Hey Yall... I'm down 6lbs total now!!!!!! The scale showed me down 2 more this morning from a few days ago so I am doing very well and very shocked!! The pounds lost on the scale is my motivation to keep going! :D
Anyways... here's todays food list.. Breakfast Pops cereal (w/ milk) = 5 pts _________________ TOTAL = 5 pts Lunch Grilled Cheese /w tomatoe = 2 pts Chips = 1 pt. ________________ TOTAL = 3 pts. Dinner Broccli & Cheese Roasted Potatoes = 4 pts. 2 slices of bread = 1 pt. ___________________ 5 pts. That's only 13 points, so I need way more to at least get me to 20. I'm just NOT hungry.. but I will find something yummy to snack on sinec we just went grocery shopping. :) I also did 1-mile workout with WATPs today!! YAY! |
Jenn, Do you only allow yourself 20 pts a day? I'm just worried that maybe you're not eating enough. Try to be sure you get your minimum allowed pts in each day :) Congrats however, on an awesome loss...YOU GO GIRL!!!
This weekend has stunk! I don't think I'm eating as badly as pre-ww, but the last few days have been very hard, I've never thought of myself as a stress eater, but maybe I am...The fiasco with our son last week may be lurking deep inside more than I thought, and so I'm not as cautious of my eating habits. Here's today B: slim fast 3pts, 2 slices ww bread 1pt L: 7 RF Triscuits 2pts, laughing cow cheese wedge 1pt, apple 1pt S: ww 2pt bar D: 1cup taco soup 2pts, 1/4c. cheese 2pts, 7 baked tostitos 1pt I had the soup, family got pizza...I had a slice :( 5pts That's 20 out of 26. I have both milks in, 1 fruit, no oil. I guess it could be worse, and I guess I could say I got most of another veg in my soup, considering the ingredients. We'll see what the scale shows tomorrow.... *Fingers crossed* |

I can understand that, sometimes I feel I'm eating just to reach my pt level. The leaders keep preaching that we shouldn't have to do that, if we use our points daily the correct way, but I still sometimes end up with several pts after a day of satisfied eating. If around dinner time, I'm still low on pts I'll sometimes eat a higher dinner, add some reg. butter to that potato, or eat corn instead of green beans to up my pts, etc.

I am a lurker and have a question. When I make a grilled cheese sandwhich it is 2 per bread, 1 at least for cheese, 1 for butter so that is at least 6 pts.. How can this be done for only 3pts??

You use lower point bread.If you go back to page 5 there are a couple different breads mentioned that are one point for 2 slices.

I can make a grilled cheese for 3 pts by using WW wheat bread, 2 slices is 1pt, I spray the bread with ICBINB spray, and use 1 slice american cheese which is 2pts. You could lower it to 2pts if you used FF american cheese, but I personally will sacrifice 1pt for the good stuff :)
My day in a nut shell: B: shredded wheat and bran 3pts 1c. milk 2pts 1 banana 2pts L: apple 1pt 7 RF Triscuits 2pts 1 wedge laughing cow cheese 1pt S: 2pt ww bar D: 3oz. bourbon chicken 4pts 1 potato 1pt green beans 0pts That's 18pts out of 28. I honestly don't know why I'm so low today...I guess not packing a bag full of food at work does help, or hurt...I normally pack a lunch bag full of different things, yogurt, apple, granola bars, etc....Today kids in our town were called off school cuz of snow, and so I knew I'd come home for lunch to check on my munchkin, so I figured I didn't need that bag...guess I shoulda at least taken some snacks. |
Yup.. when I make the grilled cheese, I use the bread that is 2 slices for 1 pt. and then the fat free cheese that is 1 pt each and the spray butter that is 0 everything.. ;).

Okay, I have to get me some of that bread then. The bread I am using is what I thought was a very healthy choice, Dempsters 12 Grain bread.. but it is 2 points per slice..

There may be others as well.Take your points slider with you when you go to the grocery store and check different brands.

Hello everyone. Boy! I worked my tail off yesterday. I wish. I did over eat due to stress. I guess you and I both learned that about ourselves this week Jennifer. I sat at my computer and ate and ate and ate. Haven't done much better today. DH went shopping for me on Sunday. I asked for baked Cheetos. He brought back a normal huge bag. So, I have almost emptied that booger. I really need the 100 calorie packs. Even zip lock baggies won't help me. today......

