Amy,we want to hear from you everyday good or bad.Last year I hit a alltime low for this journey,had a vacation to go on.A week before I lost it and ate everything in sight.Why we do this to ourselves I have no clue.Turn it around and think whats 2.5 weeks,I can do anything for a measly couple weeks.Commit to stay on track for the next 2 weeks instead of going nuts.If you behave til vacation you will feel better to relax the strictness when you are on it.

I have seen posts about the new Fibre One bars.I decided to try them.I bought the peanut butter ones.2points.I have never found a bar I like but this one is the exception.Yummo.9 grams of fibre to boot.

Good sign, here I am on here again and it hasn't even been 24 hours. I poured out my crystal light this morning. My stomach has been feeling bad for a few days. I have been drinking a lot of that stuff. I am going to try to de-tox today. Not so much artificial sweeteners. Not so much real sugar either for that matter. I had my oatmeal for breakfast and am headed to the gym. Thanks for your support fitbyforty. It feels good to have some support. I want to have an on point day today. Scale this AM said 172 from 174??? I am really going to try to refocus. Thanks, Amy

I hear you about the artificial sweeteners.I can drink crystal lite but not on a regular basis.I get horrible stomach and gas pains from it.Sorbital causes symptoms that mimic irritable bowel syndrome.

Oh my gosh. You may have just helped me make a big change!!! I don't even know what sorbital is (or however you spell it). I will tell you this. I was diagnosed with IBS in 1992. However, I have not had many symptoms from it since then. When I started doing WW a year ago, I did start to have some symptoms but had a feeling they were somehow self induced. I get a very bloated stomach (mostly in the evenings). Sometimes I have to sit up in bed and belch for a half an hour or so to feel better. You can imagine how romantic that is. My DH was probably thinking I put a new spin on the "I have a head ache" thing. Anyway, I think I am really going to try a new approach starting today. I am going to try to avoid the splenda and what not. It may be hard but God I have to do something. I actually feel pretty good today (mentally). I want to sweep everything out of my fridge and pantry and go buy a ton of fruits and veggies. At least then my only risk is Ecoli (ha, ha, ha). That has been all too rampid over the past few months. I would really hate to lose all my weight just to die early from cancer induced by my "diet" foods. Perhaps I will eat VERY small amounts of the sweets I desire every now and then. Hope that works. Thanks for the info. I will let you all know how the next few days go good or bad ;) --Amy

Just ate lunch. canned chicken (love the stuff) 4 pts bread 1pt mustard zippo cheetos 2pts 10 out of 22 points. 12 left for the day. I worked out and burned 260 calories. I may have a non fat mocha later. I feel like one in a spoil me sort of way. Will check in later tonight. --Amy |
Stayed home from the gym today.The weather isn't great.

I did it!!!! I had an OP day!!!! I took the kids to Panda Express for dinner because we were in a rush. Had to buy four gifts for the four parties we are going to this weekend. Then we had to do a shift at a Girl Scout cookie booth. Anyway, I got the Panda Bowl with steamed rice and Mandarin Chicken (no sauce). I came home and immediately put 1/2 of it in a tupperware bowl. It is way too much. So, I am sure I was within points. I did not get my mocha today. My tummy is still giving me problems. Anyway, I am happy!!! Thanks for the support! --Amy

Jennifer I tried the cc ones last night and didn't care for it.I will stick to pb,problem is I liked it so much I thought about them all day.I had 3 bars yesterday and you can imagine all that fibre...I am only going to eat one a day.The last thing I need is another food I binge on.Good job Amy,staying OP makes your day and boosts the confidence,I screwed up and had pizza but it's a new day and I swear that there will be no eating out this week.Will post my food after. |

