Morning gang. The rooster dropped more weight and down to 187.6! I focused on reduced sweet and bad carbs and staying around the calorie count. I had a good feeling I lost weight.

I hope this discussion on this job goes well. Whatever happens, happens.

hi Diana - the salt intake issue happens to me frequently. As you know, we need to filter the scale reading and look over time. Last Friday I was at 190.9, and today 187.6. The huge delta was not a direct linear result of low calories consumed and high calories burned - it that were the case I would have had to consume sub 1000 cals daily and burned 3500 cals daily. You have a great diet plan and the rewards have shown over time. hang in there.

Hi Gang!

My Friday is looking good so far. I didn’t have any sweet potato with my eggs this morning and had a small snack instead. Work day is shaping up well. I have a salad and afternoon snack packed. I always do better when I stay on top of my food prep.

I’ve found that I run my dishwasher A LOT more now that I’m in the meal prep and Tupperware/Pyrex groove. I’m probably averaging 2-3x per week. I find that being organized with food takes an element of stress out of my day. I don’t have to worry about what I am having for dinner anymore. My days haven’t been perfect, but I am eating out a bunch less. One step at a time.

morning all!

down another .6 today! Scale says 167. I'll take that for now SBD really does work for me if I follow it properly. Back on July 4th, 2006 when I got married (in Vegas LOL) I did phases 1 and 2 for a the few months prior and went from 172 to 148. I was very consistent and it got easy. Even in 2016-ish after going back up, I lost 20 pounds because we were riding our bikes 20-25 miles maybe 3 times a week! I didn't have to watch what I ate because of that. BUT, then in 2017 I started studying for my CPA and never had time for it any more, so then ended back up in the high 160s. The 170 numbers were always a result of drinking and binging (water weight) but I don't want to stay in the high 160s either. I'm feeling optimistic if I stick to phase 1 and continue in to phase 2, Vegas won't derail me too much if I go right back to phase 1 afterwards. It's hard because of DH's food choices (and drink!) but I am stronger than he is that way.

okay, I am in the office so I am limited to whatever I brought with me to eat today (we are not 100% back, just the school part is. I am on the temple side (admin) and most of us are still remote.) So no goodies and things left around to tempt me!
I brought the following:
breakfast - coffee! deli turkey 3.5 oz, boarshead lacy swiss cheese slice (I forgot my light mayo and mustard, boo!)
lunch - stir fry (my version of crack slaw) mushrooms, zucchini, chicken breast, shredded cabbage, lime infused olive oil, jalapeno white balsamic vinaigrette, red pepper flakes, light mayo and sriracha garnish
I forgot a snack! I do have refried beans here so that's fine but I don't think I will need them.

Happy Friday!!! 16 days to Vegas!

Good afternoon!

Thank you all for the warm welcome back. Doctor had no thoughts except to suggest that I cut carbs.

I've been having trouble getting deep into nutritional ketosis. I've been hanging around .5 on my blood ketone meter. Sometimes up to 1.3, but often down to .4 (which is out of ketosis). I am trying to get around 20g net carbs per day. I've been a little carb heavy today because the SO and I were out running errands early in the AM.

Breakfast - small low- carb cinnamon muffin
Lunch - tuna salad and french onion soup

I've only had coffee to drink.
Dinner will be fresh sea bass and a salad

I wish that I could shake some of this bloat.

I discovered I DO have something I brought for snack! LOL it was supposed to be part of breakfast - 2 egg whites. I just found a packet of peanut butter, so I put have of that in the whites and nuked them. don't judge me lol but it was SO GOOD and still on plan

Heading into the weekend and have no desire to drink. That's good because even wine is forbidden on this phase of SBD. I will probably download the demo for the new Resident Evil game for PS4 and play that. That should keep me busy for a little while. I've got some new VR games to play and a rather large library of other games already, VR and regular, some I've played a few times already but would like to play again. I love the ones that are like choose your own adventure books!

I'll try to come post dinner later!