Weigh in is tomorrow, and I too, am not looking forward to it. I did fairly well yesterday and today, and not totally wrong the past week but the scale looks up 1lb. I guess after a week w/a 4 1/2lb loss I can't expect all weeks to be kind, just chuck it off as a lesson learned and try harder next week, right?

I found these Multigrain Thomas English Muffins Light - they are a nice size and only 1 point ..... I ate one at 8:30 this morning and was satisfied until about Noon .... I had 2 Muffins today with Spray butter - 2 pts Salad w/Fat Free Ceaser Italian , 3 oz of chicken - 5pts 1 kosher dill pickle --------------------------- 0 pts 1 Grande Non Fat Sugar Free Latte ----------- 3 pts 1 El Pollo Loco Chicken Breasts ------------- 4 pts 2 corn Tortilla ------------------------------ 2 pts Mashed Potato & Gravy ----------------- 2 pts 1 WW Chocolate bar --- (mini) ------------------ 1 pt 1 egg roll ----------------------------------------- 5pts 24 pts total I weighed in today and am down 1.8 :) |
Stupid scale, lol...I weighed in at home, and I am def. up about 1lb or so...now I don't want to go to my meeting :(
I even got dressed up cute today to go, my husband said I look 18 yrs old again! I got a really cute striped thin sweater w/hood at the store yesterday and am wearing it w/a denimn skirt and tights...he loves it, wonders why I don't wear skirts more often! I just shook my head and reminded him that #1. I work in the medical field, and #2. I'm a mom!! We don't do housework well in skirts! haha...I felt good about myself this am (before the scale) and thought I'd kinda dress up...I can't/won't let the # get to me, I FEEL GOOD! Isn't that what it's all about? Who cares if I'm up 1lb, right? I'll get to my goal, it just might take my body alittle longer, esp. if my mouth keeps eating what it shouldn't. I just sometimes feel though, that my body refuses to stay under 200. It seems whenever I get under, I pop back up again...I soooooo want to see 189 on the scale, to know I'm far enough away that a small relapse in eating won't push me over again. My ultimate is 170. I'm more than halfway there with a starting weight of 235 in June 2005. I just needed to type the pep-talk I'm having with myself this morning :) thanks for listening! |
Just an FYI, in case you saw the diff. numbers...I changed my high weight on my profile. My beginning weight was 235, my WW weight was 219. I had my WW weight on here for the longest time, but hey...I was heavier and I'm proud of my loss so far, might as well come clean and show the real high, even though it was before ww. Right?

Hi there. Me again. I think I am the only one who posts on here multiple times a day. I am on and off the computer all day. So I know it is easier for me that way. My thoughts from earlier today are gone. They dissolved along with my energy for the day. I am so tired. Here is my entire day....
Breakfast 2/3 of a packet of oatmeal 2 Workout about 400 calories Lunch rye bread 2 Hillshire Farms Pastrami 1 mustard and spray butter 0 (I grilled this and had a hot pastrami. I have been so in the mood and the rye bread was great). kettle bakes 2 snack 100 calorie grasshopper cookies 2 1 smart portion brownie thingy from a friend 1.5 dinner a divine 4oz steak 6 a largish potato 3 spray butter light sour cream 1 salad 0 Newman's own lighten up dressing 1 green beans 0 This was a fantastic dinner!!! Yesterday was kinda blah, I didn't follow program at all....figures, huh? Makes me want to re-read my own words and start listening to myself! I feel down and out today, woke up feeling sad and think it all boils down to a crappy eating day yesterday, nothing else is really wrong..so it must be regret. I need a good loss to jump start my motivation again, yeah I know, I lost 4.5 last week but....I have been fighting the 195-200's for months...I need to see the scale below to get me to realize I can go lower...I almost feel like my body is stuck at this weight and doesn't want to move. Does that make sense? I will be elated to be 189!!! |

