Lightbulb Easter Challenge!!

I don't want to turn this into a religious challenge of any kind, but it is the season of chocolate bunnies and yummy creme eggs... So I thought it would be appropriate. Especially if you love chocolate as much as I do!
Easter is April 20 this year, so that gives us a solid month to set some goals for ourselves!!:

For this challenge it might be helpful to include the following:
- Your start weight, because you may forget it a few weeks from now!
- Steps that you will take to reach your weight goal.
- Your weight goal or other final goal.
- A reward for yourself, contigent on reaching your goal!

I am on an exercise high right now, and am pumped to get going again! Here are my goals:
- My starting weight for the challenge is 166.2
- I will walk, do my WAWTP video, or other cardio, 5 times a week.
- I will do 125 ab roller exercises 3 X a week.
- I will limit myself to 1 yummy easter treat per week!
- I will lose 4lbs, bringing me down to 162.2
- My reward will be an evening out with dh!

Hi - I am up for the Easter Challenge as well.

My start is 195.2#. My goal will be to get down to 190#.
To do this I will stay within my point range daily & do at least 1 mile per day of my tape & get in my water. I hope to increase my exercise up to 2 miles per day. Anything over & above this will be bonus.

My reward will be a facial & pedicure.

Wishing everyone good luck on the challenge.

This is perfect - I'm in desparate need of a short term challenge. Mind if I join in?

My start weight is 169. My goal is 163.

To get there I will:
- journal everything I eat
- stay within my point range
- drink at least 6 glasses of water per day
- strength train 3 times per week
- do cardio 4 times per week
- do Pilates or yoga or Body Flow at least once per week

My reward will be a new outfit. Six lb from now I should fit comfortably into a size 14.

Saskiemom:

I bought the 2 mile tape but since I only started last week I have been doing the 1st mile then the cool-down. So far I have walked 9 miles. My goal is to do 1 mile before going to work then work up to doing 2 miles at night for a daily total of 3 miles. It will be awhile until I get into that routine. Also I don't have the weights but I am going to buy the dumbbell kind this weekend.

I really like these tapes. To get in a mile in 15 min without leaving the house is awesome and it really makes me feel good first thing in the morning. Can really feel it in my butt & thighs.

How long have you been doing them?

Welcome, Chrm32!!
please excuse my typing, i have dd in one arm!
Bandit2- i have been using the 1 mile walk for a few months now, usually 2-3 times a week. i have not used it in a week or so, though, because it has been nice enough to go outside! i really like the video, though, it is easy but upbeat! i really feel it in my arms when i use my dumbells! for the first month i gad to do it with my dd in her snuggli on my chest- that was a heck of a workout!!!

we went swimming this morning for 40 minutes- not a great workout for anything except my arms, but dd loved it! we are heading out for a big walk this afternoon, dd will be on my back, so that will be an extra 15+lbs to carry!

have a great day!!

Default Can I join?

I am new to this thread, but not new to 3fatchicks.

I rejoined WW in January and I am down 10.6 lbs.

I currently weigh 219.4 by Easter I would like to lose 4 lbs.
How am I going to accomplish this? By eating within my point range. Working out 3 to 6 days a week. Drinking all my water.

Thanks,
Susan

Hi, Susan! Welcome to the challenge! Sounds like you have a good plan of attack!

I love this nice weather! Today I did 2 miles of WAWTP video, and went for a walk to the playground with my dd and "Little Sister", it was 20 minutes both ways. Another good exercise day! This weather definitely boosts my spirits, and even if the numbers on the scale aren't moving, I feel excellent!

Two good days so far. Ate within my points and journaled yesterday and today. Drank my water yesterday though not today - I'll do better with that one tomorrow. Yesterday I did an upper body workout and the 3 mi WATP. Today did a 60 min. Pilates class.

I'm aiming for another good one tomorrow.

Thanks for the welcome.

I stayed within my points yesterday. Did an upper body work out, an ab workout and walked 20 minutes. Drank lots of water my goal is 3 liters a day or more.

The weather here had been beautiful, however, today is overcast and cooler. But that's better than snow!

Sounds like everyone here is focused on their Easter goal.

SaskieMom what is WAWTP video.

Chrim32 have some friends who really enjoy Pilates - but I have never tried it - how long have you been doing it?

A reward for getting to my Easter goal - one of two things either work on my scrapbook for four hours - which I rarely get to do anymore or buy myself a new novel.

WATP video is Walk Away the Pounds, a video good for uncoordinated people like myself! I just switched from the 1 mile to the 3 mile, and it is great!!!
I am having a great week, though the #'s aren't reflecting it yet. I did 125 ab crunches, and dd and i are going walking right away. Also, I am trying the cola chicken recipe for supper- it is already in the crockpot!! Hopefully this will help me stay on track through my sister's surprise visit this weekend!
Have a good Friday everyone!!!

Good morning everyone,

Another good day yesterday. Except for the water. I'm going to have to work on that one. You'd think that would be the easiest part but I seem to be having lots of trouble with it this time around. I don't mind drinking water, I just haven't been thinking about it. I'll have to work on that one.

I walked for 30 min. at lunch yesterday. I was planning on Body Pump too but after being on my feet all day I just didn't feel like moving last night. Today I'll do a video - I found a Firm tape not even opened yet. Wonder how long ago I bought that? Maybe I'll give it a shot instead of WATP for a change. I'm pretty uncoordinated but I'll give it a try.

I just started Pilates. Thursday was my first class and it was great. I thought it would be really hard, maybe even painful, but it wasn't. There were lots of options for all the moves, and though I'm not ready to even try the advanced version of most moves, at least I managed the beginner or intermediate. I'm sure that over the next few months my core muscles will keep getting stronger. And I felt great at the end of the class.

Hi everyone:

Glad everyone is OP & focussed. Did the whole WATP 2 mile yesterday. Bought some weights last night & did the whole tape again today using the weights. I feel great.

Welcome Susan and hope you enjoy the challenge.

I have been good this week and have exercised everyday, so hopefully Mon I will be down.

Saskie - good exercising this week. Let me know how that chicken turns out. I have been meaning to try it. Sounds yummy.

I have a birthday party tonight & a dance. Always something to challenge me on the weekends.

Have a good one.
