Howdy!
Well, I'm alittle nervous today...I have a dinner out w/friends planned for this evening and weigh in is first thing tomorrow am. My girlfriend, who is doing ww also, is going, however, I know she'll order steak, potato, and a salad and I'm not sure I want to go that route right before weigh in. She's down 60lbs, so she knows her body and that won't affect her...I'm terrified if I eat anything like that, tonight...I'll not have the loss I'm so hoping for. I know the steak place we're going to, we go there often so I know the menu...I'm thinking of just a grilled chicken salad and barbeque sauce on the side. I know, I know...call me crazy, but I love my chick. salads dipped in bbq sauce...much less pts than dressing and much better than the FF stuff. Here's how I have my day planned in my head: I'll let ya know how it turns out B: slim fast/banana/oil 6pts L: healthy choice ham on ww bread 2pts, apple 1pt, baked chips 2pts S: 60cal pudding 1pt The girl at work always has those darn dove choc. so I budgeted for 1-2 of them today, lets say I do eat 2=2pts That's 14 out of 28. I have 14pts left for dinner...I should be able to do the salad w/that, no problem! :) Chicken 3pts, egg 2pts, cheese 2pts, bbq sauce 2pts=9pts roughly. It just might work!! |
Ok, so I don't want to blow your plan, but what I have been doing a lot lately is splitting meals out. If your WW friend would be interested you could split a steak and get your own salad. We even split baked potatoes because they are always huge in restaurants. Just an idea. Your salad does sound good though. You can and will make it work one way or another.
I ended up sending DH out for frozen yogurt last night. That ended up being better than anything I would have eaten at home while transcribing. Breakfast oatmeal 3pts lunch peanut butter sandwich 3pts 100 calorie cheetos 2pts I hope to only eat popcorn before my weigh in tonight. I am really hoping to see a two pound loss. I have to get to 20 by mid March. I will post tonight after my meeting. Have a great afternoon. --Amy |

Toast w/ spray butter = 2 points Banana = 2 points ____________________ TOTAL = 4 points Lunch Broccoli & Cheddar Roasted Potatoes = 4 points 2 slices of Bread = 1 point ________________________ TOTAL = 5 points ~Dinner~ Subway - Roasted Chicken Breast (with cheese) = 9 points (with) Ranch / 2 tblspoons = 1 point Chips = 1 point ____________________________________ TOTAL = 11 points __________________________________________________ ___ I'm only at 20 points but I feel sooo full... Not really sure what to do.. I guess I need to snack more, it's not like I don't have any in here. I am going to get me a snack, which I normally don't eat after 8pm, but I need to up my points a little. maybe some fruit and a rice cake..lol. I dunno... that will give me 2 more points, which will be 22, and I need 28.. what should I do?? |
okay.. I ended up getting me a 100 calorie pack-Ritz snack mix = 2 points. So that brings up the total for today to 22 points...

Well, today's the day...My first WI since Oct. I'm nervous, only cuz I know what my scale says and so my expectations are high. I did really well last night, I had 1/2 of my steak (4.5pts) 1/2 my potato (1.5 pts, butter is 2pts) and 1/2 my salad w/bbq as my dressing (1pt). It was a very stressful afternoon, my son misbehaved in school, somewhat seriously and so my anxiety was very high...I couldn't have eaten more if I tried. Hopefully things get back on track on all aspects and life moves forward on a positive note. Please pray for my son and our family. He's a great kid, just sometimes his brain doesnt' think before his mouth does.

SweetCakes you should really consider adding milk to your diet.We need at least 800mg of calcium a day.If we don't get it our body takes it from our bones.I know that doesn't seem real right now but it asyou get older it will be a problem.People are being diagnosed earlier and earlier with osteporosis.Just a suggestion.Plus it will help you get your points.

Yeah I really need to, but I HATE milk..lol. Wonder if taking a calcium pill or whatever will help me with that area ?? |
That sounds like a good idea SweetCakes.It certainly couldn't hurt.There are other ways to get calcium too which I am sure you know.Do you like yogurt?Weight Watchers makes a good one that doesn't taste like yogurt which is why I like it.I hate yogurt.Cheese of course.Have you tried milk with some chocolate powder?Chocolate milk even.I should be getting more myself but I am too stingy with my points lol.Starting today I will make that change and drink a big glass.I work out 2 hours most days I can afford a glass of milk:)

I've never had yogurt, the one time I can remember I had it, I didn't like it. lol I may have to try the WW yogurt tho, I'll try that and see if I like it. If nothing else, I'll get a pill for it. haha I do like cheese, I guess I could add that to some of my food... It's 2 points for a slice of cheese right ??