You will get there. I was just telling my husband last night that I feel I will never get out of the 170's. I sure will try though.
Took my daughter to the ortho today. UGH!!! $2980 for phase one. That is before she even gets braces on. Her mouth is a huge mess. She will have other hardware for about two years. breakfast oatmeal 3 lunch Peter Piper Pizza 8 salad (brought my dressing again) 1 came home and munched on son's dry cereal that I left in his bowl GRRRR! It was frosted flakes. 100 cal cheetos 2pts here goes dinner...... kung pao chicken ???? yummy brown rice 5 edamame 5 Guess I used some flex points tonight. On the breakfast buffet.......use some of your flex points. You get 35 per week. pre plan dinner and lunch before you go. maybe if you want a real low dinner, have your subway again. You will be fine. Don't deprive yourself and not go. Tis better to go now than when you are not doing so well and really over do it. You'll be fine. Best of luck. Wish me luck on not having cake and ice cream at the three birthday parties we are going to this weekend. have a good weekend!!!! |

Ugh!! Just checking in, we are back from breakfast-just waiting for this place to open, so we are at the work office for the time being. :( I totally let myself down today.. the FIRST and ONLY day I will ever do this!!! I never thought I'd feel so bad.. but now I feel like such a failure to myself and it's nto a good feeling at all. :( Maybe it's what I needed to do to remind myself of how much I want my goal.. and to set my eyes that much more opened for it ?? Oh well.... nothing else for me today to eat but my water and maybe a light, light dinner!!! Not a GOOD way to start my day!!! :(

IT'S OKAY!!!! Turn those negative feelings into your positive attitudes. We all have those days. If we didn't we would not remember why we are doing this, why we want it so badly, or even why it is best for our health. The most difficult thing for me is getting over feeling bad. Most of us probably don't eat too well when we mentally don't feel well. Go back and look at your success OR go find some before and after picks on this site. That helps me a ton.
I managed to do well at the three parties last night and today. Just about 1/2 a piece of cake last night. None today. I ate two slices of cheese pizza for lunch today at one party. breakfast a smart portion brownie thing I found in the van on the way to the a.m. party :shrug: 1.5pts lunch 2 slices cheese pizza 8pts Going out on date night tonight. I know we are going out to eat. I can't wait. I will do my best but will use some of the extra 35 points. --Amy |
Ok, here goes...we're back on track as of today. I had an eye opener yesterday when I realized most stores have bathing suits out!!!!!! YIKES!

I honestly am not hungry today, prob. due to all the crap I consumed the past 2 weeks...apparently my idea of ww is 1 week on, 2 off. Enough is enough. (have I said that before? :) ) |
Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was good other than the fact that I played all weekend so I had to work late last night and early this morning. Did you guys hear? Phoenix got snow yesterday. It has been down right chilly around here. I was born here and this is one of the coldest winters I have seen in a very long time. Anyway, I did not count points all weekend but ate fairly well. I am very excited to weigh in tomorrow. I haven't eaten anything yet today. This is not on purpose, but because of lack of time. I am going to have a sandwich, chips, and a salad for lunch. Thinking about chili for dinner since it is so cold out. Will check in later. Have a good one. --Amy

Today was weird. I ate all day long, I am within points, but I typically don't use them in such small numbers all day through.
B: bluberry bran muffin, banana 3.5 L: laughing cow cheese 1pt, RF triscuits 2pts, apple 1pt 1 dove chocolate 1pt S: muffin 1.5pts, 40 cal water 1pt S: 100 cal cookies 2pts D: egg mcmuffin frozen thingie, not too bad, however I overcooked it 5pts 8oz lite OJ 1pt I have our PTA meeting tonight, so I needed to grab a fast dinner and we were talking about these mcmuffin things at our meeting, they aren't bad at all. That's 19/26. |
K for Dinner I had salsbury steak w/ mac and cheese = 5 pts, 1 cup of green beans = 0 pts., and bread = 1 pt. That's a total of only 6 pts for dinner, brings me to 16 pts for the day!!! Hmmm.. I may have a snack later on with a rice cake or 2 with peanut butter on them (6 pts if I eat 2), that will be 22 pts. Still to low!!!

That's the way I am too, trust me!! That's why I MAKE myself do the portions right when I go to put the groceries up!! If not, it'll never get done and I'll guess and well, the whole bag would be GONE!