Thanks for the welcome. My day was not so good. I still ate some of those blasted Girl Scout cookies and I'm pretty sure I didn't count how many (how convenient! LOL!) Anyhow...back OP tomorrow. Will try to PLAN my day: Breakast 1 slice wheat bread - 2 1T Peanut butter - 3 Coffee with 2 sweet/low, 1/4c 2% milk - 1 Lunch Grilled chicken/bacon salad at McD's - 6 Lite balsamic vinaigrette - 1 Water Dinner Not sure yet And my goal is to get all my h2o drunk! |
Hello all! Welcome back from the weekend to some of us ;) I did okay over the weekend. I only ate cake at two parties (the ones with the best cake). The one party knows I am WW so they buy me the FF hot dogs and light buns. They also always have baked chips. I drank water there. Did fine. Glad the weekend is over. I have also sworn off the GS cookies. I have gone three days without in a row now. Yipee! That is some serious success for me. I went tot he gym today and even got some cardio in. AHHH feels so good. According to my monitor, I burned 350 calories yeah again.

Still doing okay today. It has been kind of funny, but okay.
lunch grilled cheese 2pts cheetos 2pts 2 chicken nuggets 2pts some of son's fries 1pt That's 10 out of my 22. We are having meatball sandwiches for dinner. Have not pointed them out. I will eat half and a large salad. I also ate a snack but call it wash on the days I work out with the trainer. I had 2.5 points worth of FF yogurt,frozen blueberries,and go lean crunch. Hello guys. I didn't post yesterday. We had a funeral for my grandmother yesterday and it was a strange day to say the least. Eating went well. Had fruit for breakfast. Went to Famous Dave's for dinner. Ate 1/3 corn muffin, very few fries, 1 rib and three slices of brisket. Not too bad.
Today...... breakfast oatmeal 3 workout and yogurt snack-a wash lunch most of a 6" ham sub from Subway with no cheese and veggies and mustard (I ate about 3/4 of it) 5pts baked lays 2pts snack fiber one bar (thanks fitbyforty) 3pts dinner will be chick-fil-a salad and I have 9 points for that. I will pick off the cheese and not do croutons or sunflower seeds. Should work out okay. I have stuck to my guns on the artificial sweetener. Have not had any since I decided to stop. Thanks for your info on that. I will post again tomorrow. --Amy |
Me again. Where is everyone? Come on........I can be gone for several days but as soon as I'm back on here, I expect everyone to be. Ha ha ha. I went and weighed in tonight for the first time in three weeks. I am down 2 pounds!!! Yipee!!!! I guess I will keep on going. 15 more to go to goal. Man! I just wish I could get this done. I did get the salad for dinner. I did also eat the croutons and the sunflower seeds. Oops! Oh well. I am heading out of town on Friday and will be gone for two weeks. I will have access to a friend's computer, so I do plan on checking in every now and then. See you tomorrow. = ==Amy

Sorry I've been MIA. I've been sick in bed w/bronchitis and a fever since Tuesday. Didn't attend my meeting Wed, but as of this morning I'm down to 192.4. I know it's a false loss, due to my not eating much the last couple days...but I'm still smiling :) I'm home today too, but feeling alittle better...am thinking of going to the noon meeting in town, just to get myself back in the groove of things. Will let everyone know what they say. |

I am also sorry I haven't posted in a few days.I woke up Tues. morning and could barely walk.Somehow I screwed up my back again.I am seeing a chiropractor tomorrow.My eating has been soso.Tues we had pizza which wasn't good.Yesterday I hardly ate during the day and I managed to be upright long enough to make enchiladas for supper.Which I threw up an hour later.I am not a happy camper,being an active person I find it very distressing to be down and out.I have high hopes for tomorrow and maybe then I can get my weightloss back on track.My goal is 16 weeks away and the way things are going I am not going to make it. |