I get the Natures Own-White Wheat.. It's way less calories than reg. bread and with the points calculator its 2 slices = 1 point!!! Very good bread too.. :)

Before I forget, Fit by Forty......I eat Sara Lee Delightful whole wheat bread. It is great. Even Aunt Hatties makes bread that is 2 for 1 point. That has been a true lifestyle change for me along with the whole wheat pasta.
Okay, so last night was weigh in. I did it!! I made my two pound goal. For those of us re-joining or re-starting or re-anything. We need to remember how flexible this program is. It is so doable. I ate a choc. dipped cone, choc. cake, pecan pie. and had a couple beers over last week. I used all my 35 flex points. Now, I don't plan to do this every week, but we were with friends and family all last weekend. That is real life for me. Anyway, we need to not be too strict while on this. If we want to not binge and fall "off the wagon" we need to indulge within our points. Okay, off my soap box. I am just very happy. Today so far has been good. Breakfast energy bar 3pts lunch bread 1 Hillshire pastrami 1 Cheese 2 mustard 0 100 calorie cheetos 2 I worked out for 50 minutes today. Tomorrow I am supposed to hit the gym at 6am for cardio. We will see if I can get my transcribing done this afternoon. I have long tapes with a girl scout cookie meeting today as well. Cookie selling starts Saturday. I buy WW wheat bread, it's 1pt for 2 slices and I like it fairly well...it is alittle dense but it works :)
I agree completely with buffalosister, this diet IS doable...You can have the fun things and still lose! Did I confess last week and tell ya'll how many 2pt ww mint bars I consumed in one night?? NINE!! I ate 9 of them! and ...drum roll please.......my WI was today and I was down 4.5lbs! Now obviously I cannot make that a daily event, but...it shows you that you can have bad days and as long as you pick right back up where you started, you can do it! I love WW, I cannot fathom any other diet working for me with such a variety of foods to chose from. I am so excited to be back on track and losing again, what an awesome feeling! My new goal, is to be 189. When I reach that, I will purchase myself two new sets of scrubs (I work in a medical setting). Alot of my scrubs are kinda plain and I'd like some nice tailored ones that show off the new me. |

Nature's own has quite a few breads that are 2 slices for 1pt. I bought the whole wheat kind this time but before I used one in a white package (can't remember the kind exactly).

Beautiful kids Ames1223. I finished off the night okay. Dh went to a meeting at the school. I took the kids throught he drive through at McD's. I had a sald with crispy chicken and 1 pt dressing. Man, even the salads there are nasty sometimes. Anyway, I had three points left and nibbled on a peanut butter dessert think my daughter made. I am calling it an even 25 point day. Today has been odd. I have fueled by my scale showing a slight gain this morning? I ate more Circus cookies, but I counted them. Maybe I should not consume as many points in sugar. Ya think? Breakfast oatmeal 3 bites of DH pop tart 1 snack popcorn 1 Grande non fat no whip mocha 3 lt. string cheese 1 That's 9 out of 25. I may shoot for my old program 22 points to help with this week. I am gonna grab something to hold me over until dinner. toast 1 jelly 1 12 left for dinner. |

It was 1/2 of the breast I normally eat. I buy the frozen bags of chicken at SAMS Club .... yikes! Rice Krispie Treat 2pts Later, popcorn w/oil 4pts That gives me 24 out of 28. Not sure what else I could eat tonight, I'm not really hungry. I will have had both oils, 4 fruits/veggies, 2 milks and all my water. |

