exactly 35, 20, 24 22 20 25 21 i didnt see a lost. Why is that? I did exercise too and i do notice that when i reduce my starches i lose better. Any ideas because i would love to go back to eating higher pts and still lose!

Danielle...I know what you mean about the carbs. I tend to over eat on carbs. I try to stay to Carbs at breakfast usually Oatmeal with protein and then for lunch I have Protein and Veggies 1/3 of my plate is my protein area. I have 4 oz. of chicken breast usually. and the rest of the plate is 2 different veggies.
Snack later is Protein and Fruit. then Dinner is a small potatoe or 1/2 cup of Rice and lots of Veggies. I like Shakes or Smoothies with Protein Powder and Fruit.

If I am not careful, I will eat too much carbs and my weight loss stalls.

Andrea...I havent been able to exercise either. I know that contributes to my gains and lack of losses. My leg has been hurting so much lately that I just can not do stuff.

I have numbness left in my leg and foot from the nerve damage from hurting my back. It has yet to subside. Thursday this week will be 6 weeks since my surgery and It seems to be worse. My foot gets really cold. I wear 3 layers on my feet to keep that one warm enough. 1 pair of socks, 1 close fitting Slipper/scock Non skid and a crochet slipper over that then I have blankets over me. When that foot gets Cold...it gets painful. and I start having trouble with strength and balance. So I dont dare do much. I would either hurt my self or break something else.

Anyways...I am going to go for now. Talk to you all later!

Hi Sunshinedaizy. I was just reading your post about your cold feet. I used to work in a woolshop and would highly reccommend some wool socks or mohair socks. Both of these are natural fibres and promote a high level of comfort and warmth. You might also try sheepskin slippers. I have both (hazards of the job) and I LOVE THEM!!! I've never seen a cold sheep!! Good luck with your weightloss on the wendie plan. I am just starting something similar to that.

Thanks guys...I appreciate it.
Angel Eyes...Thanks for the advise about the wool socks and sheep skin slippers. I will definately be looking for some. I need to do something...what I am doing is not working and Winter is not even here yet. I told my husband last night as soon as I get back to work I am going to go buy some Warm winter socks or Hunting socks because if I dont I know my foot will freeze all winter. Yikes!

Ok...Yesterday was good but I had spaghetti for dinner. I had mostly meatballs but had 2 cups of pasta and about 10 (1/2 oz) meat balls and 1 cup of sauce. I am guessing on the Meatballs as per the points. But I think I had a 41.4 point day. 41 was my limit. Today I get 26 so I started off with 3/4 cup Acorn Squash, a Weight Watchers English muffin and Grape Jelly for 4.5 points. Lunch will be Chicken breast (buffalo style) with Spinach and Smart Balance butter.

I look forward to the rain stopping tomorrow afternooon. It feels like it has been raining for a month now. At least 2 weeks almost straight it has rained. I think it didnt rain 1 day during that 2 weeks. My dogs are going stir crazy as well as my children and I. I love to sit out on my porch in the morning and watch the deer grazing and the birds coming out to catch the bugs and the sun coming up while drinking my tea. But It is not an enclosed porch, so I would get wet.

Well I am going to go. Talk to you all later!

Rain rain go away!!! There....that should help!!! I love to sit out on the porch also and watch the day. Nothing like sitting on a sofa or anything, hehe. A few months ago we had some yardwork done and a new patio poured in concrete. Well....short story is, it was going to cost well over $1000 to lay down sod. 3 seedings later of grass seed, we still have muddy guck. Definitely tired of towelling off our dogs feet. Yeah, I really think the socks/slippers will work for you as alot of our customers were either older (with poor circulation) or diabetic (with really bad feet problems).

MMMM, spag and meatballs. yum yum. I think I will have that tonight, as its a quick dinner to make. Thanks for the idea.

Good Morning.

Andrea...My meatballs are homemade. I use lean ground beef and sometimes mix in Ground Turkey breast. I did not this time though.
I add 2 slices of tasted Swirl bread (Pumpernickel and Rye bread) that has been frozen and I crumble it up add about 1/4 cup 1% milk and heated it up in the micorwave.
I then mash the bread. Then I add the beef, 2 eggs, chopped garlic, and onions, And lots of seasoning. I then make 1 oz balls (using a scale) and drop them in a pan of sauce. They poach in the sauce. So having 10 meatballs is only about 5 oz. But more then I know I should have had. And I did use Regular Pasta just because I was out of the Barilla Plus. And it was all we had in the house.

So I Have not figured out the points for them yet. I will have to sit down and figure then out.

I love Italian Food. I should have been Italian. Well Actually, I love just about all foods! That is my problem.

I have been good the last 2 days I was right on on Monday and just under yesterday. Today so far is good. Today is a 30 point day. I started out with Oatmeal with Peanut butter and brown sugar. for 5 points. So I am setting my self up for a good day.

I cooked Potato Logs last nigh. I take 2 lbs potatoes cut into logs (can get 6 per potato usually) and add 2 tbsp Olive oil then put lots of garlic and herb seasoning and Chili powder then some salt. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes. 4 oz=1.75 points They are really good. But they get eaten quickly. My husband loves them as do I.

Well I have to go. Talk to you later.
