Good results today - 26k steps, disassembled the ugly 34 yr sofa sleeper ready for the junk yard, moved the yard with the pull behind, and according to Fitbit I should get around 4K cals burned.

feeling good, a former coworker called to request I should interview at his new place of employment. Seems pretty exciting.

Default Good morning

Usc4valpo, dealing with that sofa sleeper sounded daunting. Heavy old thing? Interesting on the job possibility!!

Had a great weekend. Great little get-away doing something I enjoy.......looking through antique shops. I took in 1910 calories Saturday and about 1800 on Sunday.

Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., recumbent bike, sit-ups, squats.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

April 12

Colossians 3:12
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.

In centuries past, people went without food in order to break their willful spirits. Certain individuals knew they were too concerned with worldly things, and they wanted to humble themselves, so they went without food. A person who hungers loses conceit and cockiness very quickly. God wants us to have a spirit of lowliness and meekness. He wants us to shape our wills to His, and He wants us to be patient in all that we do. Dieting makes us very dependent. We are vulnerable, and we need someone to lean on. Thankfully, we have the Lord to lean on, who will bear our full weight, and never let us down.

Today's thought: I'd rather put on patience than put on weight!

I need to post again. It's been a few days.

I got meal prep done this weekend, but had some off the rails eating/drinking yesterday. I'm getting back at it today.

I've talked on here a lot about preparing for a hiking trip. My brother is hiking the Appalachian Trail and my intention was to hike the 72 mile section through the Smoky Mountain National Park with him. He is going faster than planned and is now not going to be able to meet me for the week that I requested off work. I am furious with him. He agreed to meet me for a specific week and should not have agreed if he was not going to make every effort to be there. I spent around $600 on hiking gear, requested the week off work and have been making myself a lunatic preparing for this trip for the past 3 weeks. He has a history of being very inconsiderate like this.

I'm not sure what I am going to do. I am leaning towards hiking the Smoky Mountains alone. The trip is in 11 days. I already have the shelter permits and had to pre-pay the shuttle for my car.

He told me last night. I'm still furious.

Trying to keep it together and make it though my work day. I will still go for my evening walk as planned.

morning!

weekend was good, I didn't check in with you all but it went pretty well, food was good, drink was okay! Had maybe an extra drink or two Friday night (On the Rocks Old Fashioned, wow yum!) but Saturday only 2 glasses of wine, and last night almost 2 glasses of wine and a sip (maybe a half a shot) of vodka. Weight no change, which is actually not bad since I overdid the drink on Friday! I also did step workouts Friday AND Saturday, big ones. Then, I walked across the kitchen Saturday night and my knee totally tweaked out! It hurts now, but not to walk. Weird. I'm lifting weights at lunch today.

So far today - coffee, egg salad and light mayo on a piece of sourdough toast. I need more protein before my workout so I may have a greek yogurt. I am 26 days from Vegas! We won't be going to the pool because of the whole mask thing. I was going to reserve a day bed, too. BUT, they are saying you have to wear a mask unless you are IN the pool. Screw that. Why is it okay to eat in a restaurant without a mask but not lay out at the pool which is OUTSIDE! ugh. so I'll shop and eat and drink and walk the strip! I am ready!
