April 2021 - Daily Accountability/Lifestyle Change - Everyone Welcome!
Hi, Everyone! Welcome to the Check-In! Let's make it a great month!
I want to welcome everyone to the Daily Accountability Check-In. Our goal is to stay accountable and on track by posting our daily food and exercise choices. All food and exercise programs are welcome. Consistency is the key to reaching our weight loss goals.
Introduce yourself or jump right in and tell us what you have been doing.
I biked late tonight. I am still eating too much junk food.
Diana, Thanks again for starting a new thread. A new month, a fresh start...
Rachel: I once attended a plant swap that included a pot luck lunch. I think, maybe not the best combination because you get your hands dirty. Someone brought a crock pot with meatballs in some kind of sauce that included brown sugar, peppers, pineapple, ginger? I wish I could remember the recipe, but I think I could find something like it on the net. Anyway, it tasted really good. I wish I knew more about spices and making sauces.
Change4Life, I'm glad you posted. Praying for relief for you; that tinnitus sounds horrible. Let us know how you are doing.
Teri, you like exotic tastes! You are adventurous .
Did okay yesterday. Took in 1300 calories and got in some exercise on recumbent bike (not very long though), leg press, some squats and sit-ups and stretching.
Today's Plan: 1200-1300 calories, 2 liters water, veggies, fiber, vit/min/cal supp., chest press for weights, recumbent bike, squats, sit-ups, stretches.
I am going to start weighing again but I am not going to post it here. I will post it at the check-in where I log my weight and calories. I have updated my ticker, though. My weigh in for April 1 is down from my weigh in from March 1. I will see how I do with this. I have been judging myself harshly and been feeling anxious. Hopefully these little changes and baby steps will help.
Steps for yesterday: 6,004
This Morning: Oxycise
Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy!
April 1
James 1:4
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were a magic wand that we could wave, and suddenly the pounds would melt from our flesh and we would be the perfect weight? I know of no one who would choose the rigors and demands of a diet over a magic wand. Unfortunately, there are no magic wands, and the only way we can lose weight is to set ourselves to the task-body, mind, and spirit. We need to ask God's help, that we might remain committed to the task no matter how long it takes. When we call on the Lord, He will grant us the patience we so badly need.
Today's thought: The longer the wait, the less the weight!
Hi gang, I am hanging in there but very mentally tired right now. Job is overwhelming and sucks like usual. I look forward to some exercise and some outside walking in the cold Iowa air.
Today's reason to stay OP --- --- I'm tired of wearing plus size clothing
----------------------------------------------------- Weight on 3/26/21 --- 276.4 Current Weight --- 272 Short Term Goal (30 pounds) --- 246.4 -----------------------------------------------------
Sleep --- ---6 hr 43 min & 79 sleep score
Meditation --- ---10 min Youtube video by Great Meditation
Exercise--- ---I plan to walk 4 miles after work, weather looks nice.
I'm enjoying my new lunch bag and Tupperware. Trying to take my meal prep up a notch.
I'm also experimenting with intermittent fasting with a 10 hour feeding window of 6am to 4pm. I usually wake up starving and don't think I could give up breakfast/coffee. This will involve eating my last meal of the day before leaving work. I doubt I'll do it every single day, but a 10 hour window isn't that extreme.
ended the day yesterday really well...stayed on food plan and my step workout was great. I had grilled chicken sautéed with zoodles and some kale pesto w/white cheddar sauce made my Sonoma...a little high calorie on the sauce but not too bad. 1138 calories in and 355 out.
just having coffee right now! I am thinking about eating a pork chop with some egg whites and spinach this morning...I'll make it into an omelet. I'll go do the elliptical at the gym at 12:30 and stop in Pavilions and get some romaine so I can make a salad for lunch with the rest of the grilled chicken. That's about it! Back later.
Good evening! Did 2 miles Leslie Sansone before I left for work this morning. Power walked and ran errands during my lunch break. Will go for another power walk and run errands in a few minutes.
back from cardio! 340 calories burned in 32 minutes. not too bad.
breakfast ended up being an egg white omelet w/pork chop, broccoli, green salsa, light sour cream
lunch: salad (romaine, grilled chicken, reduced fat feta, tortilla strip salad toppers, zesty lime vinaigrette)
I had a couple pork rinds before the cardio...it's funny, my picky little girl kitty, Valentina (TeeTee), is so picky and hard to feed but she LOVES pork rinds! In fact, that girl insists I give her pieces of pork chop, too, so I guess she loves pork! Go figure. No cat food I have seen has pork in it.
I think I will eat my pork bacon burger tonight, wrapped in a crepini. that's it for now!
mmmm snack time! Crepini warmed in pan with slice of Boarshead horseradish cheddar melted on. Delish and low cal!
I might do step tomorrow during my lunch here at home, but I'm sort of considering a day off of exercise. I'll know tomorrow I am scheduled to lift weights on Saturday
Made it through the day. 2300 calories consumed but 20k steps in and 3500 calories so far on Fitbit. doing more Leslie Sansone as Ciecie got me into it. Her backup walkers are awesome. Will clean the house tomorrow during my day off in the morning and they take a virtual vacation in the afternoon. Weigh in tomorrow.
