A cold windy Monday here. I'm afraid I'll blow away if I go outside. Well, okay, I won't, but holding on to the car door is great exercise.

Lydia - So sorry to hear about your brother.

Shan - welcome back. Glad you're settling in and now have a permanent job. If you couldn't restart personal fitness, I'd be done for.

Hi Rabbit are you feeling better?

We had a wonderful weekend. Took the train to Fairbanks (12 hours) with some friends. Stayed overnight, and on Sunday went to a hot springs resort. It was awesome to be outdoors in 146 degree water, and -25 degree air temps! Took a plane home last night. It was our Christmas present to ourselves, and was an absolute success.

My cold has finally died down to a whimper, and I'm back to doing cardio tonight since I think I can breathe enough.

Lydia - I just can't imagine what you must be going through. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope you're back here soon, even just for a moment of "normalcy".

Hi Everyone.

Just a real quick post. Thanks for all of your support.

I debated about whether or not to even share this info but I knew I was going to be "disappearing" for a few days. Anyway. Thanks again everyone. I am looking forward to Friday. DH and I are still having dinner with his department that evening. I think I'm going to give myself a little slack and have a nice meal that evening and a glass of red.

Lydia - I whole heartedly support the nice dinner and a glass of wine. A great way to try to wind down after what I am sure will be a very long week. I understand how hard it can be to share such personal information but I'm glad that you did.

Good morning all

Yesterday was brutal and I was asleep standing up by 8 pm. Leg day and tons of clients are a tough combination.

I never should have stepped on the scale this morning- I've eaten like an but the metal monster is up two pounds- so much for the magic tile!

Lydia- Thinking of you

It's freezing here, the wind is howling and I'm out the door!

Good morning gals! Temp on my truck showed -1F here this am when I was headed to the gym! Yikes, this is March!

I had a great workout today - this is week 7 of my current program (Jillian Michael's, from her book), and I really am feeling great - I feel like I have a firm, lean body in here under the excess fat. Now I just need to keep that up and peel away that extra fat!

Hey, here's a food review - I bought some Kashi TLC cookies this past weekend. Very whole grain and relatively low sugar. Very chewy, but good and satisfying - one with milk was quite filling. But, I just looked at their website and did not see them listed - darn, maybe they are being discontinued! I think I'll call them later and find out. I've been using quite a few Kashi products lately - I really like the 7-grain Pilaf - give it a try if you see it - it's got a great chewy texture and nutty taste - a nice alternative to brown rice.

Well, I guess I should get back to work - hope you all have a great day!

Are these Kashi cookies in the snack aisle or the health/diet aisle, or cereal row? I can never seem to find these hybrid products and it's probably bc I'm looking in the wrong section of the store.

Lydia - I am sorry to hear about your brother.

Shan - Welcome back!

Fran - I saw the TLC Kashi cookies at Costco last week. I went yesterday and they didn't have TLC Kashi cookies or TLC Kashi bars, they only had the crackers. I usually find the bars in the snack aisle.

I am doing well. Not too much going on here.

Fran - I bought both Kashi TLC cookies and bars at our BJ's warehouse club. I've bought the bars and crackers at grocery stores as well, usually in the health food or organic sections. The cereals are usually in the cereal aisle as well. I like Kashi GoLean (not GL crunch - too sweet!), and there is also a new one that is like grape nuts that DF likes.

I just called them and they are not discontinued. One Trail Mix cookie has 130 calories, 5g fat, 21g carbs - 4g fiber, 7g sugar, and 2g protein. So, not something I'll be eating every day, but a nice "treat" every once in a while.

So, we'll file this under that "amazing rebouding energy" category.........

My latest bizarre behavior involves vacuuming out my dryer lint chute. In the middle of doing laundry. Something that in and of itself used to just exhaust me. But now? I look down that little chute, see puff balls of lint, and think, hmmm, the vacuum could probably take care of this! And hook the sucker up. (I kill myself!)

I've developed a new, unhealthy relationship with my vacuum. Oh, and I worked out for 2.5 hours today. 1 hr treadmill cardio and 90 mins total body workout.

That's sick, I tell you, sick! I only use my vacumn cleaner out of dire necessity - and if I can get DH to do it, so much the better. Not lack of energy, I just don't like to do it.

hi LWL,

hrbabe - come to my house! I have a vacuum whimpering for action,I only take it for walkies every week...And I bet I have lint in my dryer as well!

Pat - yeah, my flu has also died down to a cough, but the cough is still there! I worked out on monday, flunked it as usual yesterday, and will do at home, if at all today. Right now my priority is to get myself calmed down again, and the house in some sort of order. I'll be away on a business trip to the far east next week, so I'm raking it very slow so as to rest up.

How are all the other LWL doing today ??? We haven't heard from frus in ages!!

Have a great day all,
Rabbit
