Good Morning!

Rachel: Hope you find something that helps you.
Nancy: Your flower boxes sound really nice. Hope you have lots of success growing seedlings. What are you growing?
CieCie: Do you babysit your nephew?
Muffin: So sorry you are under the weather. Get well soon!

I did 10 minutes on the effexor and swam 50 laps yesterday and I did a few leg exercises. I am still using up food in the house. I had yogurt with a little limeade concentrate and strawberries; cherrios; burger with egg whites, flat bread, fixings, lemon curd, etc. I made my half-goal wt. for the month. I like doing half-goals much better. It takes pressure off me...

Good Morning, Everyone!

Teri Recently I put low calorie cocoa mix in my Greek yogurt and that was really good. Have you tried that? I got a "memory" on my phone from 3 years ago and it was a picture of my caladiums coming up. I haven't seen anything coming up, yet. Probably because it's been too cool.

Steps from yesterday: 8,253

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

April 21

Luke 6:25
'Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.'

As Christians, we need to keep in mind that we live in a world of terrible inequality. While we have the opportunities to overeat and overindulge, many people have no such chances. So many people starve. It is surely humbling to realize that much of our obesity comes from living in a culture where we can have pretty much all we want. The Lord Jesus Christ chastised the people of His day who were filled with the good things of life, because they ignored their brothers and sisters who had nothing. As we diet and feel the hunger in our stomachs, we are more aware of the feelings of our neighbors around the world who do not have enough to eat.

Today's thought: Make me less, Lord: less body, less selfishness, less ego!

Hi!

CieCie: I've know some people asked to "babysit" a 16 yo...
Diana: Cocoa in yogurt sounds good. It has been unusally cool up here, too.

I increased resistance on the efflexor and did 10 minutes, and I did sculling/water walking. Diet was okay: a small slice of pizza and yogurt with sprinkles, etc. Later I made that dish with quinoa, chicken, beans, peas, tomato sauce, etc. It is nice to have something in the fridge to have to eat.

I did lots of grocery shopping...most of it healthy. Groceries are so expensive. I hope this lasts for a while.

Good morning! Teri, I babysat a teenager years ago. The reason was because she didn’t like to be alone in the house. 😁🌺😷❤️

Good Morning, Everyone! Happy Friday!

Steps from yesterday: 11,463

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

April 22

Matthew 6:25
'Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?'

When I began to diet, I realized how much of my time was spent with something to eat or drink in my hands. Before the diet, I had something in one hand or the other almost all the time. I used to spend a lot of time thinking about where I would eat, what I would eat, and how much I would eat. Food was an idol in my life. How foolish it is to live like that! There are so many things in life that are more important. Spend time in prayer and contemplation, asking the Lord to open the eyes of your heart to all the wonderful things you have missed for so long.

Today's thought: I want my life to be much more than food and drink!

Good morning, last night I slept much better and today I woke up with more energy.

Yesterday's steps: 7,537

My plan for today is to eat as planned and to stay away from all sweets. I already had breakfast and will be taking a shower in a few. While I have some energy, I think I'm also going to clean around the house and so some laundry.

I hope you all have a productive day.