Hi guys!!! I am back from vacation. I am so happy to back in sunny Arizona. Don't know how you all cope with the cold and snow. Brrrrrrr! I did not eat well at all. I actually went and weighed in on last Wed (can't remember the date) but it was a week and a half ago. Anyway, I was back up to 173.8. That was a three pound gain. Weighed as soon as I got home today and my scale said 170.8. I think I may have managed to not gain any weight.
Anyhow, I will be right back on program tomorrow. Hope to see everyone posting a bit more. I missed the "support" ---Amy |
Hi again. Hope somebody joins me here. I miss everyone!!! I went to my meeting last night. I had gained 3 while in Minnesota and was down 2.2 last night. So, that put me at 171.6 :smug: I feel pretty confident that I will lose this week. I want to so badly. Missing the gym today because my son has a field trip with his Pre-K class. We are going to a Museum. I am looking forward to it.

Hello Kim!! Thanks so much for the post. I have not lost the gained weight from vacation. In fact, I skipped meeting on Tuesday because I am up even more. My scale here at home reads 174. GRRR........ I have not been able to get fully back on program for some time now. I am really trying today though. I "confessed" to my husband last night. He is really supportive no matter what I am doing be it good or bad. Anyway, I will start journaling my food here again if you are interested. Let me know. Nice to meet you too.

Nothing for breakfast. I know that is not good but I wasn't feeling well when I got up so I didn't eat. Lunch 2 slices weight watchers bread 1 pt 2 tsp light miracle whip 1 pt 1/2 cup tuna 3 pts chopped onion 0 pts banana 2 pts Supper 2 fish cakes cooked in olive oil 7 pts mustard pickles 1 pt 1 cup raspberries 1 pt 3 tbsp light cool whip 1 pt That's 17 points but I have to work tonight so I need a few for my popcorn and coffee... breakfast 2 slices light bread 1pt jelly 1pt work out at the gym. 20 minutes cardio (100 calories) 30 minutes with trainer (200 calories).. so far so good. RIGHT???? well..........lunch my sister hand her mother in law invited me and my two kids to lunch. We went to a place at our mall called Ruby's Diner. They have the best shakes there. So I had one :( and I had a salad that had egg (maybe 1) and sliced bacon on it. I had a honey mustard dressing and dipped in it instead of pouring on the salad. I am going to guess 7 or 8 points for the salad. Who knows on the shake 10????? Good news is I went shopping for some shorts. This is good news because I bought none. I am right smack dab in-between a size 12 and 14. For some reason I feel pretty motivated now. I really want to be a 10. My cousin is getting married on May 19th. I would LOVE to be able to get a cute halter type dress. My body needs a make over before that though. So, I have just over a month to do it. I am considering doing boot camp at my gym too. It is three days a week for 6 weeks. We would meet from 5:30 to 6:30am. I would be home in time to get kids ready for school and start my day. I want to do it but not alone. We will see if I can get the guts to do it. Anyway, thanks for listening. Will check in tomorrow. --Amy |
You can get down to that size 10 if you really put your mind to it Amy. I feel the same way. I have my fathers 65th birthday party in June, one of my best friend's wedding in July, and another cousin's wedding in August. I want to be into a smaller size so bad I can taste it. I don't want to spend another summer hating the idea of putting on a pair of shorts.
I am also going on a trip next Feb. to the Dominican so I want to look good in a bathing suit since that's all I'm planning on wearing....LOL You didn't do too bad with your eating....The salad sounded good and not too bad in points. The shake...I don't know. But sometimes when you really want something you are better off giving in and having it because if you deprive yourself of it you could end up sabotoging yourself. Good morning, afternoon, or evening Kim. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I am at a point where I really need them. We ended up going out to eat last night. We went to a fast food chain called El Pollo Loco. I got a Pollo bowl. I think it was a better choice for what they offer. I was still way over points last night. I am going to stay OP today. I even have a birthday party to go to and am not worried.
Breakfast light bread with 0 pt butter 1pt hard cooked egg 2pts I am going to run some errands this morning before the party. I hope to go alone and have some "me" time. I really need it. Plus, I am hitting a craft store and don't really need the kiddos there with. Have a good day/night. --Amy |