On going out to eat too much......at least you can do WW and go out. That is what I love about it. My dinner was a flop. It started when DH walked in the house and said what is that? Garlic? You got some smells goin' on in here. And he didn't mean good smells. I roasted garlic in my toaster oven to make some low point mashed potatoes. They were good. The salmon with the tomato basil relish or salsa was not so good. I don't know if any of you have had Olive Garden's Cappalini Pomodoro. Well the "relish" was just like that. It was roma tomatoes, fresh basil, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. It so did not go with the salmon. We all ate it anyway. Now I know how to make the "sauce" for my own pasta. I look forward to that at least. I too am looking forward to the weekend. Anyway, I have two points left out of 22 (not 25). I am having a frozen yogurt tonight. Yummy. I am going to shoot for the 22 points (old program) for a few days. I am worried I won't lose my two pounds this week. I really want to. I would love to see a number under 170. I did so bad on my diet today. Well not THAT awful, but I'm feeling bad about it nonetheless. I ate like seven Hershey Kisses with almonds. I didn't even look up the point value on them. Not to mention I gained half a pound. That doesn't help matters. :( BUT... tomorrow we get our home gym, so I'm very excited about that!

It's www.dwlz.com It's a great site, loaded w/info like this one and includes restaurants and their points...I visit both sites faithfully. I never ate my popcorn last night, so I ended the day at I think 20pts. I was reading my ww book, the new week 1 and realized that right now, my pts aren't 28. At work, typically I am on the go...standing quite frequently and rooming patients, etc. Right now, as we just opened I do alot of sitting down...so where I gave myself 2pts for activity, I think I should keep that at 0. I'm going to drop myself to 26 and kinda do the old method where if I do exercised, and I need those 2pts because I am truly hungry, then I will eat them...otherwise, 26 is my number for now :) |

Just some girl, don't worry about the kisses. How about counting them as your weekly points (the extra 35). I really indulged last week but counted EVERYTHING. Just start over today at 0.
Had an awesome workout this morning. I woke up and was on the road at 6:30. I had to pick my vehicle up from being repaired. I was rear ended in November. I am very happy to have my own vehicle back. Then I went straight to the gym. My watch said I burned just over 500 calories. It was great. breakfast toast with butter 3pts lunch peanut butter on lt bread 3pts cheetos 2pts I see a pattern here. I need to mix up the lunch think a little bit better. I am going ice skating with my kids this afternoon. This should be a good workout too as none of us know how to skate and I will have to hold up my 4 and 6 year olds. :) Will visit over the weekend. Have a good one. --Amy |
BAD me!!! I actually went OVER my points today... blah!!! I know it's only 1 point but I still feel like a pig. :( And I know I get 35 flex-points extra a week to use however I want, but I'm just feeling so down on myself about this!! I knew better........ Ugh!!!!!!

I had a bad day too, the stress of this week got to me...At first this am, with my stomach in knots over things, I thought it would be a 0 pt day, figuring I'd keep nothing down...WRONG! I ate alot, way over pts, prob. over my flex too....tomorrow is a new day thank goodness.

I have been bad.I haven't tracked in days and have been off program as well.The thai anniversary dinner was wonderful and things went downhill from there.I felt sick and spent the next 24 hours running to the bathroom.For all that I dropped a pound lol.Today I am back on plan wishing I had stayed there to begin with.My physical is Tues.and I hate to go there heavier than last time.

Hi all. I am working today. I have been lately on Sundays. By the time Friday comes around, I am so tired of transcribing, that I skip work until the last minute (usually Sun PM). At least today it is only 3:09 and I have about 45 minutes left of work to do. That means I will have all evening to clean house. Yay for me. Ha! Anyway, I have had quite the weekend with food.
Friday night Carabas-Shared chicken Parmesan with a WW buddy. Not too bad. However, I had I think 4 slices of the bread dipped in the oil with spices. Saturday. fruit smoothie 3pts Lunch-Fatburger I split a burger no mayo no cheese with my DD. She also got chili fries. I had some french fries too. dinner- to a friends for chicken tacos. Not too bad. However, I had two beers and too much food. At least the dessert was made with FF sugar free pudding and lite cool whip (I brought it). Sunday Breakfast bagel with lt cream cheese 6pts lunch canned chicken and pretzels 5pts skinny cow 2pts. OH with my bagel I had 1/2 a donut 4pts??? I am making stuffed peppers for dinner. I did save all my flex points for the weekend, but I think I went over. Tomorrows am scale will show me what's up (or down). Every meal is a new meal, every day a new day!!! Here's to doing better with our future food choices. |
