I lost 2 lb. this week. So 2.5 lost for the challenge so far. Another 1/2 lb. and I'll be back where I was a month ago. I'm hoping for 1.5 next week so that I'm in fresh territory and can feel like I'm losing again.

Good job SaskieMom. All that walking sure helps.

Tomorrow I get my body fat measured at the gym. I'm not sure if I want to see the result or not. But it will be interesting to see how my body fat % changes over the next few months.

Is it ever going to be spring??!! I'm so sick of snow and ice.

Angry

I had Wi on April 6th lost 2# so I did have a loss . This week is not going well went op all week so far starting fresh tomarrow one day at a time no guilt get over it move on that is what I keep telling my self. Any way have been doing some form of excercise. at least 30 mins. daily. I have also been drinking a lot of water.
I am not drinking enough still but I am still getting in at least 3- 8 oz glasses daily as apposed to 0 glasses. I am still snacking at night. could this be because I don't drink enough water.

Chris- Way to go! That will be cool to see how much body fat you lose in the next little while! I wish I had done that, or at least measured my body to see how many inches I lose! Thats really great that you are almost into new territory. Do you go to the gym quite a bit?
Is it still pretty snowy out where you live?
Judmom- Congrats on the great loss! All your hard work paid off! At least you are getting in exercise and increasing water, even if you are struggling with pts. The snacking could be partly caused by not enough water- you may be thirsty but interpret it as hunger. You can try drinking some water before you let yourself eat anything. This will increase your water intake as well as filling you up so there is less room for food!
I used to have a rule that I had to have all my pts in by 9pm- this helped cut back on nightime snacking! I think I am going to implement this rule again!

I got my day off to a great start- went walking before dh and dd were up, with a friend. We are going to try to go whenever possible. There is still snow on the ground, but it should be gone later today. It is already 2 degrees, and is supposed to go up to 21 later today!!! I am so pumped!
The biggest obstacle for me today is that I have to go to a bridal shower tonight for a close friend. I know there will be fruit or veggies there, but there will also be other higher pts treats. I am taking taco dip, but plan to use low fat sour cream and cream cheese. I am going to get an extra walk in sometime, and be very careful. I think I will buy carrots to eat while I am making the dip (this is a difficult snacking time for me!) and a big pack of gum to keep my mouth occupied! Also, I will save pts for the evening!
Hope everyone has a great day! Happy exercising!

Nice losses, ladies & good luck tonight, Saskie with your shower.

Taco dip sounds yummy - what's in it?

Default Taco Dip

It IS yummy. I did good, not tasting while making it. Then dh came home for lunch and decided to eat the mini dip I made him- I ended up eating ~4pts worth too. i gave him 6" of my sub to compensate!
The dip is:
- base- 8oz light cream cheese, 1 tub light sour cream, 1 pkg taco seasoning blended together
- a layer of salsa
- a layer of green onion, then peppers, then lettuce
- a layer of shredded cheese
Serve with nacho chips!
It really isn't that bad for pts if you make the base layer thin and use only a thin layer of shredded cheese- and lots of finely chopped veggies!

SaskieMom - your dip sounds so good. I'm not sure I could exercise much portion control with it. How did you do at the shower?

Judmom - congrats on the 2lb. loss. Don't worry if you have a bad day. Just put it behind you and commit to doing better the next day.

I'm trying to take this one day at a time right now and not look too far ahead. Yesterday I had a great OP day - within points, journaled, exercised, drank water. So today I'm commiting to one more OP day. So far, so good. I did the 2 mi Walk Away the Pounds this morning and I have a Pilates class tonight.

My body fat % is 36.8. Sounds pretty bad but it was 47.8 when I started working out in September so at least it's moving in the right direction. I'll just keep on doing what I've been doing and see where it is in two more months.

Finally, some decent weather. Bright and sunny today. It's supposed to hit 11 this afternoon so I'm hoping that most of the snow will be gone by tomorrow. I always do so much better in the spring than I do during the winter.

Have a great day everyone!

Chris

Chris- Wow, you have lost a lot of body fat!! Way to go!!

The shower was ok- ate more than I should have but also walked in the am, carried dd around lots, and had less pts for lunch & supper. It should be ok! I will be away from home Fri/Sat/Sun, so I will have more challenges ahead...like Chris said, I am going to take it 1 day at a time! I only need to lose .2 to make my challenge goal...that is my goal for the week!

Hi everyone:

Had w/i last night & was only down .2# Thought it would be more since I stayed within range & walked 12 miles. Go figure.
The lady at ww said she thought I didn't eat enough with the exercising - but I find that hard to believe. Hoping for better next week.

Bye for now & keep up the good work.

bandit2- the lady may be right, i have to eat a lot more pts than WW recommends for my ht and wt. everyone's body is different and requires different pts to lose!

WI tonight, expecting (deserving) a gain, had only 3 OP days, although did exercise every day. will report back later!

Hey all! I had a .2# gain. Honestly, it was completely worth it. Now I am ready to get back at it!
I walked for an hour in the sleet and snow this morning, and also did 150 abs. I am taking dd swimming later this morning. I feel great!
This weekend will be hard, I am hosting a bridal shower and a stagette on Saturday. I have a birthday supper Friday, and Easter supper on Sunday. Need to bank pts early and walk lots this week!
How is everyone doing as the Easter Challenge comes to an end? I have .4# to lose by Sunday. Shouldn't be a problem!

Hi everyone:

Saskiemom - maybe it's right that I didn't eat enough points, but it sure is disappointing when you've stuck with everthing & don't show a good loss. Anyway, enough complaining from me.

You sure have alot of temptations coming up & with planning I know you will get through it. I have to lose 4# by Monday to make Easter challenge goal.

Anyway hope everyone banks some points for the weekend.

Bye for now.

Hi everyone:

Well I was up .2# last night. Only lost 1 # for the challenge.
How did everyone else end up? Are you all up for another one?

Have a good week.
