I decided to not use Easter as an excuse to eat chocolate eggs or open a bottle of wine. I ate my normal breakfast and lunch without any deviations. I'm wrapping up meal prep for the week. I'm trying to spend more time over the weekends on meal prep. I'm heading to the supermarket later to pick up 4-5 things. It's been a generally lazy Sunday.

I'm home by myself today. My family isn't all vaccinated yet, so we aren't getting together. We're also not religious and Easter was never a big holiday for us. I'm heading out for my walk in about an hour. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello, ate too much today but should get 4000 plus cals of exercise consumed. We had leg of lamb which was great and I was hungry after walking and cleaning the Weber grill. Too much wine - oh well, I’ll get back in the groove tomorrow.

Hi Everyone!

Here's another one, I ate too much too. Back at it tomorrow.

I did get a workout in, though, so that's good.

Check-In: 15 minute walk & CS Waist & Abs Slenderizing

Have a Blessed evening!

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy! Have a great start to your week!

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters

April 5

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Leah was still terribly overweight. She had tried dozens of diets, none of which had made an impact. She attended church regularly, and she prayed continually for God to help her with her problem. She realized that she wasn't ready deep down inside, so she often ignored the voice of her conscience and the comfort of her prayers. Leah lived from day to day asking God's forgiveness and resolving to try harder in the future. She told her friends, 'When I'm ready, I know God will be there, and I know He will help me lose all the weight I need to.'

Today's thought: Lord, make me ready to lose weight!

Hello, rebounding today. Will do some strength training and steps. I am blown away that there are members believing 1500 cals is a lot of food. I think at a minimum you should eat 1200 cals and try to lose no more than 2 pounds a week. The Biggest Loser approach will not work folks - been there, done that.

Hello!

I have worked out twice so far this week. Diet is so-so.

Welcome all you new people: Sarah, Babara, Losing for Good! Keep coming back...

Jen: I have gone through veggie burgers from TJs. I have never tried those BK veggie burgers....

Ciecie: I watched a murder mystery film called The Pledge (made around 2000), directed by Sean Penn, starring Jack Nickelson and an all star cast of people playing important small roles....I knew that Sean Penn was a talented director. I am going to look up some of his other work. His work reminds me of films directed by Clint Eastwood, intense...very symbolic, etc.

Usc, I aim for 1500 calories daily. Sometimes I’m over and sometimes I’m under. It’s usually not by much. Teri, glad you liked the Sean Penn movie. Never been a fan of his. I did enjoy him in Dead Man Walking and I Am Sam.
